Let’s all try not to “coarsen the debate,” you hear?

Rush Limbaugh has snot on his mustache? What did I miss? Since when did Limbaugh grow a mustache?

Geraldo, It’s time to retire . . . Your insane.
and not very bright.

Pathetic. Just like this whole screeching charade of lying leftwingnut fauxtrage.

Mister I would spit on Michelle Malkin dares to say the words coarsen the debate… Oh please…

Mister I would spit on Michelle Malkin dares to say the words coarsen the debate… Oh please…

doriangrey on October 3, 2007 at 11:48 PM

I think that was the staggeringly ironic part.

rivlax on October 3, 2007 at 11:54 PM

What a loser! I’ve never been a fan of his and whenever I see him on Fox News I change the channel to some Sci Fi show. SciFi is much more believable than anything mister dumb dumb has to say…

Geraldo = irrelevant

infidel4life on October 4, 2007 at 12:04 AM

By mocking Geraldo it shows that you guys clearly hate all latinos.

True. Geraldo told me.

oopps – look at what I just did… too coarse.

juanito on October 4, 2007 at 12:06 AM

My mom always told me if you cant say anything nice don’t say anything at all.
so I have nothing to say about geraldo .

Mojack420 on October 4, 2007 at 12:25 AM

I am latino. I am from an immigrant family. An immigrant family who suffered unthinkable… sufferings, so that I could ultimately live the American dream. I am the last person on earth who would coarsen a debate. Because, you know, I’m important. I am latino and my ancestors suffered sufferings. Listen to me. LISTEN TO ME!

SilverStar830 on October 4, 2007 at 12:28 AM

What… no spittoon nearby? It’s a mystery to me how Geraldo made it through the whole segment!

RD on October 4, 2007 at 12:31 AM

RD on October 4, 2007 at 12:31 AM

The real mystery is how this still has his job.

Mojack420 on October 4, 2007 at 12:34 AM

and yet again, Geraldo boy shows how deep he keeps his head in the sand. Ignore reality and it goes away.

Rush Limbaugh has snot on his mustache? What did I miss? Since when did Limbaugh grow a mustache?

RightWinged on October 3, 2007 at 11:45 PM

No one can help me here?

BTW, I’m actually catching the segment on H&C right now and listening to the angrily yelling idiot Geraldo who revealed himself as being the most useless guest, because he’s clearly completely unaware of “phony soldiers” like MacBeth, etc. He said “why didn’t Rush just say that’s what he meant then”… Why the f*** is Geraldo on the show? Rush (and everyone who’s talked about this “controversy”) has said it repeatedly. It’s one thing to not buy that this is what Limbaugh meant, but Geraldo is so in the dark, he doesn’t even know what the back and forth has been. His best argument (in his mind) was “then how do we have 41 Senators denouncing it?” Ugh… MURDOCH, FOR THE THOUSANDTH TIME… FLUSH THIS TURD!

RightWinged on October 4, 2007 at 12:53 AM

When Geraldo is on Fox, I change the channel and usually don’t come back for the rest of the day.

T J Green on October 4, 2007 at 1:58 AM

Why does Fox keep him putting the mustache on the air?
Is it the ‘Rosie’ factor? Don’t the executives watch
daytime TV?

Geraldo is the Fox equivalent of Rosie – thus, Michelle
must be the equivalent of ‘The Donald’, and she can afford
to give Allah his iPhone.

‘Nuff said…

off topic question. Why hasn’t MM been on O’riely lately?

Tom N on October 4, 2007 at 12:48 AM

Good question. Has anyone else noticed how quiet things get here when this subject is brought up? It is very obvious that she has suddenly been removed from the ‘no spin’ zone. I certainly hope it was her decision and not caused by anybody at Fox. I am personally getting much less interested in watching the show since O’Reilly has introduced those inane things such as the ‘body language’ chick, the stupid little quiz with Steve Douchey and the blond chick and whatever it is that the Dhue chick does. Of course, the chicks ain’t bad to look at but the rest of it is crap.
Maybe someone here can bring us up to date as to why Michelle isn’t on the show any more.

OBX Pete on October 4, 2007 at 3:19 AM

By the way, if anyone missed it, O’Reilly dealt the knockout punch to anyone who thought they could excuse the behavior of Senate Dems over this Rush situation.

Did he pull out Harry Reid’s “the war is lost” comments? No. Kerry’s comments that the troops are stupid or terrorists? Durbin’s comments that they are Nazis? Murtha’s comments that they are cold blooded murderers? Nope. Nor did he pull out any of the dozens of other comments I could add to the list.

