A tight concise thing of beauty that was.
He’s right, they should all go straight to hell.

Please do not allow this thread to be hijacked by a clueless troll who uses this blog as a free alternative to therapy: otherwise MB4
rides again: he dithers, logic withers.

Mark Levin sure is angry!

The leftists are very obessessed and crazy about Rush. That’s why over on DailyKos, you have to scroll down 3/4 of the way to see the lone Rush item currently on the front page.

Here on HotAir, there are five posts related to Rush & “Phony soldiers” and two additional items related to MediaMatters on the front page.

What does it all mean? Who knows, time for another Guiness.

Wow. He didn’t just take the gloves off, he soaked them in gasoline, set them on fire, and shoved the ashes down the throat of the Dems.

But just then up came the big Billy Goat Gruff .

Trip, trap, trip, trap, trip, trap! went the bridge, for the billy goat was so heavy that the bridge creaked and groaned under him.

“Who’s that tramping over my bridge?” roared the troll.

“It’s I! The big Billy Goat Gruff ,” said the billy goat, who had an ugly hoarse voice of his own.

“Now I ‘m coming to gobble you up,” roared the troll.

Well, come along! I’ve got two spears,
And I’ll poke your eyeballs out at your ears;
I’ve got besides two curling-stones,
And I’ll crush you to bits, body and bones.

That was what the big billy goat said. And then he flew at the troll, and poked his eyes out with his horns, and crushed him to bits, body and bones, and tossed him out into the cascade, and after that he went up to the hillside. There the billy goats got so fat they were scarcely able to walk home again. And if the fat hasn’t fallen off them, why, they’re still fat; and so,

Unbelievable.

I only saw your first link. Your other links either rolled off the front page or I totally missed em. Either way, if you scowered that site looking to prove me wrong, well then I’m sorry for you.

I agree that Rush is totally innocent of these smear charges. That’s why he edited the tape he used to rebut the accusations. If he were guilty of what they say he said, then he would have posted an unedited clip. Right? Oh wait…

If you couldn’t tell, I think this whole brouhaha is a total complete waste of time.

It didn’t take long to find more than a couple diaries on it- they have multiple pages of them per day, where on HotAir all the day’s posts are typically on the front page.

Perhaps it is a waste of time, but our esteemed Democrats in Congress thought it important enough to address with resolutions, so I hardly think it out of line to address it here.

Yeah, that AllahPundit fella is such a raging Jesus Freak that it gets hard to handle sometimes.

And it’s shocking that a conservative website visited mostly by majority Christian commenters in a majority Christian country would be a little bit “Christo-centric”.

But, you know, thanks for making the site less “Christo-centric” by bringing up Christianity and the fact that Levin isn’t one. Way to stick it to the man! Another thread derailed by a heated and unwinnable religious debate is exactly what we need!

from an Allah link in the news

“Considering the significance associated with protecting free speech, we respectfully request that you schedule floor action on H.R. 2905 by Friday, October 12, 2007. While we may not always agree with those who are on the airwaves, as members of Congress and freedom-loving Americans, we should never back down from an opportunity to defend their rights or speak their piece.”

Under House rules, members of the minority party can force House leaders to schedule a vote on controversial legislation by obtaining 218 signatures on a discharge petition.

Democrats from conservative-leaning districts, such as Brad Ellsworth (Ind.) and Heath Shuler (N.C.), where conservative radio personalities enjoy higher visibility among voters, may face pressure at home to sign such a petition. Doing so would anger Democratic leaders because it would allow Republicans to seize control of the House agenda. At least 17 Democrats must sign a discharge petition to force a vote on the legislation.

“I don’t think freedom is a partisan issue,” said Pence, who emphasized his efforts to build bipartisan support for the legislation.

e-pirate on October 2, 2007 at 11:47 PM

Did you read the whole transcript including the edited portion? Doesn’t sound like you did. The section that was edited out was a tangential discussion between Rush and the caller about WMDs and had nothing to do with the phony soldier discussion. Imagine that, Rush edited the clip for the sake of clarity and brevity. Tell us all how the edited portion, having been removed, altered the conversation about the phony soldiers.

The whole ‘Rush edited the transcript’ argument is now a strawman, because the libs have nothing else. They realize what Rush was realy talking about, so they are switching the focus on his supposed “unethical” practice to make it seem like he is hiding something. The libs are pretty pathetic.

If two weeks ago, I had posted here that the Senate Democratic leadership and most of its members would issue a letter condemning Rush Limbaugh for NOT supporting the US Military….

you would first think its a TYPO, and the NOT was incorrect, and that he is being condemned for supporting the troops who are after all murderous, torturing thugs according to SENATOR Dick Durbin…

and upon being told it was not a typo,

you would then have laughed yourself into an apoplectic coma.

right?

Always Right on October 3, 2007 at 6:49 AM

AND GOD BLESS SENATOR JON KYL, the first GOP lawmaker to show some freakin’ GUTS:

Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl responded to the charge, becoming the first Republican lawmaker to support the radio host publicly.

“It’s troubling that some Democrats have taken a comment by Rush Limbaugh about “phony soldiers” totally out of context in order to find some moral equivalence to get them off the hook for refusing to condemn the MoveOn.org ‘Petraeus’ ad,” he said. “The only thing phony about this is the contrived controversy.”

Beautiful! Every Republican in congress should be saying the same thing!!! Where are the Republicans??!! This is not that complicated!! Liars and thieves are attempting to use the power of the United States Senate to slander, silence and if they could, destroy a private citizen for speaking the truth! What is so hard about stating the obvious, “He did not say what the Democrats are saying he said!!!” Can not one Republican find the courage to come to the floor of the Senate and speak strongly in support of a man who has spent the past 20 years upholding and defending American values, principles and our troops????!!! How many times has Rush defended these same Republicans??? How much courage does this take??? Is this just too great for them??!! Too difficult a battle to defend and innocent man?? Is there not even a boy among them, or a small girl, perhaps, that could stand up and utter a few words of support!!!??? How much thievery, distortions and lies,, how many treasonous acts and words, how much corruption and filth on the part of the Democrats will one day finally be enough for our great Republicans in this congress to stand up and say “Enough!”???!!! God help this nation!!

SicSemperTyrannus on October 3, 2007 at 8:10 AM

This is so going to backfire on the Democrats. People out there that are not political junkies wonder why their Democratic Congressmen would waste time over something a radio talk show host said.

I know the Democrats had hoped to equate this with the MoveOn.org ad, but the difference is there was no doubt what the Petraeus ad was about. It was clear and no one on their side denied it. But Rush absolutely denies what they are accusing him of and has the transcript to prove it.

It’s beyond sad and ridiculous and shows how malicious, yet stupid the Democratic leaders have beome.

And it’s not about Rush, O’Reilly, or anyone else so much as it’s about our liberty and free speech. If we don’t take this fight seriously, it’s going to be lost within this generation.

petefrt on October 3, 2007 at 8:52 AM

let it be known to all that read this post, I can’t stand Chris Matthews, however last night I actually witnessed him take some Jackhole Democrat to task for being a hypocrite vis a vis; no outrage regarding the move on ad attacking Gen. Petreus.
