I once took part in a bloggers conference with Santorum. I’m sorry he lost his job as a senator, but I’m especially sorry his children had to be subjected to this awful verbal assault.

I RARELY watch Meet the Press, but Bill Cosby was on Sunday promoting his new book, “Come On, People: On the Path from Victims to Victors”.

WOW. Bill is the new straight talk express! Here’s just one of the money quotes:

“If you say that “my black child is going to do more time for selling crack cocaine than your white child for selling cocaine, then I’m going to tell my black child, ‘Don’t sell it.”

I can just see the liberal slaves owners with their fingers in their ears chanting “lalalalalalala”.

What a stark difference between the way Bill see’s children and the liberals see children. Scum. Absolute scum!

On the other hand, Wonkette and the Left have that whole “hip urban single” thing about being deeply hostile to pretty much anything that represents traditional “family values.” The Ozzie-and-Harriet/Father-Knows-Best/Leave-It-To-Beaver image, especially when associated with the GOP, produces a reflexive hostility from that sort of leftist. Picking on Santorum’s kids is an example of that attitude — just by showing up in public with his family, he’s trying to “impose his values” on them.

Bryan at Hot Air finds more examples of leftists who drag the children of politicians they don’t like into the discussion for no apparent reason other than to say hateful and nasty things about them…

So, when the Democrats employ Graeme Frost as their Official SCHIP Poster Child, the Frost family’s three SUVs are not news by MSM standards.

But when liberal bloggers accuse conservatives of “smearing” the Frosts? That’s big news, and the story reads as if it were edited by Media Matters.

This week there was a fairly harsh criticism of the Iraq war from Lt Gen Sanchez.

The liberals have gleefully seized it as a chance to poke the noses of the Republicans, and as expected some Republicans have taken issue with the speech.

Wow, this is bottom-feeding of the worst kind. Finding random commenters who make despicable remarks? This is the internet. You can find people from any part of the spectrum who say terrible things. The better way to make your point is to highlight prominent bloggers and, better yet, MSM columnists like Maureen Dowd who consistently engage in lower levels of discourse than their counterparts.

She literally had NOTHING to do with the story, and Wonkette actually LIED with their blockquote. If you took the time before commenting, you’d see the only ACTUAL story, was that Santorum was hired to work at Fox. All the other stuff, and digging up of that old picture was a pure attack on the girl, nothing more. She wasn’t set to host anything on Fox, and is not involved in the story in the least.

As I said, I kind of have to fault Bryan for not making that bit clear, too.

Two words: Dull surprise. The fact that lefty blogs attack children should shock me. It should utterly surprise me. Wouldn’t that be appropriate? In fact, it should be, but it isn’t. This is exactly the behavior I expect from them, and I’m not at all surprised to see it when it rears its’ ugly head.

It would be insulting to children to say that the left is composed of nothing but children who have never grown up.

The reality is, most liberals know that they are being indecent, dishonest, willfully naive human beings but they just don’t care. The entire left is like “Breasts not Bombs,” they think the supposed indecency of other people [GWB is their favorite scapegoat] gives them a blank check for them to be indecent.

Children, at least, are innocent. These are amoral monsters.

That’s not what the Left says. They claim that the Right side of the Blogosphere will do anything…say anything.

Pointing out the plank in their eye is kind of the point of this post. It doesn’t keep us from picking at the splinter.

Wonkette has always been overestimated from any which angle. She is a perfect Decameron character of our time. Giovanni Boccaccio would just love her.

Probably so, but it’s not like a majority of US citizens who vote are going to know about this. I work with people, I know what they think, and it is not looking good. I tell them about Hot Air, and few other sites that have great info, but they do not seem to get it…depressing.
I mean I get it, they hate George Bush. Can we move on now? Apparently not.