O’Reilly simply reminded us of someone he hammered a while back – William Arkin, military analyst for NBC News and Washington Post columnist.

You probably remember Arkin most from when he called the troops “mercenaries”:

http://michellemalkin.com/2007/01/31/wapo-math-troopsmercenaries/

Not that I think any honest person can misconstrue Rush’s comments, I’ll give a LOT of slack and say “it could be taken the wrong way”. Arkin’s comments were clear, and can be taken ONLY ONE WAY. It’s not an opinion about what he meant, it’s WHAT HE SAID.

So, where was Reid to come out and call Arkin “unpatriotic” to defend the troops from Arkin’s smear? Where were the 41 Dems to vote on a resolution.

I think you get the point. And it’s that Harry Reid is arguably in the top 10 pieces of s*** to ever be elected to the Senate, and he should be dragged and tossed out in to the street (and yeah, probably physically). I mean, the same can be said for most of today’s elected Dems… but he’s the leader. Plus he’s just such an obnoxious little @#%@#$%.

Coulter made a good point, though had trouble articulating it on Cavuto today (and I’m not going to have an easier time). She made the point that Rush couldn’t possibly have been attacking soldiers who are against the war, because even if he were trying to attack them, using the pejorative “phony” wouldn’t even make sense. Calling them “fake” wouldn’t be the (hypothetical) attack, that simply doesn’t even make sense.

RightWinged on October 4, 2007 at 4:15 AM

being accused of “coarsening the debate” by Geraldo is not unlike being accused of “uglying up the room” by a three-eyed pus toad.

sulla on October 4, 2007 at 5:07 AM

I told you, this guy Jerry has some serious issues with bodily fluids, and perhaps also solids. He’s no doubt had at least one on his own mustache over all the years, waking up to the young woman shrieking and excreting. Not even comical in retrospect, it makes him want to hawk up and fling one, then squat and purge the memory. He wishes the experience on those he feels most passionately about.

Well said. What a clueless blowhard. Geraldo is ranting and raving about something he knows nothing about. He clearly had not even read the transcripts, and he sounds a bit, shall we say, off his rocker.

I look forward to Rush’s comments today. In the meantime, may I suggest a little group therapy for Geraldo, Harkin, Reid and others.

Buy Danish on October 4, 2007 at 9:19 AM

Comparing what Rush says to what MoveOn says is pure ignorance.

Doug on October 4, 2007 at 1:17 AM

That won’t work because they keep inserting him into the middle of shows we do watch. The best thing to do is the instant he comes on any show, send FNC an email saying you are switching the channel and will not switch back until the show containing a Geraldo segment is over.

Connie on October 4, 2007 at 10:37 AM

The flip side of “persistent” is, I suppose, “tendentious”, or “tedious”…maybe “tiresome”. I have been described with all these adjectives at one time or another.

I mention this only because every time I see Fox News and Geraldo Rivera together I am reminded that we still have heard nothing from Hot Air or Michelle Malkin about what happened vis-a-vis The O’Reilly Factor after the “Rivera Apology”. Her absence on the Factor is noticable, as is the silence from all quarters.

I know I am being…annoying? But, will we ever hear something?

Blaise on October 4, 2007 at 11:57 AM

If Geraldo doesn’t like course and gritty,
well then he should stop using Metamucil.

Maybe we could slip ‘im some Ex-Lax. Brownies anyone?

CyberCipher on October 4, 2007 at 12:08 PM

Blaise:

There is what looks to be an unsubstantiated rumor out there that suggests there may be a link between Michelle’s recent absence from the Factor and the Rivera incident – see here. Hopefully the Hotair people can clear the air because I, for one, rather enjoyed seeing Michelle on O’Reilly!

Outlander on October 4, 2007 at 1:28 PM

Outlander on October 4, 2007 at 1:28 PM

Apparently they ain’t gonna’ “clear the air”.
It’s kind of like settling a law suit – neither side can reveal what the deal was and what it took to settle it.

A lot of people are interested in why she is no longer on the OR show so why can’t the powers that be just tell us the deal or tell us to go to O’Reilly’s web page for answers or just tell us to shut up? I, for one, will happily drop the subject if it is something we should not be asking about!

OBX Pete on October 4, 2007 at 1:45 PM

Thanks Outlander. I took a look.

I agree with OBX Pete that maybe we merit some clarification here. I can say that the segement with Ms. Powers is pretty lame now that Michelle Malkin is gone. In fact I notice myself changing channels.

Geraldo threatens to spit on MM. He has no standing to criticize the level of debate unless he mentions his conversion to civil debate before going on a tirade against others.
