Let me rephrase:

I may be left-of-center on some social issues to the point where I’d disagree with Coulter on the manner, but a contest to pelt her with Bagels? Unbelievable. That, and a waste of good food.

This is why that, while I may be left-of-center some of the time socially, I can not associate myself with most of the Political Left. Beyond the fact that they’re so wrong-headed especially on various issues (especially on the War against Islamofascism), they’re just so hateful.

Thank God for Ann. I think we were separated at birth, but our minds stayed connected.

For Coulter to say that she would like for Jews to become Christians is NOT an insult. Perhaps some Jews would be insulted, but they don’t have a right NOT to be. Just as I don’t have a right not to be insulted (outraged, horrified, offended) by the Folsom Street Fair, or by Disneyland hosting a Gay Day.

If the website thinks that including a “disclaimer” to shield themselves from legal action if indeed Ann gets assaulted, they have another think coming. She has just a tad more legal training than they do, and direct experience with such buffoons.

And what’s with throwing a hissy-fit over someone including a Scripture reference? If there were topic police handing out violations for running tangential, Apostle53 would have to wait in line behind many others here.

And Annie’s bodyguards packing a flamethrower is a distinct possibility.

You have to be smarter than an avacado to understand Ann Coulter. Her humor seems to go over the heads of the guacamole-between-the-ears fairly often.

Coulter is a giant zit on the Conservative movement. The MSM loves her because they can continue to paint the right as mean and bigoted. She’s a bigger embarassment than MoveOn.

Just how would you like to respond to the mainstream left, the hateful, BDS-enthralled progs who would physically burn flags, carry out protests in pink, and throw bagels (or worse, given a chance) at Ann Coulter? I’ll tell you this: learned dialect and intellectual nuance at only the highest levels of discourse doesn’t mean a thing with the majority of the left’s ideologues.

We have the thoughtful pundits, and we have Ann, Rush, and Sean, who aren’t afraid to get ‘down and dirty’ with the largest segment of the progressives: those who aren’t capable of the high level of discourse you must favor. Or don’t care. Their shouts drown out our whisperers.

I’m glad Ann is on the right side of the issues, my side, and has enough strength to fight not only the eggheads and ‘progressive intelligentsia’, but the mainstream boobs and knuckle draggers like those who’ve targeted her. Because it’s important to see some response that’s a bit more gratifying than winning an argument with the Greenwald[s].

You need more than just a fencing sword in some battles; it’s nice to have a 30mm or two for the heavy work…

Yep, and reading the comments from those links, I felt like I was reading about muslims reacting to a perceived insult, the ignorance and self-righteousness oozed out, they want to stone someone (literally in many of those posts) for something they don’t understand.

I see your point Dorian and can certainly understand how some will be put-off by the ad-hoc biblical references inserted by others. I was simply pointing out where it appeared to me, Apostle 53 was coming from, tangential as that may be to the lefty fatwa in question.

If I was on the left, I’d be mad too.

They hate themselves and want us to hate everyone right along with them. Coulter exposes them for what they are and it’s like sprinkling a vampire with holy water … they recoil and want to kill that which reminds them of what they are.

Apostle 53 seems to be making reference to a moment, early on, where the schism between mainline judi-ism and the Christian sect develops around the issues of circumcision and the inclusion (evangelism) of gentiles. The evangelistic nature of the new Jewish sect of Christianity being at the heart of an internal dispute which shall not find resolution.

Hence Anne’s comments of 2 days ago.
