She clerked for Thomas on the Court so this isn’t business, it’s personal. Her grievance has to do with Toobin going on Anderson Cooper’s show earlier this week to remark, again and again and again, upon the bristling rage Thomas allegedly feels towards everyone and everything. File that away with the claim that he takes dictation from Scalia because he can’t think for himself and that he’s sexually aggressive per Anita Hill’s deus ex machina harassment allegations at his confirmation hearing as yet another in the long line of anti-black stereotypes to which he’s been subjected. Which isn’t to suggest Toobin’s totally off the mark, mind you; after you’d been called “Uncle Thomas” for the millionth time, you’d be a little irritable, too.

You know, if Toobin wants to contemplate a Supreme Court Justice who seems, by all accounts–even by those of his law clerks–to have been an angry man, he might wish to read up about liberal Justice William Douglas…

You know how we KNOW that Clarence Thomas didn’t really sexually harass Anita Hill? It’s because he had Laura Ingraham clerking for him and she says he was a gentleman. No man is going to openly show his lust for Anita Hill when Laura Ingraham is also handy to be lecherous to. Pursuing Anita Hill over Laura Ingraham is like choosing Rex Grossman over Tom Brady.

What else is new — a liberal from CNN who hates black conservatives with a special animus, and then hilariously exposes the Big Truth About Liberals and Race, namely that he actually thinks blacks are stupid and inferior, and that they need liberals to manage their lives.

When I purchased Justice Thomas’s book I contemplated getting Toobins book also. After hearing this I am glad I did not buy it. Toobin is so naive it makes me wonder if he evens knows any black people. I think not. He has not a clue. I am anxious to get the book here, Amazon just sent me an email it has been shipped along with “Power to the People”. Good reading ahead.

Enjoyed listening to this a lot! Thanks for posting!
Ingraham’s insights into Thomas are extremely interesting, given her past and current relationship with him.

Jeff Toobin was a junior lawyer on Lawrence Walsh’s staff and he parleyed that into being a “commentator” on liberal cable networks. Had he served on Kenneth Starr’s staff, Toobin would have been barred for life from appearing as a “commenator” on liberal televison networks. But because he worked as a junior lawyer on Lawrence Walsh’s staff and Walsh’s special prosecution team was devoted to destroying the Reagan administration, Toobin was considered a hero and authentic “good guy”. In his role on the Walsh team, Toobin and his colleagues devoted themselves to trying to send Caspar Weinberger to prison (never mind that Weinberger was well into his 70s at the time), trying to destroy Oliver North and even his secretary (a 25 year old rookie secretary) and desperately spending years finding something to indict Elliot Abrams for. Walsh’s record in court was abysmal. Yet the high point for the Walsh team (and likely for Toobin as well) was when Walsh dragooned former President Reagan (well into his 80s) into Court and then crossexamined him on ancient dates and times so that they could make President Reagan (who was in the eary stages of Alzheimer’s disease) look like a fool. It was no accident that the crossexamination was taped and fed to the MSM.
And for his reward for being a Lawrence Walsh foot soldier, Toobin was given CNN.

Most people hardly knew who Thomas was, other than his official title. It’s a shame this remarkable man didn’t do more interviews. He clearly has something to say that is important.
Boy that was a tongue lashing.

I’ve had the opportunity this week to hear several long Thomas interviews, most notably by Rush (90 minutes). You’d think if he were a raving angry black man some of that would come out during the questioning.

Is there any wonder why I love Laura.
Jeff Toolbin you have just be pw3nd.

Toobin says Clarence Thomas is paradoxical.
What’s paradoxical about Toobin is, he’s never met or interviewed Justice Thomas, yet he is able to look deep into the heart and soul of this man as CNN’s “expert legal analyst”.
It’s just more of the MSM “making it up as you go” to fit their own agenda.
It’s hard not to like Justice Thomas.

I also heard Rushs interview with Justice Thomas.
It was one of the best ever Rush has done. Justice Thomas
will also be interiewed this weekend by Sean Hannity on his
Hannitys America show. He said he will give it the
entire hour.

Here is Laura’s “Power to the People” Tour when she had come to Katy (Houston).

The minute Toobin gives Justice Thomas positive praise, is the minute he’s fired from his gig at CNN.
roninacreage on October 3, 2007 at 1:05 PM
Toobin is angry that he has a ridiculous name, so it’s an open and shut case of projection.
Thank God we have Laura telling it like it is.

To quote John Stewart: “Partisan Hack!”
This guy got Pwned, He was way out of his league….

Taranto has ably taken down Anita Hill in his Best of the Web Today column at OpinionJournal, using her own op-ed to validate Justice Thomas’ opinion of her. Hill mistakes her credentials (”I graduated from Yale! I passed the o-so-difficult DC Bar!”) for competence.
Toobin tries to cite the Jill Abrahamson book as “proof” that Thomas was a harasser. I take it he hasn’t read that book, which was almost as dispassionate and objective as Mein Kampf.

I saw this live and I was pissed. Toobin obviously has an axe to grind against Thomas.
