I’m mainly posting this for the Cowboy haters in the crowd.
It was the second quarter Sunday, Cowboys and Rams tied 7-7, Dallas had the ball at about midfield on 3rd and 3. Center Andre Gurode deep snapped the ball several feet over the head of Dallas QB Tony Romo. And Romo turned what should have been a disastrous play into a first down. He went on to finish the drive with a 15-yard run up the middle to score. The Romo Miracle is the third play in the NFL’s highlight reel. Click on the image to head over to see it.
Update: There’s a request down in comments to post Favre’s 421st TD pass. Eh. It’s a great record, and I admire Favre, but it’s not that exciting a play. I’d much rather post video of the Eagles looking terrible and getting thrashed by the Giants on national TV. 12 sacks? Seriously? I can’t get enough of that.

All kidding aside folks……in the spirit of harmony, tolerance and inclusion…
How bout’ them Cowboys!

I was thinking the same thing.
Still, to give Brett Favre much deserved credit, they basically have a one-dimensional offense: pass, pass, and pass.

D is for Dynasty…once again.

Spoken like a true Cowboy fan. Nice to know there are some other real fans out there and not all the “fair weather” varity. I do get a little tired of the “I hate Jerry Jones so I don’t back the cowboys” drivle.
Get over it people, he owns the team, Tom Landry (god bless is soul) is gone. Roger has not thrown a ball in almost 30 years.

Bryan, you’re a DC guy…. come back bro!

Northeast liberals don’t understand pride. They only understand the vast, foaming, disoriented rabble.

My family has a running joke that they will have to plan funerals around a Cowboy game to make sure I’m there. Even my own. ::grin::

Personally I prefer the old Pace Picate sauce commercial, “Get a rope”
conservnut on October 1, 2007 at 3:20 PM
My wife is the same way. It’s scary sometimes cause you can just say “1977 team” and she will name just about the entire roster. It’s almost freaky.

My brother is like that. I have to have something to measure it by. Like the last year someone played and work backwards, etc. Or the first year we played at Texas Stadium. I can tell you the major events, like SB wins, losses, who played (mostly) etc., but not everything. My brother can tell you by year just about anything you want to know about the Cowboys and the team they played. He can do the same with baseball, hockey and Nascar. I find that just weird. ::grin::

Them’s fightin’ words John. I’m no DC guy, and the only thing for me to “come back” to is Texas BBQ and football.

Great protection, wide open field. Romo is playing great.
Bears suck. (I’m sorry, did I say that out loud?)

How about the Packers’ punter making the running play of the day, which is sad for the Pack’s running game.
When the punter has the longest run of the day, theres something wrong… But if 4-0 is wrong, I don’t wanna be right!

Yeah, I agree with ya. Brett Favre is really good.
If I’m the owner of a NFL team, and my team is down 7-0 with no timeouts left, 40 seconds on the clock remaining, and deep in my own territory, then the QBs I want on my team are…..
Peyton Manning or Brett Favre

Sorry, I’m not taking the bait. I’ll just refer you to any objective fan watching that game to say what happened.
The Seahawks can exact a small measure of revenge this week in Pittsburg. Steelers will be 0-3 against the NFC West.
Mallard T. Drake on October 1, 2007 at 4:09 PM
It’s true that I’m not objective. I’m a Steelers fan (although I moved away from there long ago).
It should be a good game. The Steelers have been, until yesterday, playing better than I expected this year. But when they were beaten physically by the Cardinals …
Anyway, since they beat the 49ers, they’re 1 – 1 against the NFC West.
jaime on October 1, 2007 at 4:20 PM
I hated the Cowboys for years. No team more infamous for crack addicts and assaults, and they pulled some real lowbrow crap with the Pack back in ‘97-98.
However, Romo was on FIRE. Pack needs to go after him next year after Favre is eligible for social security.
MadisonConservative on October 1, 2007 at 4:34 PM
Kansas St beating Texas ;)
Lawrence on October 1, 2007 at 4:50 PM
Yeah, you’re right. The Seahawks are also 1-1 against the NFC West. They also thrashed the 49ers and lost to Arizona on a dumb busted play. The 49ers were the chic pick to win this year! hahahahahahahahaha
Mallard T. Drake on October 1, 2007 at 4:54 PM
Romo is in the tradition of Roger Staubach who’s nickname was Roger The Dodger.
When Jerry Jones took over the Cowboys he insisted his quarterbacks stay in the pocket. As a result, quarterbacks White and Aikeman got career-ending concussions from the constant pounding they were getting because they could not move.
I have always thought that what the Cowboys required was a mobile QB. I think Romo has proven me right.
pocomoco on October 1, 2007 at 4:59 PM
Now there is spirit folks!
Kudos Lawrence!

A computer simulation based on available stats and data run multiple times to take the average result fits currently accepted scientific methods for accurately predicting possible outcomes. The Pentagon does this with war plans. NASA does this with spacecraft launches. Businesses do this with new product releases. The fact is that predictions based on computer simulations have proven to be very accurate on the whole.
Don’t ignore stats just because you don’t personally like them. Ignoring stats and polls based on blind ideology or fanatic devotion will result in a Hillary Clinton presidency.
