If Rudy can accept an endorsement from Tommy Thompson (which caused barly a ripple in the fabric of spacetime) then he can accept an endorsement from ANY former rival… with the exception of RONPAUL… who will probably endorse Mike Gravel.

Tier 2 endorsements are like kissing your sister…. its the Tier 1 endorsements that are like kissing Heidi Klum.

There is a lot of faith that people are just stupid. Why would this ‘political science’ professor believe that people ‘want cover’? This endorsement doesn’t change Rudy’s positions.

Rudy seems like the mafia candidate. He’s got some loyal following that he’ll pay off in one way or the other ‘making offers they can’t refuse’. If Rudy didn’t have these crony’s he wouldn’t stand a chance BECAUSE of his positions.

People don’t want ‘cover’. People want a candidate who represents their views. Rudy doesn’t no matter who he gets for VP people won’t be enthusiastic about him.

Rudy would do well to put as much distance as he can from switch-reswitchback. I just don’t think they’ll be able to separate the pro-life Sam from the amnesty Sam. It’s a net loss because Rudy will appear as if he has caved on his unapoligetic history on abortion.
