Video: The art of the scare ad

From the Aussie mag Manic Times. Our accents are different but our cultures oh so similar.

This is what I’ve always imagined Putin’s ads look like. Not his attack ads. The regular kind.

Looks like one of those anti-smoking ads.

Yeah, the jig is up for the libs. That’s why they’re going ballistic all the time.

The other night on H&C, Evan Maloney was on. He’s the filmmaker from Indoctrinate U. Was funny to see worn-out middle-aged Colmes try to play worn-out 60’s liberal crap on the young Maloney. The hip guy was the conservative. The establishment was the liberal. My how the tables have turned.

Every day, a bunch of aging baby-boomer libs die. It’s a beautiful thing.

JiangxiDad on October 6, 2007 at 12:37 PM

That was great. Reminds me of the ads the Liberal party of Canada ran during the last federal election. The message basically was – (scary voice) “vote for Harper and you WILL DIE to gun violence/global warming in the most painful way possible.”

Who’s got the counter? Maybe a lib-doomsday clock would be more effective.

Unfortunately, they seem to be spawning at the universities.

Yeah, but most grow up, mature, and become normal. Lots of HA commenters were prob. different in college.

It’s those radical leftovers from the 60’s and 70’s that never matured and who are desperately trying to hold on to power now.

But I do like your idea of a clock. How about on the new World Trade Center if it ever gets built?

You forgot to mention that Stephen Harper eats puppies and beats babies. Or eats babies and beats puppies. Or eats and beats both babies and puppies.

And after all those accusations, the Liberals won’t even credit Mr. Harper for eliminating the carbon footprints of those babies and puppies.

Canadian Infidel on October 6, 2007 at 1:04 PM

FYI

The Liberal Party of Australia is the conservative party in Australia.

That makes sense! I was a bit perplexed as to why the liberals would complain about Union thugs.

Substitute Hillary’s mug for the bunny and I’d sh!t my pants and surrender forthwith.

infidel4life on October 6, 2007 at 1:29 PM

Yup, Big S is right. The Liberals are the good guys in Australia.

madne0 on October 6, 2007 at 1:30 PM

Any of you guys remember the Clinton Chronicles?

It was, like, an hour and a half of that. Mrs. See-Dub and I still imitate the throbbing, ominous music whenever we are confronted with conspiracy theory on film…

Bwwwwwwowwwww….Bwwwwwowwwwww….

see-dubya on October 6, 2007 at 1:34 PM

I hate bunnies.

Black Adam on October 6, 2007 at 1:36 PM

Somebody should buy airtime here in the U.S. around every election and play that at the same time as the pols ads and see what happens,

Yup, Big S is right. The Liberals are the good guys in Australia.

True, but these types of ads are ridiculous no matter who is producing them.

Tenbatsu on October 6, 2007 at 1:47 PM

I luvs bunnies, especially the playboy ones

Anyone remember the the “subliminal party” parodies of anti-Harper ads?
Though I live in Chicago my sis-in law lives in Canada-and we couldn’t get enough of those.
Unfortunately they don’t seem to be up anymore.
The Blogging Tories had some great ones too.

JiangxiDad on October 6, 2007 at 12:53 PM

Sorry, Jiangxi, but the spawn populated the entire education system: Schools replace “American History” courses with “American Racism” and “American Sexism” courses; I saw a HS Curriculum report suggesting the elimination of all Advanced Placement courses since they made people who couldn’t get into them “feel bad”; some schools are showing An Inconvenient Truth in every class.

Seems like a lib doomsday clock might even be running in reverse.

Sounds like a new liberal bleeding heart campaign.

Lol, good stuff! Am I the only one tempted to make one of these about Allah?

Those people must have done the Harry Reid ads when he ran for senate last time.

or

“Now I understand why Jimmy was so scared.”
