This is no laughing matter.

Remember Hank Gathers? He’s the athlete who collapsed and died on a basketball court. I believe it was later found that he might have had an undisclosed heart ailment or defect.

I’m a recovering heart patient. I suffered Congestive Heart Failure 3 years ago. I’m in my late 40’s and my family has a history of heart problems with my father dying of a heart attack in his forties. I know of what I speak. I would strongly hope that somebody close to Marie would suggest to her that she immediately sees a cardiologist.

Actually, not that easy to catch a fainter… I’ve tried once.

I did a little better than that (I got an arm under her, and basically fell with her landing in my lap) but when you don’t know if she’s going to faint for sure (much less when) it isn’t as easy as you’d think.

And unless you’re braced for it, having someone’s full weight pull (which she would have pulled him forward) will likely take you over anyhow. Unless you can prepare, and get a decent stance; you’re likely simply slowing their collapse.
