I earlier today welcomed this Press Release from Tancredo, with these comments from him. What is truly wretched today is that a Congressman has to actually remind ICE (Immigration…Enforcement) to enforce the laws.

I remind everyone concerned about illegal aliens to please call your Senators as early tomorrow morning as possible about the Senate appropriations monstrosity that Reid is going for cloture about tomorrow: S. 2205.

Tancredo just makes far too much sense to be understood by today’s mad Liberals. He’s not polished and wasting words and therefore, they’re stymied by the man’s lucid comments, such as here. Imagine that, illegal aliens congregating in a federal legislative office building, actually being identified and — Oh, my gosh — escorted “out”.

I’m curious how ICE (if they do) could dismiss or refuse Tancredo’s request, since he IS a member of Congress. It’ll be interesting to read how it’s justified if they fail to show up and take “enforcement” action as Tancredo has requested.

Tanc hits the common-sense nail on the head, again.

infidel4life on October 23, 2007 at 11:23 PM

Wow. That’s awesome. Tanc is so hard-core. He is going to be satisfied at the end of his life knowing he did all he could for his beliefs, but I can’t imagine he will be lauded by all sides! He makes his enemies.

Spirit of 1776 on October 23, 2007 at 11:23 PM

Evidently Tancredo sent a letter to ICE.

I would guess they gave Durbin a heads up and he was ready:

Even if immigration officials had showed up, the three immigrant children at his meeting have been allowed to stay in the country temporarily by the Homeland Security Department, Durbin said.

“We looked at this ahead of time because I don’t want to put these children in danger,” he said.

I loved this from the Kos Morons, this is the Democrats in a nutshell

* First off, you may not be completely on board with our party over immigration. You may even be kind of bigoted on this score. If that’s true — if you oppose efforts to help immigrants, if you want to withhold public services from them, if you want an aggressive policy of finding, arresting, and deporting them — we don’t want your vote.

* If you don’t believe in global warming (an issue we intend to address), we don’t want your vote.

* If you don’t like gay people, and don’t support full and equal rights (which we intend to push for), we don’t want your vote.

* If you don’t want to see the top income tax bracket raised (which we will probably need to do), we don’t want your vote.

* If you’re genuinely worried about terrorism, please vote elsewhere.

* If you favor abstinence over sex education, buzz off.

* If you’re a devout Christian who doesn’t like the separation of church and state, we don’t want your vote.

* If you’re against abortion rights, no thanks.

* If you believe that the US gives too much foreign aid, don’t vote for us because we’ll probably increase it.

* If you don’t think arts and humanities should be funded by the government, please don’t vote for us. We love the NEA.

* If you think women should stay at home, we support their right to work. Don’t vote for us.

* If you don’t want government run or mandated health care, don’t vote for us.

* If you don’t think the government has an interest in public health, for instance in reducing smoking, don’t vote for us.

* If you don’t like black people, or hispanics, or jews, or catholics, or indians (hindu or native american), or anyone else, you’ve come to the wrong place. [Unless of course those religions/races don't act like liberals then they're just coconuts or kikes or whatnot that your more then welcome to incite racial hatred for and of course we love Jew-killing Terrorists)

Well, they’ve never enforced the laws against highway robbery there so what’s a few illegal aliens.

Dusty on October 23, 2007 at 11:34 PM

Tancredo alerted the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency earlier today regarding Durbin’s 3:00 PM meeting.

Now there’s the love.

I wonder what the penalty is if ICE refuses to detain when a Congressman calls?

MB4 on October 23, 2007 at 11:37 PM

This is true. But it is not the battle the warrior fears, but the loss of what stirs him to fight. For Tanc it is the loss of what he think defines America as a great and honorable nation. I daresay his reputation and acclaim mean little to him and he doesn’t fear their loss, but does indeed fear the loss of the latter. That’s actually why I think he is a compelling political character. I think he is sincere at the point of attracting ridicule (as with his nuke M3cca etc comments).

Spirit of 1776 on October 23, 2007 at 11:48 PM

Durbin is harboring and abetting illegal aliens?

Is that not a crime yet? If so, let’s alert the proper authorities. If not, I’m willing to make an exception to the “let’s enforce the laws we have and not make new ones” regarding this mess.

If the wound isn’t mortal. Though Emerson would say that an idea born to the world is immortal. And it is true Rome manifested itself in every state that followed it’s decline, beit militarily in HRE or commercially in UK or governmentally in US (not inclusive or exclusive examples). So Confucius might just be right. Anyway, I’m punching out for the evening, cheers.

Bush Attacks Immigration Deal Opponents
May 29 12:53 PM US/Eastern
By BEN FELLER
Associated Press Writer

GLYNCO, Ga. (AP) – President Bush attacked opponents of an immigration deal Tuesday, suggesting they “don’t want to do what’s right for America.”

MB4 on October 24, 2007 at 2:01 AM

MB4 – yes, you are correct. I forgot all about that little gem.

It’s funny – the looneys always bark about ‘blood for oil’, but they are confused about the players and the trade items.

When it comes to Mexico, I think we have a ‘citizenship for oil’ deal in the works. They are trying to get it finalized, but they didn’t expect the uproar that amnesty and legalization would fuel in this country.

Anyone who suggests changes to our immigration laws should also consider restraints again the activities of the mexican embassies in this country. Talk about enabling the illegals!

The solution should be to deport all of the mexican ambassadors first. Then build the fence and go after employers who hire illegals, and financial institutions who pander to them.

The line to get out of this country would be long, indeed.

What DIckey sez about Tom
“His hatred for people who are immigrants is boundless,” Durbin said.

Durbin simply show the bigotry of the “open-borders” crowd, ignoring the ILLEGAL nature of the immigrants Tancredo opposes, and by wrongly accusing Tancredo of hate for opposing ILLEGAL immmigrants (more accurately called “illegal aliens”).

It’s the ILLEGAL immigrants, stupid!

“If we can’t enforce our laws inside the building where American laws are made, where can we enforce them?”

Here Tanc needs to brush up on his history. Before the Contract With America, congress routinely excempted itself from its own laws, which meant that our laws were not being enforced or obeyed in the building, and by the people, who made those laws.

Bigfoot on October 24, 2007 at 8:29 AM

Wooohoooo!!!

Way to go, Tanc. Dickless Dick Durbin gets a smack upside his fat head — too funny. “Hey, Dick, don’t be bringin’ no illegals to your little dog and pony show, or we’ll deport ‘em.”

Durbin must have been spitting blood. I love it.

Jaibones on October 24, 2007 at 8:59 AM

“We looked at this ahead of time because I don’t want to put these children in danger,” he [Durbin] said.

I’m guessing this overlooks the potential trauma these children may suffer from being dragged into strange surroundings, having protesters yelling at them at the top of their lungs while they are blinded by hundreds of flashbulbs from the sympathetic MSM advocates for illegals.

This is one circus children should be banned from attending.

Protection my @ss Durbin, it’s pure exploitation.

Anyway, I’m again disappointed that Tancredo isn’t doing any better in the presidential race.
