Quote of the Day

posted at 10:23 pm on September 28, 2007 by Bryan

“Maybe the world is spherical after all. It certainly continues to turn on the same – often peculiar – axis. Less than two weeks after Israel’s alleged raid, the Post’s Herb Keinon pointed out in a front-page story that the UN’s nuclear watchdog elected Syria as deputy chairman of its General Conference.”

Unmitigated Nonsense.

Insanity is the sane reaction……

Let them move the UN to Brussels, I think we are owed about 16 acres of office building/multiuse property in New York City by the rest of the world.

Neo on September 28, 2007 at 11:35 PM

And two days later voted to initiate a IAEA investigation into Israel’s nuclear program.

Tear down the tower and use the steel to finish the fence.
We can paint it blue just because.

I long for a President who will lead the charge of all NATO members who are also UN members to stop paying thier dues and withdraw their membership. And kick them out of the US. Let them move to Iran, since they seem to be the leading bribers now that Saddam is gone anyway.

And them charge them in international court for corruption (misuse of funds) and for crimes against humanity in Africa.

But something has happened and around the globe everyday people living everyday lives seem to be a bit safer as a result.

Note to the pale face commentator, MB4 and et al….
This is what happens when you continue to resist those who would kill us.
Unlike your rhetorical, non-factual, denigrating statements that start here at 9:27 PM…. and end at 10:10 PM (thank God!)

:shakeinghead:
UN needs to be somewhere else, its like having an enemy in our camp for goodness sakes.

Her last line in the piece needs to be tossed into the next Dem’s debate-abation.

The United Abominations never ceases to dumbfound me.

Move the UN to Baghdad.

baldilocks on September 29, 2007 at 1:09 AM

Move the UN to Baghdad.

Nah, move it to Burma. Then when the petty figure heads want to visit — they have to fight their way in.

mesablue on September 29, 2007 at 1:39 AM

I would expect nothing less of the UN.Once again, the inmates are running the asylum. They need to go away.Turn the building into something that’s actually more useful than the present residents…..like maybe a killer skateboard park.It would be a step up……..

It’s time to get that disgusting gaggle freeloaders off the prime real estate they occupy in New York City. A five acre spread on the Gobi would be a great place for them . . . with utilities, of course.

rplat on September 29, 2007 at 8:57 AM

How much would a gigantic dunce cap cost to place on top of the UN?

profitsbeard on September 29, 2007 at 10:04 AM

Not only is the UN not going anywhere, it’s in the midst of a multi-BILLION dollar renovation. Also, our glib mayor, Bloomberg, thinks too many restaurants will go out of business if the UN swells leave town.

Let’s just pray that that cesspool was riddled with microphones by the US when first constructed, and that we have the inside scoop on what’s being said. The opportunity for wiretapping and surveillance of bad guys is perhaps one reason to keep it here.

As they say, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

JiangxiDad on September 29, 2007 at 10:26 AM

It would be nice and a great relief to move the UN to France or Belgium to rid us of the trash that it is. As said, it just won’t happen for all the above reasons. If we could just stop paying for it would be a start.

countywolf on September 29, 2007 at 11:17 AM

Withdrawing the US from the UN would be a bad idea, withdrawing the UN from the US would be a good idea.
