As for someone on the right being analogous to Comrat Soros, there is no one even close.

Yeah there are those who contribute to campaigns and might fund a couple other activities, but Soros has been spreading cash to just about any hate-America-first group in existence…along with numerous defeatocrats.

So, next year, with the FMLA expansion passed, why would we not expand it to include pets, dear friends, health care insurance coverage for same, government medical payments for same, etc.? These are all legitimate concerns and costs for working families, are they not?

I love it. And since we’re on a little bit of a Rush role, here, might I point out that this, too, has been The Great One’s mantra for 20 years. Using LibLogic, there’s no way to project the cost of a social program, because there’s never a limit to how high we can go.

When the congress passed the (unpaid) Family and Medical Leave Nonsense Act, Rush was the first (I suppose) to assure us that it would only remain unpaid until the Dems gained a greater foothold, and then they would a) push to make it a paid leave, and b) expand the beneficiaries.

Voila.

Like he says: you can’t make this stuff up.

Sure, George Soros may set up a permanent residence in the Lincoln Bedroom if Hillary wins, but better that happening than me compromising my principles and voting for a baby killer like Rudy. Even if the costs don’t exceed her estimates, what about the toll of the economy. By subsidizing people to NOT work, they WON’T work. Expanding the FMLA is a bad idea that would weaken all industries, by encouraging people to be less productive.

What’s next? Government decreases the amount of hours in a work week and mandates that everyone take August off?

No, the closest guy to Soros on the Right is Bob Perry of Houston, who financed the Swift Boat vets and pumped about $5 million into Republican races in 2006.

But to be in Soros’s league, he’d have to 1) quadruple his contributions; 2) find four other people to pony up $20 million apiece; and 3) have an agenda to undermine American democracy.

I’d be OK with 1 & 2, but Perry’s too nice a guy for 3.
