Traffic’s collapsed. The big A’s hopped up on Vicodin. The dream of the iPhone is farther away than ever. There’s nothing left to do except scrape together the reddest meat I can find and toss it to you guys like chum off the boat.
So open that yapper. Because this meat’s so red, it’s still twitching. Click the image to watch.

Didn’t some woman do the same thing a year or so ago and get in some legal trouble?
Bad Candy on October 2, 2007 at 11:39 PM
Illegal.
Spirit of 1776 on October 2, 2007 at 11:40 PM
The only way this could have been better would have been if dude said something like “This knife killed 12 Viet Cong in defense of freedom.”
e-pirate on October 2, 2007 at 11:41 PM
As “shark attacks” like this become more common, we’ll “need a bigger boat.”

Pay day my friend, pay day… 1st of the month people have too much money, they are out spending it.

Yeah, either that or a cameo from Ted Nugent.

MOOOOOOOOOOO!
Tasty.

Isn’t chum more pink than red? ;)
Michelle on October 2, 2007 at 11:44 PM
Chuck Norris just called and said, “Not even I would mess with that guy Jim”.
Seriously, when the people who are constantly breaking the law claim they are the victims, things are going to keep getting uglier. If the government won’t enforce the law, someone will. Not saying that’s a good thing, just a likely outcome.
Drew on October 2, 2007 at 11:46 PM
Throw chum? We’re animals now?
So’s your Momma, AP ( arrogant pagan )
And the guy above is right: it is illegal to fly the flag of another nation above the American flag on US soil
Janos Hunyadi on October 2, 2007 at 11:46 PM
You make a good deckhand, AP!

Bad Candy on October 2, 2007 at 11:49 PM
I pretty much just said the same…but it seems my comment got eated.
Bad Candy on October 2, 2007 at 11:50 PM
The boss is rubbing it in.
We’ll keep the traffic going for you, Allah.
Rick on October 2, 2007 at 11:50 PM
Strangely enough, the business owner decided not to mess with the butt-kicker with the k-bar.
Good on him, though he should’ve just cut down the Mexican flag and left the American flag standing.
The amazing part was the segment afterwards, where the hispanic community was boycotting… something after immigration raids on 11 McDonald’s netted 56 illegals. That’s just over 5 per store. A few is an anomaly; 56 is a pattern.
Hollowpoint on October 2, 2007 at 11:51 PM
Oh, I know why, I made a joke about Allah’s painkillers…got medfilterown3d.
Bad Candy on October 2, 2007 at 11:52 PM
I will say, that is a badass looking knife…I wouldn’t mind having one of those, for what? Hell if I know, but its cool looking.
Bad Candy on October 2, 2007 at 11:57 PM
Does anyone remember a mob of guest worker rights’ “advocates” laying siege to a Post office Flag pole over the summer, lowering the American Flag and raising a mexican flag? Just curious
ColdBore76 on October 2, 2007 at 11:59 PM
If they prefer Mexico to the US, they should go back home. It’s simple as that, IMO.

