Loss of ice the size of Texas and California?

Well, then where is it? Where is the water?

Why can't we measure what surely has to be a concomitant increase in sea level?

We have warned repeatedly that the seas will rise as the ice melts.

So where is it? I was looking forward to buying some shorefront property-

Also, I could not pass up the opportunity to comment on the picture of Uncle Al trying to give penguins their marching orders. While the penguins are oblivious to the bloviator, because they really know who their leader is.

Mother Nature is in charge and there is not anything we can or cannot do that she cannot counter the effects of to assure the balance of nature is maintained.

Being environmentally aware is more appropriate that being environmentally impaired (afraid to do anything because of unfounded theories).

I love the last line in the narration that NASA "...has the tools to study it."

Global Warming alarmists, meanwhile, have the "tools" to proselytize about it...

1) Here's something I'd like to see examined. If Global Warming has a large man made component, someone should be able to quantify significant differences between the Northern Hemisphere (where most of the civilized industrial world is), and the Southern Hemisphere (much less so). Atmospheric weather paaterns don't mix much across the equator.

2) What algorithms does anyone use to determine the Average Global Temperature anyway?

3) Finally, for all the talk about a small (1-2 deg. C) temperature rise creating Chaos in the future global weather events, we've already seen those temperature changes from emerging from the most recent Ice Age, so, are we living through the Chaos Weather now that would have been predicted then? Seems like normal weather to me, as I bet it will in the future, because it is a dynamic system, not steady state.

Not too exciting. The only good thing is that they were not screaming man-made global warming at the top of their lungs as "scientist" normally do. The video had little information, they suspect unusual wind patterns, at least that's original. But not once in the video did it mention ocean temperature, surely these guys track the ocean's temperature, but never once mentioned it.

I don't think these scientist are very interested in finding the answers. Of course once they do, their funding usually goes away, so really getting to the bottom of it is probably not their highest priority. If you read many scientific reports about anything at all you will quickly notice a pattern. The only thing all scientist always seem to agree on is that more study is needed. That is almost always the bottom line.... literally ... of every scientific report.

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to know if ocean temperature is increasing, the ocean ice will melt faster. According to some scientist there has been unprecedented underwater volcanic activity since 2001. These NASA guys making a video like this and never mentioning water temperature makes them seems evasive to the issue. Nevertheless it was better than the normal nonsensical screeching about pollution and CO2 and human causes and polar bears dying and oceans rising and on and on with all of that silly worn-out crap.

Next time he sends you somthing, offer to send your old freezer there to make more ice.

Or if you prefer send him copies of 50,000 to 100,000 year temperature charts (taken from core samples around the world) showing we are still within the normal temperature range of the planets history. (I should have several if you want)

While we are all jumping up and down saying, "see? see? No global warming," the left will shrug this off.

I have a close college friend whose a rabid Global Warming Advocating Enviromentalist. He sends me podcasts from NPR and links to all the global warming advocating scientists. Everytime I try to contradict their theories he always comes back with some 40-50 page study addressing it.(How they have time to do this kind of research is beyond me.)

I already know what they left will say which will be the usual bait and switch. The main point of that video is that once the ice starts melting it keeps melting and at faster rates. So we're already up the fecal creek without the proverbial paddle. Anything we can do to keep it from expanding we'll have to get on right away. Just remember they said that they can't say global warming ISN'T the cause.
