You know, I’ve pondered this one before. Seems possible to me that, in that certain region of the brain that governs the survival instinct, these journalists understand that their little jaunts to/from the aftermath of the latest bloodbath may perhaps be the only ‘safe’ journeys they can make, given the enemy’s predilection on the one hand to savage innocents, and, on the other hand, to have their atrocities broadcast to the outside world.

Any other destination, and there’d be no ulterior motive for the bad guys to lay off these clowns.

If true it would tend to reinforce, not moderate, their craven reporting habits.

I’ve far more enjoyed the banter on the show when this silly little weasel has not been on. Throwing something out that’s totally off the mark, then looking around to see if any one of the panel is impressed or may have found it shocking (hoping/trying to hold it up as humor)…well, my mother used to always remind me that if I were the only one laughing, it’s not funny/cute nor amusing. Gabler should have listened to my mother.

So, does that mean reporters are risking their lives and going out alone on the street without protection? Or are they going out at all? Are their “boots on the ground” on the ground in the Green Zone? At the local hotel? Where they can occasionally report about the latest carbomb?

Who said?: I spent a week in Iraq recently, and here's what impressed me most: the Americans. In particular, the quality and character of the American soldiers and Marines who are fighting there and trying to help rebuild the nation. Dennis Prager has had a great run lately (plenty of fodder out there) demonstrating that will the right is constantly berated as a party of “hate” (e.g. Newsweek’s CW take on MM this week), it is truly the left that exercises such hate.
