Chris Matthews is really a detestable creep. There was the time that Michelle Malkin was invited on his show and Matthews just spent the time insulting her and acting oh so self righteous. He might have had another guest on with MM so that he could do his favorite tag team routine. Then there was the time that Matthews said the “problem with neocons (of course Matthews was really saying: “The Jews”) was that the “neocons” who Matthews blamed for causing the 2003 Iraq war, were, according to Matthews “bookworms” “who never got into street fights when they were kids”. Matthews described himself as working class kid from a tough neighborhood who constantly had to defend himself physically on the way to school. Matthews, according to his own fictional creation of himself, is one tough guy who has had his share of playground fights and always came out bloodied but victorious. So I looked up Mathews bio on google. Matthews is old enough to have volunteered for VietNam or done other real military duty. But instead, he enjoyed the Peace Corp. Just what every tough kid from the wrong side of the tracks does! LOL! Matthews is one of those Washington insiders presenting himself as a working class kid who survived one hardship after another. It must have been real tough, Chris, to work in Tip O’Neil’s office.

What campaign is Matthews on? He must be looking for a job with Hitlery as Press Secretary. Why, so he can get closer to Bill? Mr. Mathews must remember that Hitlery and Bill do not really live together-they survive off carrion, meeting only at the latest kill.

Bush had nothing to do with that Mission Accomplished sign, our good soldiers were involved with that, proud that they disposed of Saddam as was their appointed mission. I work next to a few liberals and they want defeat badly on Bush’s watch. Matthews is an example of how lying and deceit is the way to beat honor and courage. How pitiful to use the Clintons as any example of goodness. The Clintons are political thugs, from Hsu to Whitewater to Rapes to lying under oath…goes on and on. If Hillary gets in, can anyone here tell me what reputable General would serve under her assuming Wesley Clark refuses.

If you're looking to Chris Matthews and Bill Clinton for models of how to pick up girls, you're an idiot, and a lonely one at that. You'd be better off learning from someone who actually knows what he's doing. And Jon Stewart needs to have some backbone, rather than doing that wimpy "please don't hurt me!" cringe everytime he landed a shot on Matthews. Colbert would never have cringed. Then again, Colbert's pretending to be a conservative.

BTW, I don’t love or hate Machiavelli. There is merit in considering what he has to say (though I really haven’t yet). Self interest is certainly a virtue if seen as being defined more broadly than the extent of your own skin

That study that came into the news cycle a few weeks ago talked about how libs and cons see morality differently. Seen narrowly, self-interest would look like an extreme lib; but seen more broadly–i.e., to include family, community, country, etc.–it looks a lot like partiotism, loyalty, etc (this is not to diminish the dangers of jingoism).

BTW (2), obviously, the lefties at dkos, et al, claim people like these two are righties so they can try to ~~define~~ re-define the center. But usually, people eventually see through it.
