You say true. My prescription is an equal balance of work, play, and rest. It takes discipline, boundaries, and teaching people how to treat you in order to be happy.

By discipline, I mean, taking recreation and rest as seriously as work, especially if it goes against your instincts.

Who was it that said “if you do what you love for a living, you’ll never work a day in your life”?

There’s much truth in that but if you do it for 16-17 hours a day, it will eventually catch up with you. Imagine spending 16 hours a day at an amusement park, five days a week. You’d get a little weary of the roller coaster periodically.

Oh rats, I turned in right before you posted your comment so I didn’t see it until this morning. We sat up last night looking at maps and agonizing for you. It’s a relief that your animals are in good hands. What a horrible trauma for your guest to experience the day after she arrived in country. I hope she wasn’t alone. You’re going to have a tough damn week, know that I love you like a sister and will have anything you need from us.

Wow…Stay safe. In 1990 I lived right across the street from CSUSM, while it was still a chicken farm. They were just starting to do the ground work. So yea I know the area, be careful and stay safe.
