It is time to put a fully armed National Guard on the borders (all borders). Maybe a little isolationism wouldn't be so bad.

<blockquote>
I sure hope Arizona and Nevada stand strong - and Kalifornia continues to wimp out. And when they want to secede - fine. It won’t be long before Kalifornia will want to be back in the union.
</blockquote>

Personally, I do not think that California or the Southwest will secede in the near future. Maybe in the distant future. My reasoning is based on economics.

Mexico is receiving close to 20 billion in free annual revenue ("checks or cash payments sent back home") with no expenses from the illegals living here. Plus, the illegal aliens receive free Emergency Room treatment and a lot of other free social services. Why would they want to secede if they are receiving all the benefits?

Granted, many of the illegals have bought into the "reconquista" strategy of reclaiming the Southwest. But the Mexican government has not. The Mexican government just wants the status quo to continue indefinitely: keep the borders wide open which means more billions and billions of free revenue sent home to Mexico and not a single penny of expenses.

<blockquote>
How many hi-tech companies will flee from Kalifornia if they secede? How rich will Oregon/Washington become because of their Pacific ports?

Don’t worry - it will be easy to take Kalifornia back over in 20 years - if Kalifornia doesn’t crawl back on it’s knees before that.

</blockquote>

Now you are making a good point here. You see, when the rich begin to experience the negative daily consequences of illegal immigration, then I predict that Silicon Valley will move elsewhere. Right now, the rich in America attend schools that are not overcrowded due to illegal aliens. Currently, the rich go to the best hospitals whose Emergency Rooms are not flooded with illegals receiving free health care. When the rich begin to experience the crime wave, and begin to see home values decline, then you will see some changes. But right now the rich often do not experience the negative consequences of illegal immigration.

But when that changes, then the rich will not want any of it.

<blockquote>We still have a chance. This next general election is VERY important. We have to keep some semblance of order in our country or it’s the third world for us.

Forget about it. Only two candidates interested in solving the problem are Hunter and Tancredo.

Any other candidates currently hinting that they care are liars.

They can have "San Fransissy, Californicate" for all I care. They wouldn't let the Marines defend their swishy tails anyway. And maybe we could get some movies made that wouldn't be two hours of socialist propaganda.

<blockquote>Nice article to run right after Calderon and Fox make their “please do not send our citizens back to us, please!” tour. The candidate that will deport has my vote. Giuliani is out of the question.

NO ILLEGAL GETS SCHOOL
NO FREE MEDICAL and
NO WELFARE AND FOOD STAMPs.

Yes!!! Add to that: steal someone else's ID, SSN, or commit any other crime, and you will do (a lot of) hard time plus get deported at the end of the sentence.

Personally, I think our fighter pilots need more training. Since 1991, they have been reduced to being cargo haulers, ferrying bombs around Iraq and Afghanistan, dropping them on laser illuminated targets, or whatever.

They haven't had a good furball in, well, since 1991 before Saddam's boys did the ol' Monty Python thing: "RUN AWAY!!"

Now I know they can go and play "tag" with themselves. You know, one flight is "it" and the other flight tries to pretend to shoot them down, and then they switch around. But how much practice can you get shooting down your own planes, flown by pilots trained just like you (and using the exact tactics you learned). It's kinda like dancing with your sister.

No, what they need is fresh meat. You know, like practicing shooting down terrorist-controlled airliners on their way to blow up the Sears Tower?

Of course, most fighter pilots haven't fired an AIM for real. That should change, as well. Or used their Vulcan's against a real moving airplane target.

Wait!

I've got it!

All those small Mexican airlines flying those agile 737's, 727's and MD-80s! Loaded with "invaders". PERFECT!

I'm joking, Bradky.

Cavuto's segment on this this afternoon was good. He interviewed, I believe it was, the dude running the airline.

Cavuto asked him how he justifies flying people to the border who are going to cross illegally. The guy said, no joke, "I don't know that they are going to cross the border..."

Whatever.

<blockquote>Or, failing doing things overtly, the Government of Mexico could build a bunch of huge, well engineered tunnels under the borders for a few miles, an actual underground railroad.

LegendHasIt on October 12, 2007 at 7:44 PM</blockquote>
Don’t give them any ideas. On the other hand, Mexico probably wouldn’t need to undertake such a massive engineering project to accomplish the same goal. Mexico doesn’t realize it, but if they threw their military against our border and used all of their able-bodied civilians as human shields, they could virtually take over our country while at least 60% of our population tried to invent ways that it was really all our fault.

Give up?!? AP, for the first time, I'm really disappointed.
Hell, I'm a Democrat and I haven't given up.
Illegal immigration is the number 1 reason why I plan to vote Republican next September.

<blockquote>
Its LAW enacted by Congress… its funded… its being done by the Executive branch… why is this judge even getting involved???

</blockquote>

Because they can - and the liberals want them to get involved.

Anything - everything - is up for judicial interpretation.

Or - haven't you been reading the news lately?

No, we don't give up on this. The one issue that the vast majority of the country agrees on? The one where we've already won at least a temporary stay? No. Not until there's somewhere else to move to and start over, anyway.

Funny part about that judges ruling on the DHS plan..

Judges can only overturn a decision like that on Constitutional grounds...

What part of that plan in unConstitutional?

Its LAW enacted by Congress... its funded... its being done by the Executive branch... why is this judge even getting involved???

Oh and by the way, while we are on the topic of the Mexican Government abetting illegals heading to, or already in the USA:

<a href="http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1910017/posts" rel="nofollow">Kids need health insurance? Take them to the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque (NM) to sign up!</a>

I sure hope Arizona and Nevada stand strong - and Kalifornia continues to wimp out. And when they want to secede - fine. It won't be long before Kalifornia will want to be back in the union.

How many hi-tech companies will flee from Kalifornia if they secede? How rich will Oregon/Washington become because of their Pacific ports?

Don't worry - it will be easy to take Kalifornia back over in 20 years - if Kalifornia doesn't crawl back on it's knees before that.

And the judge said they can’t send out the letters because people would lose <strike>their jobs</strike> the jobs Americans won't do.

Fixed that for ya.
