They didn’t take the bill through committee again, so they needed to get 60 votes on cloture to move it forward.

I wonder if the committee is full of anti-illegal immigration Senators and the Dems know it would never make it out of committee to the floor? It seems kind of stupid, if you have 52 votes, to bypass the committee.

Anyone know why they bypassed the committee for this bill?

Looks like cloture just failed. I think the vote was 52-44, they did not get the 60 votes needed to move the bill forward.

I hate Spector…If local and state gov want to legislate their own laws to help save themselves…Butt Out. The nerve of this government (some of them) to think they can control everyone’s community.

If states were allowed to settle this issue, the issue would be solved. Illegals would know where to go and where not to go. I’d be happy to deport to PA for ya.
