Is this the most we can expect from technology?

I think the point is that the level of technology to create this, using off-the-shelf programmable microcontrollers and desktop software, is so pedestrian here in The Future that this kind of stuff is almost trivial to make as opposed to 20 years ago.

Yeah, but this cat isn’t reacting to it.. he’s chasing a string. Get a flashlight though, and have some fun. Hell, do the flashlight trick with a 1 year old (human) and it can entertaining.