Speaking of K-Bars, when does John Rambo premiere?
ColdBore76 on October 3, 2007 at 12:02 AM
Afterall, this is Nevada – Sen Reid’s state. What did you expect?
I am waiting for some nut to do that with a Hamas or other radical islam flag by itself. What does our laws say about that if no US flag is present?
El Guapo on October 3, 2007 at 12:03 AM
Here.
Michelle on October 3, 2007 at 12:05 AM
$50 and it’s all yours.
Did I ask what I needed an AK-47 clone for before buying one? Heck no. Or the unfired French MAS assault rifle? Or the pre-1900 Mauser? Still cool and still glad I own them, as useless as they are until the zombie invastion comes.
Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 12:09 AM
Thanks, I almost threw up reading at that again.
ColdBore76 on October 3, 2007 at 12:15 AM
Err, reading THAT again…
ColdBore76 on October 3, 2007 at 12:16 AM
Heh. That’s why Michelle deserves a raise.
Spirit of 1776 on October 3, 2007 at 12:21 AM
Good point. A MAS? That’s like a semi-auto FAMAS, right? Aren’t those kinda rare?
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:21 AM
Jim Braussard is my new choice for VP with Rudy.
Vincenzo on October 3, 2007 at 12:26 AM
Love the V. Vets, and MM. I don’t care how much AO you sucked in, you’re doing the right thing.
AZCON on October 3, 2007 at 12:27 AM
oops. I finally watched the video.
Maybe a huge misunderstanding started by the bar owner’s ignorace. But that is what happens when so many refuses to “assimilate” and learn our language and laws. It is also time for those who demand us to be sensitive to them to practice what they preach.
Even in other countries our flag is not flown higher than thiers out of respect for the host nation.
El Guapo on October 3, 2007 at 12:31 AM
Twice I have proffered a personal experience, this time in response to a brand name in the original post. Neither comment has shown up. Am I doing something wrong?
RushBaby on October 3, 2007 at 12:32 AM
FAMAS is supposed to be a good rifle, I guess just because the French never actually fire their rifles doesn’t mean they can design and build a good one…
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:32 AM
Nope, a MAS 49/56. There were a bunch on the surplus market a few years ago. Technically a battle rifle instead of an assault rifle.
Still, it’s actually a pretty accurate and compact gun. Pity that ammo is very hard to come by unless you make your own (I did) since it uses an uncommon cartridge. And true to French tradition it was unfired, with the included bayonet and cleaning kit still in it’s original packaging. I was the first to fire it even though it was some 50 years old.
Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 12:32 AM
I’m liking me some direct action.
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 12:33 AM
Rifle linky.
Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 12:33 AM
RushBaby, I’m assuming you made a joke about the v!kodeen. Blocked me too.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:33 AM
I was hoping he’d finish by saying, “I’m Jim Brosser, and I’m running for President of the United States.”
I’d vote for him. Could use a man of action. Although, and I’m not 100% sure on this one, I think the wood (or faux wood) handle is indicative of a USMC K-Bar field knife. I say that mostly because I have an identical knife given to me when I joined the Army from a retired USMC LTC. His joke was to give me a leatherneck knife just before I joined the Army. I think.

Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 12:36 AM
You would think that would be understood by anyone anywhere.
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 12:36 AM
That’s some oddball ammo, probably a good thing you reload your own. Looks like a solid rifle, kinda awkward lookin’ though.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:38 AM
God bless that Vet…
Cry Havoc!
juanito on October 3, 2007 at 12:39 AM
Its weird how high the receiver sticks out of the top of that rifle.

So that’s the key word! Then lets try this again…
Painkillers
Red Meat
Michelle the Beautiful
K-Bar knife
Ted Nugent
Chuck Norris
The American Flag rescued by a vet.
This thread has it all!
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 12:40 AM
Where the hell were the Reno cops to enforce flag laws?
Getting sick of this “optional enforcement” phenomenon with regards to immigration and US sovereignty.
Zach on October 3, 2007 at 12:41 AM
You forgot to add assault rifles to list.
terryannonline on October 3, 2007 at 12:43 AM
Call it the Vicohadeen.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:43 AM
Personally, if the vet gets arrested for removing our flag, I want to know about it!
I want to chip in for bail and legal fund!
Thank you sir, for acting like a true American!
MITX on October 3, 2007 at 12:45 AM
I have 2 of those. 3 if I include the bolt action one.
I haven’t shot the 7.5 french yet. but have shot the one that’s converted to a 308. It jams and jams. I’ll have to do a bit of tweeking to get it right.
Texyank on October 3, 2007 at 12:45 AM
Not the most authoritative source, but wiki says the MAS .308 conversions are buggy.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 12:48 AM
Movin’ kinda slow tonight.
;-)
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 12:49 AM
It’s a little odd… but it is French after all. Still, for a design that’s over 50 years old it’s not a bad rifle. The odd cartridge comes from the nationalistic urge to have a cartridge unique to their country; some other countries did the same. It’s actually a 7.62 round that’s not a lot different than 7.62 NATO (less powerful- again French).
Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 12:49 AM
Yeah. I was hoping that he was going to slash and tear the Mexican flag off the line, leaving only a tattered remnant, before hoisting the American flag right up to the top of the pole and thereby pulling the tatters of the Mexican flag through the pulley where it would reside upside down.
The way he did it was fine too, though.
FloatingRock on October 3, 2007 at 12:51 AM
Similar to an SKS, but more fugly.
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 12:53 AM
You’ve never watched “Reno 911″?
Vincenzo on October 3, 2007 at 12:54 AM
I agree. I picked these up during the bubba years to add to my collection. Only shot the one.

