I checked in on the Nutroots Latest heartthrob John Cole to see his reaction to the story. While i guess that I shouldn't have been surprised that he swallowed the leftist cant whole, I had somehow convinced myself that he was merely spouting off nonsense because he hated Bush. My bad.

And the Limbaugh controversy continues on, and the thing I don’t get is why they are denying he called them phony soldiers.

Some people are beyond parody.

Is there not one single Republican in all of the United States Congress that can stand up and state the fact that RUSH DID NOT SAY WHAT THE SENATE IS TRYING TO CONDEMN HIM FOR!!!???

Much like the forged National Guard memos, we have to address what we thought he said, because what he actually said doesn't serve our purpose.

There's so much to be offended about, but it really bugs me that Media Matters et al can so shamelessly misconstrue plain English and call me the mind-numbed robot. Seriously, have any of these people actually heard the whole quote in context? Don't they have an intern who could dig up an MP3?

So where is the Republican letter stating they are ashamed of the Dems in the senate for signing this...not for being agains Rush, but for being so STUPID as to not know what he actually said.
And the letter should go on stating that they are concerned for the bills that are presented because apparently the Dems are to STUPID to understand simple english.
They should ask the Dems if the bills should be rewritten in way that they could understand, like maybe sixth grade level?

[...] “Before I even got started, though [in new radio gig], I encountered Sen. Harry Reid. Steps ahead of the others in understanding talk radio’s impact, he visited the station regularly to tape on-air commentaries. Listeners would complain the Democrat was getting free airtime without Republican responses, but the feature continued. It wasn’t a case of media bias, as ours was a rare news operation almost free of known liberals. Rather, it was a testament to Reid’s power in the state: Don’t mess with me if you know what’s good for you. My first crime apparently was not to have him as a regular guest on my show, lobbing softball questions Larry King-style, as had been done previously. It was like refusing to pay protection money to local goons in a tough neighborhood.” Read article. Here’s a link to the current debate. [...]

This is getting to be so disgusting! I am mad! I am just so mad! And I don't even know who I should be more mad at!! the stinking Marxist lying Dems or the stinking cowards called Republicans! Why even bother to take the time listening for something to distort! Why not just completely make up the false news! It's all the same anyway, right??!!!! Is there not one single Republican in all of the United States Congress that can stand up and state the fact that RUSH DID NOT SAY WHAT THE SENATE IS TRYING TO CONDEMN HIM FOR!!!??? Is there not one single Republican somewhere that can state the obvious??? In the capital basement?? In an airport bathroom, perhaps?? Is this what the so called Republican revolution has come to???? Cowards hiding in their offices afraid of being called names by worthless men and women!
I am just so disgusted! So,, if our glorious Senate can condemn Rush,, I think I will write a letter to condemn them! Why not? I can have fun if I want to!!

Dear Democrat Marxist Senators and other losers in our glorious congress,,
At the time I am writing this letter,, real men and women,, unlike yourself, are fighting in Iraq, like the heroes they are. I know many have died,, but they have killed or wounded thousands of terrorists! Our soldiers have always fought with great courage and they will always deserve our gratitude and respect! That is why your years of characterizations of troops that fight and support the war as losers, terrorizers of women and children and at least in one case, cold blood murderers, is an outrage!
Therefore, I condemn you!
It is also an outrage that you would twist and take out of context the remarks of Rush Limbaugh, a private citizen and a truly great American, unlike yourselves, and attempt to slander and silence him! He did not say what you said he said! You know he didn't say what you said he said! That makes it even more of an outrage! Therefore, I condemn you again!
So, I, an American citizen, call on you to repudiate yourselves, if that is possible! Apologize to Rush Limbaugh, apologize to our soldiers and apologize to the American people for crying out loud!

If you look at the list of who signed the letter to clear channel, a large majority of them were on Norman Hsu's Xmas list.

What? No putting it on the record with a vote? With 41 Senators signing the letter, I bet that they threatened to filibuster their own letter of condemnation rather than have it not pass with a simple majority. How pathetic!

Ah, so THOSE are the 10 democrats that can read.

I knew they had to be there somewhere.

The good news is the rise of the alternative media - in 1987, in a similar case, only the show's listeners would know what really happened.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people too stupid to spend five minutes checking, apparently including 41 Senators.

The thought of how much those moronicles get paid, of our money, to wander around in a fog like that...

Yep, the Dhimmicraps can’t get anything done in congress, so they’ve got to creat non-issues to get everyone worked up about and put the Repubs on the defensive.

They have been taking the nutrrots money for nothing, the Dem Pres candidates said last week- IN IRAQ TILL 2013 -- they have to give them something.

That is why Rush Limbaugh’s recent characterization of troops who oppose the war as “phony soldiers” is such an outrage.

The Dims are outraged because they didn't do it first, even though what Rush actually said was taken out of context, it's the sound of it they're jealous of.
