No, not really more trolls than one would guess. There are plenty of folks who have opposing view points, but not many that post just to piss people off. Sometimes even nonfactor overcomes his urge to post simple one liners simply to incite flaming. Ernesto, while quite the center-leftist from what I read, actually engages debate.

They are not a battleground because the left has won. The great vast majority of instructors are leftists, the leftist students and faculty run the agenda of the school. How many, compared to leftists, conservatives were asked to speak at major Universities (or minor) at graduation.
There can only be a battle, if there is someone willing to fight. Leftists are full of hate, hence alway looking to battle. Conservatives, by and large, want an education…leave me alone, I will make it on my own; looks like apathy, more like; I can tolerate these few years of insanity.

I knew guys like this in college twenty plus years ago. He’s trying to get a girlfriend. Can’t make it with girls who think…must try the lefty girls who get high and emote.

Helpfully, Mr. Tierney has a Facebook page that helps us understand what motivated him to distribute slanderous posters around the GWU campus, posters that depicted the YAF’s Islamo-Fascism Week as an orgy of racism.

my political education began many years ago when I started to listen to Rage Against the Machine.

Strange as it sounds, RATM debunks communism, albeit unwittingly. On the one hand, they say stuff like this:

America touts itself as the land of the free, but the number one freedom that you and I have is the freedom to enter into a subservient role in the workplace. Once you exercise this freedom you’ve lost all control over what you do, what is produced, and how it is produced. And in the end, the product doesn’t belong to you. The only way you can avoid bosses and jobs is if you don’t care about making a living. Which leads to the second freedom: the freedom to starve.

Then they say stuff like this in regards to their lucrative relationship with Epic Records:

Epic agreed to everything we asked—and they’ve followed through.… We never saw a[n] [ideological] conflict as long as we maintained creative control.

Can’t have it both ways, guys. If our only choice in America is subservience or starvation, then how is it that RATM–and countless other people–have achieved success doing what they want? Might it be that capitalism, whatever its faults, allows a level of freedom not found elsewhere?
