Probably because it’s about him and power…it’s about being ‘the first black President,’ not about serving the country.

It was a rendition of our National Anthem. Heh.

My flag pin normally only comes out once or twice a year, but Obama has inspired me to accessorize with it more often in his honor. Amazing how many things red, white and blue go with. :-)

Well, sorry to have to say this because I don’t think you mean any disrespect, but you’re doing it wrong too. The ‘big deal’ isn’t that lots of people do it wrong…the big deal is that lots of people aren’t running for President, a job where it is vitally important to do things according to protocol.

Is he going to show disrespect for the protocol of other nations, too? Will he try to high-five Putin and pull a ‘too-slow’ on his ‘down-low?’

Didn’t somebody on SNL recently parody national anthem singers?

Whether he likes it or not, ceremony is a part of the job he’s running for. If we can’t trust him to get the little things correct, how are we supposed to trust him with anything bigger?

In uniform, face the flag, come to attention, render salute with right arm, remain until the anthem ends.
