Steynian nightmare: 1 out of 7 Brits reluctant to have kids because of terror

Low birthrates in Europe help to Islamify the continent, which increases the risk of jihadist terror — which drives down birthrates! It’s a vicious circle ripped from the darkest pages of “America Alone”:
One in seven adults are telling their partners: “Not tonight dear, I’m terrified of terrorism”.
As much as 15 per cent of adults is reluctant to have children and 27 per cent less inclined to plan for the future because of world troubles, according to a survey published today.
Terrorism is people’s greatest fear – 70 per cent say they are most worried about that, while immigration worries 58 per cent of people.
I thought fear of terror was supposed to have the opposite effect. No matter. The bad news: terrorism appears to be cowing the west into almost literal impotence. The good news: beta males suddenly have a foolproof new excuse as to why they can’t get action. Unless they live in New York, of course, in which case there’s no excuse at all.

I have always wondered, How long in France, for example, until the muslim minority becomes a majority, assumes legal power of the government by the vote, and assumes the bulk of the military by numbers. Then, my friends, muslims will be in full legal control of a nuclear stockpile while the world watches and is powerless to do anything about it.

If it weren’t highly unethical and basically genocide, I’d say we should work on a non-lethal way to make physiologically unable to reproduce.
BadgerHawk on October 8, 2007 at 11:20 AM
make *it* physiologicallly unable to reproduce, and use it on our enemies.
BadgerHawk on October 8, 2007 at 11:22 AM
lots of allusions to AP’s bad sex life this week. is it mating season in new york?
lorien1973 on October 8, 2007 at 11:24 AM
Thanks for the link, AP.
The women in NYC sure have gotten kinkier since my younger days, though I’m still perplexed by the allure of chicken factories.

A lot of peckers in a small area? *ba rump bump bump*
lorien1973 on October 8, 2007 at 11:28 AM
That would be a second nuclear stockpile. They already have Pakistan’s, and Muslim terrorism in India is a huge problem and growing. India is off the radar screen somewhat, but if Pakistans’s unrest escalates further, watch for an Indian response.

Maybe If Britain embraced their new muslim masters with a little more sincerity all the scary stuff will go away…

According to official reports by the German federal government, by 2015 more than 50% of male inhabitants age 40 and below of the 10 largest German cities will have an “immigration background”. 90% of those are Muslim, but that the reports don’t tell you.
Niko on October 8, 2007 at 11:40 AM
Will the overlords have mandatory Norplant for Dhimmis, or do they prefer the tax $?
JiangxiDad on October 8, 2007 at 11:41 AM
My crap-o-meter is registering a big spike, like a seismic event. From the Daily Mail story, emphasis mine:
What could be more of a known force than immigration? And is it unreasonable to be “anxious” about creeping Sharia and spooky people dressed up in menacing looking burkas?
Yeah, sure, climate change is based on reason and logic.
This guy must be in sales.
Exit question: Will all this despair cause the, err, Asian population to peter out too?

A friend who calls himself reliably informed on all things German believes Germany will revolt first, in spite of their post-war deep-seated pacifism. Wer weiss?

I fully agree with research on something to cause sterilization. It’s a culture war, and we need the proper weapons.
All I fear is what happens when they get ahold of it.
MadisonConservative on October 8, 2007 at 12:09 PM
Lets stop with the sterilization talk, folks. That goes the same way of germ warfare. Impossible to control and eventually wipes us all out.
It’s the idea we need to kill, not a billion people.
How do we convince a billion people they are wrong?
redshirt on October 8, 2007 at 12:15 PM
That’s really not needed. Birthrates in most Islamic countries are actually down. What’s up is life expectancy. We need to just separate ourselves from the Islamic world and stop giving them Western medicine. They don’t want it anyway, as a commenter on my blog was so helpful to point out:
Islam is a self-limiting problem if we don’t help it along.
PRCalDude on October 8, 2007 at 12:16 PM
Eugenics? Are you morons really talking about that? You do realize stuff like that kind if talk is used to attack MM, right? Use your heads.
Bad Candy on October 8, 2007 at 12:20 PM
Agree. It has failed in every country it is tried in. Only by export to new hosts does it succeed.
JiangxiDad on October 8, 2007 at 12:20 PM
Stunning how quickly it turned in that direction.
lorien1973 on October 8, 2007 at 12:31 PM
Add to this the fact that British men love to dress up like women and entertain other British men, and you have zero population growth.
Good news for the lunatic Islamic invaders.
Let’s all sing, “They’ll be hijabs all over, the White cliffs of Dover.”

