Video: The obligatory “cockatoo stomps it out to the Backstreet Boys” post
posted at 9:09 pm on October 18, 2007 by Allahpundit
I promise myself I’m not going to post crap like this, then I get a thousand e-mails about it and so of course I end up posting it anyway just to stem the tide. You’d think I would have learned my lesson after the Chris Crocker video, but no.
Snowball’s got some moves, though, doesn’t he? Exit fun fact: Chris Crocker makes an unwitting cameo in the National Republican Congressional Committee’s video contest spot. Yes, really.

Blowback

I don’t know what’s funnier…that vid, or the fact that a thousand people emailed it in.
JetBoy on October 18, 2007 at 9:48 PM
does this remind anyone else of john cusack and cameron diaz’s apartment in being john malkovich?

mimi1220 on October 18, 2007 at 9:52 PM
The bird in the background was getting it on too, just not with flair.
Jezla on October 18, 2007 at 9:54 PM
When do we see snowball on stupid pet tricks.
You know it is just a matter of time.
F15Mech on October 18, 2007 at 10:01 PM

I used to dance just like that…then my boss would tell me to get back behind the bar…back then it was New lips…er..New Kids on the Block though. Stupid pigeon with a clown wig ain’t got nothing on me.
austinnelly on October 18, 2007 at 10:27 PM
The irony is, some anthropologists think that mating rituals of birds inspired the invention of dance in early human cultures.

Funny, but 15 seconds was enough.

What a strutting, preening coxcomb!
Kralizec on October 18, 2007 at 11:03 PM
Why does the bird have to be White? Racists!
SouthernGent on October 18, 2007 at 11:05 PM
Uh, how many animals does that household contain? I count at least 4 cages in the background.
ballz2wallz on October 18, 2007 at 11:15 PM
A story IIRC? His previous owner dropped him off at some rescue outfit along with a CD and a note that said Watch, You Won’t Believe Your Eyes or some such. Well, one song = seeing = believing = filming = Youtube = love at first sight = fan for life!
I {{heart}} Snowball!
RushBaby on October 18, 2007 at 11:26 PM
It’s one of those precious families who dedicates their lives to rescuing animals, in this case, birds.
RushBaby on October 18, 2007 at 11:28 PM
Silly…but I reaaaaaallly enjoyed that.

I used to like this group. Much better than N’sync was in my opinion.
mram on October 19, 2007 at 12:54 AM
That was funny. I loved it. I remember when my grandson lived with me. He loved Backstreet Boys (I kinda liked them too). He was about 7 and he’d ask me to put them on, then he’d take the turkey baster to use as a pretend mic and sit at the window looking like he’d lost his first love while singing along. Then there was that time we got him to break dance. Can’t remember if that was Backstreet Boys or NSync.
He’s 14 now. His preference in music has gone downhill. ~sigh

I always wondered who actually listened to Backstreet Boys … now I find that I was correct in saying that their noise was for the birds …
deepdiver on October 19, 2007 at 1:35 AM
That was much more fun to watch than Crocker. The bird is actually talented.
nottakingsides on October 19, 2007 at 1:37 AM
Dog and cat owners, witness your avian overlords. It is useless to resist us.
ttevolla on October 19, 2007 at 1:59 AM
tickleddragon and RushBaby, you are such nice people.
This bird definitely dances better than millions, self included.
Entelechy on October 19, 2007 at 2:11 AM
Brittany’s choreography was for the birds. The birds accepted the challenge…and won hands down!