I can has legal auto BAR?
.
I know there’s a semi auto version of the BAR that you can get…costs about 4K I think. Really though, other than being awesome and having bragging rights, at that point, why not just go with a new Springfield Garand, same round, and really, ten pounds and eight rounds over 18-20 pounds and 20 rounds.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 1:02 AM
Whoa. Bad-Ass weapon right there.
infidel4life on October 3, 2007 at 1:06 AM
Oh, and the new Garand is only about $1350-1400…but man it would be sweet to own a BAR.
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 1:12 AM
Wow…we totally derailed this thread, sorry Allah!
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 1:13 AM
OooRaahhhh !!!
When the authorities look the other way at these problems then someone’s gotta step up.
And this bar owner didn’t know this was illegal? I call B.S. to that.
Lawrence on October 3, 2007 at 1:14 AM
No, this is just what happens when you educate the liberal way: all important things are replaced with things “sensitive”.
El Guapo on October 3, 2007 at 1:15 AM
That was pretty badass. Too bad flagpole-cutting knife guy isn’t 20 years younger and clean shaven, we’d be making bronze statues of him.

And the thread gets back on track, good job guys. G’night!
Bad Candy on October 3, 2007 at 1:17 AM

The vet will get arrested only if the owner presses charges and that will not be good for business.
Dusty on October 3, 2007 at 1:25 AM
It’s pretty believeable; I’d guess that a lot of Americans don’t.
Hollowpoint on October 3, 2007 at 1:26 AM
I didn’t know it was illegal.
It’s legal to burn the flag, but not to fly another flag higher than ours? Weird.
see-dubya on October 3, 2007 at 1:30 AM
A bit drastic, maybe?
hillbillyjim on October 3, 2007 at 1:41 AM
I can’t get the video to play. Anybody else having the same problem?
SoulGlo on October 3, 2007 at 1:48 AM
The video isn’t loading for me and I tried IE and Firefox.
Does the vet say “we’ll set aboot ye” to the bar owner? I’d really love to see and hear that.
Dave Shay on October 3, 2007 at 1:52 AM
The ACLU must be very sad that they can’t do a thing about this, in favor of the owner, no matter how ignorant he is as a U.S. citizen.

He may have been ignorant about it being illegal, but I’m certain he wasn’t ignorant about the symbolism. He knew exactly what message he was sending by putting the Mexican flag on top.
aero on October 3, 2007 at 2:11 AM
For the vet, or for the owner? :)
Entelechy on October 3, 2007 at 2:15 AM
Interestingly enough, I install and service cash registers for McDonalds (I work for a subcontractor, not McDonalds corp). McDonalds owners tend to flap their lips a lot while trying to stay awake in the middle of the night while watching us install their equipment.
They frequently admit to hiring illegals that they know have bogus documents and openly say they don’t care as long as they have some kind of documents, even obviously forged.
Heck, around here (Atlanta) most of the McDonalds “help wanted” signs are in SPANISH ONLY–”VEAMOS EMPLEADOS”–NO ENGLISH. Hmmm. Go figure.
I have personally gone into restaurants to service their equipment where NO ONE spoke English–including the manager on duty. They know enough to take orders and handle money, that’s it.
On topic–
Good for this guy. I hope more Americans will start taking offense to the degradation of our culture and blatant displays of disdain for America like this. He is a patriot, and I will be rather disappointed if the cops go after him for simply doing a job no other Americans will do.
mojojojo on October 3, 2007 at 2:16 AM

