Still one could argue Vilks should have known better because of what happened in Denmark in 2005, when a cartoonist’s depictions of the prophet sparked violent protests in the Muslim world and prompted death threats against that cartoonist’s life.

So, what’s the deal here, women who wear short skirts in public should know better and not be surprised when they’re raped?

Comedy Central did show the initial airing of “Super Best Friends” but not after the Van Gogh assasination. Didn’t their president get some sort of free speech award?

Super Best Friends was an old episode, it was only after the Dutch cartoons was Mohammed taboo. I think Comedy Central embargoed Super Best Friends from being aired after the whole controversy, though.

For every good piece CNN does there are several pieces of garbage like this.

I’m guessing this is a purely hypothetical exercise?

In fact, Cartoon Wars pointed this out too, remember al-Qaeda’s retaliation video at the end, with Jesus, Bush and a bunch of other people crapping on each other while standing on an American flag draped on the ground? Comedy Central didn’t make any noise about that.
