Swedish artist facing death threat from Al Qaeda names new dog … Muhammed
posted at 10:25 am on October 18, 2007 by Allahpundit
Not the sanest man in the world, but possibly one of the bravest. An English translation of his latest blog post, courtesy of reader “Winston Churchill” and cleaned up a bit by yours truly:
The logic and composition is crystal clear. The foundation for the whole roundaboutdog project was the exhibition in Tallerud which had the name The Dog in the Art. [Background here. -- ed.] Well, now is the time to introduce a new member of staff.
The artist Vilks has gotten himself a specially trained guard dog, the dog Muhammed, watching each and every movement 24 hours a day.
When you first get to know Muhammad she sure is likeable, yes, it is a she, but the genus perspective is just a mark. For those who do not know Muhammed, getting close should only be done after taking a lot of precaution.
She seems like every other dog with a bone on its favorite carpet. But nothing is as it appears.
Follow the link. She doesn’t look too fierce, but then neither does he. Exit question: What’s liable to antagonize his persecutors more, the fact that he’s named the dog Muhammed or the fact that he’s named a female dog Muhammed?

Apparently not as I am still alive. Now if I was in an Isalmic country mocking their “God”, well I think that we all know the answer to that.

sorry for those looking for christians who have murdered non believers on the basis of the bible only have to google The Lords Resistence Army. Let me know what you think once you have checked out this wonderful christian group.
zane on October 18, 2007 at 2:41 PM
The Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA),[1] formed in 1987, is a rebel guerrilla army operating mainly in northern Uganda and parts of Sudan. The group is engaged in an armed rebellion against the Ugandan government in what is now one of Africa’s longest-running conflicts. It is led by Joseph Kony, who proclaims himself a spirit medium, and apparently wishes to establish a state based on the Ten Commandments and Acholi tradition.[2] The LRA is accused of widespread human rights violations, including mutilation, torture, rape, the abduction of civilians, the use of child soldiers and a number of massacres.

I see three items which would qualify this lunatic as a CINO.
One of the Acholi traditions: “belief in guardian and ancestor spirits.”
baldilocks on October 18, 2007 at 2:46 PM
The LRA rebels say they are fighting for the establishment of a government based on the biblical Ten Commandments. They are notorious for kidnapping children and forcing them to become rebel fighters or concubines. More than one-half-million people in Uganda’s Gulu and Kitgum districts have been displaced by the fighting and are living in temporary camps, protected by the army.

sure CINO, but the muzlims say al q are MINO

It’s not what’s said that counts, but what is: reality.
BTW: Crazy Swede has his own country.
I think I’m in love.
And here’s the most hilarious part:

Muhammed was a warmongering pedophile. Frankly naming the dog Muhammed is more of an insult to the dog.
saltydogg14 on October 18, 2007 at 3:58 PM
Zane, was that actually supposed to convince most of us that there is as high an incidence of Christians killing non-believers?
Seems we could name FAR FAR FAR FAR more incidences coming from Muslims. And these Ugandans yahoos don’t have whole countries under their rule either, do they? Like say, Iran, Syria, S.A…Egypt etc.
Again…the two religions are NOT equal in (contemporary)deeds.
tickleddragon on October 18, 2007 at 4:14 PM
Zane, thank you for pointing out a group that carries out atrocities while calling themselves Christians. However, it seems by the evidence you’ve provided that your criteria for being a Christian is to simply call yourself one. Sadly, your method of denigrating Christianity, a method that some would say is lazy and shallow, seems to be the norm for those looking to paint Christianity in a bad light. It’s called the Jim Jones/Tymothy McVeigh method: Find a sociopath who says he’s a Christian and then paint the whole body of believers with his insanity. I doubt you would do the same with our soldiers – like most of the left seem to do – or would you? Do you believe that all soldiers are bad because a few have committed horrible acts?
Anyway, for me, it’s very easy to determine by following your link that the Lord’s Resistance Army has nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity or the teachings of Christ. So again, as I have asked a previous poster, please provide scripture references from the New Testament that supports and encourages the rape, torture, and murder of anyone for any reason.

Christians are dangerous when they do not follow their faith; Muslims are dangerous when they do.
It is:
“Blessed are the merciful…”
and:
“Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
vs.
“Strike at their necks…”
-and:
“… kill those who change their religion.”
No amount of softpedalling Islamic intolerance and tyrannical terroism within its dogmas will wash.
The dismal examples in the world, of its fervid believers, are too numerous to ignore.

And terrorism in the name of islam isn’t “a slap in their face and their faith”? Puhleeze! Your anger is 180 degrees off.

What, no image of Muhammed tatooed on his butt?
Helloyawl on October 18, 2007 at 6:55 PM
I really can’t believe what I’m reading. Even at HotAir.
A man is being threatened with murder for something said. By people who kill people every day for things they say. By people who committed mass murder in Pakistan hours ago. By people who killed thousands of Americans.
The gentlemen has the balls and the wit to poke the evil bastards right back with an insult that’s lame by any standard (my gardener is named Jesus – should I be enraged?).
And what I find here is moral relativism, the trite stale “Hey, Christianity is just as bad!?” Never mind that an ounce of intelligence and a glance at your television puts that lie to bed – we already know they aren’t at all alike.
But even if that argument wasn’t laughable … the fact that I’m finding abstract (and intellectually dishonest) references to the Old Testament is just appalling.
The man is under a death sentence.
For something he said.
And these people will do it.
And this is your response?
You’re too stupid to feel shame and embarrassment, aren’t you?

Kinda odd that he would name his dog after a pig.
thejackal on October 19, 2007 at 9:07 AM
Darth or whomever else…If I said the sky was blue and you insisted it was brown, why would I want to argue the point? Scripture is quite clear that you are free to believe what you desire and I am not to take the gift God has given me and waste it on those who do not want it.
jed58 on October 19, 2007 at 9:08 AM
Good. Having one’s “faith” slapped every now and again builds character: just ask some American Christians. (And who knows–slap it often enough and it might even give way to a glimmer of reason.)
Frankly, though, I can’t really get behind the guy dragging his pet into this.

Yeah there’s nothing more brave than hacking off a bunch of Christians who will *gasp* pray for your soul.
Regarding naming the dog Mohammed, don’t do that to the poor dog.
srhoades on October 19, 2007 at 11:37 AM
That’s what I said when Newt Gingrich’s mom told Connie Chung that he’d called Hillary a “bitch”. It was an insult to female dogs. Angel, our Schneagle (Schnauser-Beagle mix) hasn’t always lived up to her name, but she sure doesn’t deserve being compared to HRC.

Moses was not a Christian
Much of the Bible is written as dispassionate history. The sins are not all highlighted in red lettering. Lessons can be derived from the facts.
David for instance committed major sins and because he was not struck down by lightening or denounced by hermit prophets does not imply he got a pass from God.
Christ is rough on people who commit certain sins and declares a hideous outcome for those people (worse than a millstone around the neck and being tossed into the sea for example). However such outcomes are to be dispensed by God, not the disciples
That is why many Christians like myself support the death penalty – because it sends criminals to their final judgement from God
I recall this line in High School. Usually catches young people who haven’t read the teachings of Christ and who do not know the history of Stalin, Mao, and Che
Bad behaviour by professed Christians is not Christian behaviour. Christians call it ‘sin’
Beware the inclusive ‘We’. We may be worshipping different gods
I do worry for the safety of the doggy. Had he named his puppy ‘Jesus’ the dog would be safe. What is it that makes me so certain? Could it be recent history?