Just doing a job uninformed “Americans” won’t do…

I believe you. Therefor I will pay to help that veteran press charges or pettition to press charges against that bar owner for violating federal flag laws. Reno is only a couple hours drive for me.
Fair is only fair. Both sides broke the law, so both sides should be punished.

Hard to tell the traffic’s down by the number of comments. You had one post that exceeded 600 comments and another that topped 300 in the past couple of days–that’s pretty good for HA, isn’t it? Seems like we usually average about 50-100 comments per post. You got us pretty worked up at least twice, even in your drug-addled state.

Tomorrow, on Wednesday October 3, watch for the PROTEST scheduled for the downtown Reno Federal building, at the end of a PARADE by the usual suspects. No decision yet on what flags they’ll be carrying.
May 2006 and a few protests here since then have been uneventful, but after this red meat, ??????

Now I ask you, could the author of the following possibly be siding with the owner and not the righteous vet? And please don’t anyone think that it is other than a dark humor parody, with a purpose. Very much with a purpose. Well actually with more than one purpose.

Most of your House is in my pocket. Most all of your Senate is in my pocket. I have bought off or blackmailed almost all of them now. A bunch of pesos here, several women there, a young boy for a few of them like , a little male attention for a certain Senator from New York. Her husband still neglects her something awful. Oh my Lord, the things shewants me to do to her. It makes my skin crawl, but it is for a good cause.
A little booze spread around. Alright a whole lot of gin for a certain Senator. Ay curumba, can he ever put it down. And his son, double ay curumba. That rehab stuff sure didn’t do him any good! I’m not even sure that he went. Telling a certain other Senator that I would get him a lot of media time, he loves that so much. I have even offered him and
his poco empalma a muchacho their own 24×7 TV station. You have no chance GRINGOS.
Your Grandfathers kept you from having to learn German or Japanese or be lamp shades. But YOU ARE NOT the men or women that they were, not even close.
Once we get our amnesty, we will all come to your country. We will all have at least 10 kids and in a generation we will overwhelm and deport most of you Gringos! Some of you, if you learn Spanish real well, we might let you stay to pick our lettuce or mow our lawns or take care of OUR children in what used to be your houses.
Those who don’t learn Spanish will be deported to Alaska. That is until Al Gore’s global warming heats things up and we want Alaska too, then we will deport you all to New Orleans. It will probably all be under water by then anyway. I hope you Gringos can swim, he, he, he. My bad!!!
So give it up and LEARN SPANISH! You should probably all buy Mexican flags too and fly them in your front yard and on your pickup trucks. If you already have an American flag there it is alright if you keep it, as long as you fly it upside down and below our great Mexican flag.
Now repeat after me – I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of Mucho Grande Mexico, and to the Republic for which it use to stand, one nation under me, with everything for us, and nothing for you.
And remember Gringos,
APRENDER EL ESPANOL!!!

I find it interesting and heartening to note that the vet’s instinctive reaction, even when angry, is to protect the American flag and keep it from those who don’t respect it, rather than to punish or take revenge on the Mexican flag. He just ignores the Mexican flag like it doesn’t exist–his sole concern is for the American flag. It’s clearly more than just a symbol or a metaphor for him—as far as he’s concerned, he’s holding his beloved country in his hands, and those who disrespect it will have to fight him for it if they want it. Outstanding. Our soldiers are the best.
