I learned sport diving in the early 80’s but didn’t stick with it after starting the family. The deepest I’ve been was around 100′ off Ocho Rios off the coast of Jamaica. I actually done a free dive of about 90′ off the casino on Catalina. Mostly we dove off of Seal Beach in Laguna. I really do miss it.

Once you get into diving, it is addictive. Thirty seven years and still doing it, for me. (Yes, and the other “it” too. My little Thai wife keeps me going.)

Midrange support diver. “Midrange” was around 200 ft., usually an 90 minute deco dive on tri-mix.

I’ve been diving since my Navy days back in the seventies.

Yes, still in Thailand at the moment. My contract in Baghdad was completed last month. I’ll be doing some diving over the next ten weeks, then back to the states for Christmas & New Years.

I have a neat occupation: work about hald the time, dive the rest. I sometimes sign on to some underwater expeditions and my wife joins us to take the u/w photos.

I know the comment you are referring to. I am just trying to get your impression of it. The context of the comment was attacking Iran’s training camps etc. Those are not actions that have to be taken within hours, but rather over days. He did not say he would consult lawyers in a hot pursuit action.

Mitt is the most likable and trustworthy. Rudy a close second and Fred is somewhere behind Hunter.

Giuliani’s track record speaks for itself. None of the other candidates come even close to touching it. Why more on our side can’t see this is really beyond me.

That is the way the man speaks and when it is not clipped and put into a mashup it is highly recognizable to people who live in the south and rural areas of our country.

If you were alive in the late seventies and early eighties you might remember that Reagan was an affable man who was a good speaker when working off a speech but who was not as good speaking extemporaneously. In fact, Mondale demolished Reagan in one of their debates. Reagan looked and sounded old and slow. Yet, the American people chose him and a leader.

A lot of Americans will chose our next President based on whether they like his personality and they think they can trust him to his word. Tell me, of Guiliani, Romney, and Thompson, who is the most likeable and trustworthy? Be honest.

His message is clear, you know the MSM WANT RUDY in there because Hillary can beat him. Hence they never mention that he was recently a democrat nor did he fight the Republican governor over Tax cuts

Thats a candidate killer – Rudy – is not a fiscal conservative nor a social conservative he’s a JFK democrat strong on national defense, weak on everything else

A facade that for some reason appeals to the Rebubbakins south of the mason-dixie, but it is like a Hollywood set. Lean on it and it falls over. Fred is fine with gay marriage — “So be it.” Fred is pro-choice in the first trimester and takes money from abortion groups to lobby for them. He has been divorced, been a man whore, and married a younger woman. The only difference between Fred and Rudy is Rudy’s distinguished list of accomplishments. Oh, and Rudy is a real knight and Time’s Man of the Year.

I will take the highlighted points in order.

1) And it’s bad to appeal to your strongest supporters.

2) Federalism will appeal to independents and should be a bedrock position of conservatives.

3) He will appoint judges that overturn non-constitutionally judged decisions like Roe v. Wade. That is the best we can hope for.

4) Yes, younger women are the root of all evil.

5) And the dresses and the pro-choice position and the estranged family and the gun control. Just off the top of my head, there is much more.

And he has the Bernard problem and not one but two other scandals coming up.

He may be spending the campaign trail in court being questioned – what a way to run against Hillary
