Time for another round of one side cherry-picking the worst excesses of the dregs from the other and turning it into an emblem of the whole (most recently with that Red State commenter vis-a-vis Graeme Frost). I’ll spare the left that unfairness with this. Less interesting to me than the fact that some douchebag would think of it is that certain others might promote it. Case in point. Keep an eye on Technorati to see who else thinks a few bagels to the face qualifies as substantive dissent these days.
The comments over there are mixed but this warrants quoting: “If someone was to go up to her and horrifically scar her from head to toe she would still be alive, so it wouldn’t be that bad. If the bitch gets hit by bagels because she ENRAGED PEOPLE TO THE POINT OF SETTING UP A BOUNTY ON HER HEAD, maybe the bitch needs to be pelted with bagels.”

Apostle 53 seems to be making reference to a moment, early on, where the schism between mainline judi-ism and the Christian sect develops around the issues of circumcision and the inclusion (evangelism) of gentiles. The evangelistic nature of the new Jewish sect of Christianity being at the heart of an internal dispute which shall not find resolution.

It just amazes me how the left somehow thinks they’re the gatekeepers of morality and all that’s good yet every single one of their actions is filled with violence, hate and a self loathing that must make day to day existence miserable.

Just how would you like to respond to the mainstream left, the hateful, BDS-enthralled progs who would physically burn flags, carry out protests in pink, and throw bagels (or worse, given a chance) at Ann Coulter? I’ll tell you this: learned dialect and intellectual nuance at only the highest levels of discourse doesn’t mean a thing with the majority of the left’s ideologues.
We have the thoughtful pundits, and we have Ann, Rush, and Sean, who aren’t afraid to get ‘down and dirty’ with the largest segment of the progressives: those who aren’t capable of the high level of discourse you must favor. Or don’t care. Their shouts drown out our whisperers.
I’m glad Ann is on the right side of the issues, my side, and has enough strength to fight not only the eggheads and ‘progressive intelligentsia’, but the mainstream boobs and knuckle draggers like those who’ve targeted her. Because it’s important to see some response that’s a bit more gratifying than winning an argument with the Greenwald[s].

Just goes to show you, anytime a Christian expresses love for others, the anti-christians will scream and whine.
For Coulter to say that she would like for Jews to become Christians is NOT an insult. Perhaps some Jews would be insulted, but they don’t have a right NOT to be. Just as I don’t have a right not to be insulted (outraged, horrified, offended) by the Folsom Street Fair, or by Disneyland hosting a Gay Day.
If the website thinks that including a “disclaimer” to shield themselves from legal action if indeed Ann gets assaulted, they have another think coming. She has just a tad more legal training than they do, and direct experience with such buffoons.
And what’s with throwing a hissy-fit over someone including a Scripture reference? If there were topic police handing out violations for running tangential, Apostle53 would have to wait in line behind many others here.

This is why that, while I may be left-of-center some of the time socially, I can not associate myself with most of the Political Left. Beyond the fact that they’re so wrong-headed especially on various issues (especially on the War against Islamofascism), they’re just so hateful.
