A computer simulation based on available stats and data run multiple times to take the average result fits currently accepted scientific methods for accurately predicting possible outcomes. The Pentagon does this with war plans. NASA does this with spacecraft launches. Businesses do this with new product releases. The fact is that predictions based on computer simulations have proven to be very accurate on the whole.

Don’t ignore stats just because you don’t personally like them. Ignoring stats and polls based on blind ideology or fanatic devotion will result in a Hillary Clinton presidency.

When Jerry Jones took over the Cowboys he insisted his quarterbacks stay in the pocket. As a result, quarterbacks White and Aikeman got career-ending concussions from the constant pounding they were getting because they could not move.

I have always thought that what the Cowboys required was a mobile QB. I think Romo has proven me right.

Anyway, since they beat the 49ers, they’re 1 – 1 against the NFC West.

The Seahawks can exact a small measure of revenge this week in Pittsburg. Steelers will be 0-3 against the NFC West.

It should be a good game. The Steelers have been, until yesterday, playing better than I expected this year. But when they were beaten physically by the Cardinals …

I say give the rest of the Packers offense time to grow and I’m sure they’ll turn out into an even better team (and considering this season Brett Favre should stay around for at least another two years – or a Superbowl win).

My brother is like that. I have to have something to measure it by. Like the last year someone played and work backwards, etc. Or the first year we played at Texas Stadium. I can tell you the major events, like SB wins, losses, who played (mostly) etc., but not everything. My brother can tell you by year just about anything you want to know about the Cowboys and the team they played. He can do the same with baseball, hockey and Nascar. I find that just weird. ::grin::

My wife is the same way. It’s scary sometimes cause you can just say “1977 team” and she will name just about the entire roster. It’s almost freaky.