You think they’d hesitate for a moment to use it?
MadisonConservative on October 8, 2007 at 12:50 PM
That fear makes no sense. If your risk of dying untimely is higher in the age of terrorism, then the survival of your DNA (the biological imperative) is served only by having more offspring, at least some of whom, it is hoped, will survive to mate. Maybe they just polled cowards.
HerrMorgenholz on October 8, 2007 at 12:53 PM
I’d feel alot better about Steyn if (1) he would shave, and (2) quit talking about people not getting it on quite so much.
bosteed on October 8, 2007 at 12:54 PM
I’m talking about that people on this board are advocating the sterilization of an entire religion because of a minority of that religion who wants to see us all dead. We may as well start a nuke mecca thread. I’m surprised the ban hammer hasn’t come down in here yet, really.
lorien1973 on October 8, 2007 at 12:54 PM
Knock it off with this creepy, filthy nonsense right now. I’ve already had to delete two comments in this vein. The next person who chimes in with it is getting banned without another word.
Allahpundit on October 8, 2007 at 12:56 PM
I don’t know about the others, but I was talking about the use of it against the enemy, e.g. that minority you’re talking about, not the entire religion. I’m talking about using such a concept against those who consider their offspring their tools in the furtherance of Islamic domination.
MadisonConservative on October 8, 2007 at 12:57 PM
*sigh* Then go ahead and delete this comment and the one above.
MadisonConservative on October 8, 2007 at 12:58 PM
I was thinking more like attacking muslim holy sites (not nuking them) to show the fallability of their religion. Imagine if on 9/11 they had successfully ran a plane into the white house, the power of that image. Imagine, also, the flag of the US flying over their most holy sites.
But “oh no, we musn’t anger the arab street!”
I say, the arab street better not anger us. When pushed too far, we can hit alot harder than them
redshirt on October 8, 2007 at 12:59 PM
we can’t just isolate Islam to certain countries and expect to to implode. Not feasible and it has advanced to over a billion people without any outside ‘help’.

Sorry for starting us down that path Allah. I hope it was clear that I don’t think we should sterilize our enemies, but I should have just not said anything.

I’ve just ordered my prayer rug and scheduled a vasectomy.
But seriously folks! Here in the land of pork loving people we have a group thinking about building a mosque.

You’ve thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain’t worth the blood
That runs in your veins
But I question the poll anyways. I really don’t think 42% of couples are saying “lets not have children because of world troubles,” it sounds more like an excuse was handed to them by the pollster; if their question was “why don’t you want to have children right now,” I’d think it a bit more valid.
Nonfactor on October 8, 2007 at 3:21 PM
Maybe the Brits/Euros are tacitly resigned to the future Caliphate, and simply “do not wish to bring children into that world”?
Can’t say I’m entirely unsympathetic…but it will precipitate a total collapse
Ochlan on October 8, 2007 at 3:31 PM
Heightened sexual desire would have led naturally to the conception of more children, prior to the advent of easy contraception and abortion. The easy availability of contraception and abortion seems to mean that fear, sympathy, and calculation together can thwart sexual desire. The result is more “romance” and sex, but fewer children.
Kralizec on October 8, 2007 at 4:13 PM
Nonnie, haven’t you ever heard people say that they can’t bring a child into a world like this? Aren’t those people usually Liberals? I used to hear that all the time and that was before 9/11.
Libs are congenital pessimists, and that is a key psychological trait that separates Libs from conservatives.
Buy Danish on October 8, 2007 at 4:16 PM
Not needed. Britain could just cut off their welfare and Muslims would have less children, wouldn’t be genocide either. The welfare state basically pays Muslim miorities to overbreed same as aid to the Palestinians.
aengus on October 8, 2007 at 4:31 PM
Just have children yourself.

Hey, Allah: You’re not doing your part.
Bryan’s got kids. Michelle’s got kids. You got no kids.
Is this because (a) you’re an atheist, or (b) you have no iPhone?

Someone agrees with me!
PRCalDude on October 8, 2007 at 4:52 PM
Why blame this on the Islamofication of the UK? If you read the whole article, you’d see the rest of the stats:
1 out of 7 Brits reluctant to have kids because of terror.
2 out of 7 Brits reluctant to have kids because “watchin’ ‘em all daye gits ya knackered, innit?”
5 out of 7 Brits reluctant to have kids because of global warming.
6 out of 7 Brits reluctant to have kids because of genetically crooked teeth.
See? There’s plenty of other excuses…
ScottMcC on October 8, 2007 at 4:57 PM
Now that’s something I could probably go along with. If you receive federal assistance (welfare, etal) you have to take birth control. Under the theory that if you cannot afford your current lifestyle, you certainly can afford yourself + 1. No race checks required; make it a blanket policy. Lots of problems would be solved.
