"These Hispanic activists have internalized the hard left’s tactic of obtaining via courts what they can’t win at the ballot box."

Interesting.

In order to be able to sue they have to have "standing." Only those who have standing in this case would be illegal aliens. Nobody else is affected. Further, those who file suit must be identified, or at least known to their lawyers. The minute the suite is filed, obtain their names and addresses and deport them, or imprison their ACLU laywers for contempt if they do not identify their clients so that they can be deported. Lawyers are "officers of the court" and have a duty to NOT perpetrate a fraud upon the court or file frivolous law suits. Hiding the identity of a plaintiff is not "attorney client privilege" - it is a fraud upon the court or an attempt to file a frivolous law suit.

If any of these "activists" are themselves illegal, kick their butts out of the country as well.

Further, Bryan wrote: "they’re coming at this from so many angles in so many places suggests a nationally coordinated strategy, at least to me."

You're correct. Soros is funding it. See the IDB editorial series on Soros for details. Moveon (Soro's political arm) and the ACLU is coordinating it with certain Democrats in volved as well.

The sooner the US Attorneys wake up and discover that Soros is a clear and present danger to this country and begin prosecuting him, the sooner we can deport this asshole.

According to the IBD, Soros has spent $5 BILLION of his own money on this mischief. He supports a world government and wants the USA taken down, again, according to the IBD.

What I think is that he has an agenda beyond ruining the Bush presidency. With the organization he has built, the ones he has taken over by virtue of funding them, and by his nascent control of the Democratic Party, WATCH HIM ORCHISTRATE REPEAL OF THE NATURAL BORN PRESIDENT provision of the Constitution. Then watch him buy the Presidency.

This man, if you bother to look, almost singlehandedly bankrupted the Bank of England in 1992. He is VERY dangerous to our liberty and way of life.

He is a principle financial backer of the "million mom march" (AKA "The Brady Campaign," AKA Handgun Control, Inc.) Without his money, they'd have folded long ago.

He was convicted of insider trading in a French bank takeover, making him a felon.

Former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert implies that a good portion of his income (which is masked by foreign transactions) comes from drug money.

Regardless of the source of his money, he is very powerful and very dangerous. His "philanthropy" is designed to move a powerful, leftwing agenda.

HB1804 in OK passed with an 83-14 vote, huge outpouring from everyone in the state, Gov. Henry (D), had no choice but to sign the bill, the vote in both houses was veto proof.

Finally state government doing what its supposed to do.

The NYTimes is abetting as it does best. It is making what few victories these illegal immigration activists have had into propaganda victories:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/26/nyregion/26riverside.html?_r=1&ref=todayspaper&oref=slogin

It is inconceivable that the NYT would write this article in any way that did not suggest all right thinking people agree the illegal immigration activists.

Conservatives need their own legal activists to combat the ACLU’s bully squads.

Mike Honcho on September 27, 2007 at 3:26 PM

There is it's called the American Center for Law and Justice ACLJ

http://www.aclj.org/

They are fighting the ACLU on many many more cases every year and winning. It's making the ACLU have to spend a lot more money on lawsuits they didn't have to spend when people fearing high legal costs and feeling like they had no where to go just rolled over.

If you think the cause is rightious...

wouldn't it be a civil rights violation to only punish American citizens when they break the laws but grant illegals a free pass every time they break the law.

How about we encourage people to sue their local, state, and federal gov'ts when an illegal has killed, raped, or stolen property from a legal citizen? I've no doubt they'll be rejected, but the stink involved will guarantee the media will be all over it. If it makes no difference whether you're legal or illegal those rules against lawsuits should not hold either. If illegals can file suits that directly counter federal law, why not? At some point, these issues will have to come before the Supreme Court for ruling. Don't forget to close your wallet to those asking for your vote.

SoulGlo, very well stated!

It's a clear movement toward a one-world-citizenry, no borders, no parties, just socialism, PC and love, love, love, so long as the rest of us pay for it. And, the rest of us is the middle class.

Supervisor Antonovich should take a cue from San Diego and bill Washington for the amount. It is one thing if the federal government is actually trying to do its job but it has made a point of not doing its Constitutional duty.
The backlash against the pro-illegal movement has already started, albeit slowly and against great odds. I hope it gets powerful enough to sway Congress before it is too late.

San Diego did some auditing what it costs to file and defend these and other cases which involve illegals. Antonovich Says L.A. County Taxpayers Shoulder The Burden

09-21-2007 5:05 AM

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich is out with his monthly calculations on just what illegal immigration costs L.A. County residents. According to Antonovich's figures, illegal aliens and their families collected more than 35-million-dollars in welfare and food stamp allocations in the month of July. He says illegals collected nearly 20-million-dollars in welfare assistance for July, 2007 and an additional 15-million-dollars in monthly food stamps for an estimated annual cost of 440-million-dollars. Antonovich said illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on County taxpayers.

The failure to significantly reform the court-system under Bush may prove disastrous should we suffer more losses to the Democrats near term. At such a point as we may in the future, elect a government finally committed to defending our sovereignty, we are sure to find a court-system even more activist and stacked against the preservation of our nation hood than it is today.

It's against the law to enforce the law now. . . soooo

I guess all the police are breaking the law, but if you arrest them, you too would be breaking the law.

It's good to be an American these days. All the logic within the public discourse moves society along quite nicely.

I wonder how well recieved a group of non-hispanic Americans in Mexico holding up signs saying “We are Mexico” would be.

And ... demanding "services" and citizenship. Yeah, that would go over like a lead ballon. But hey, they don't have the ACLU there trying to destroy their country either.

Go ahead get it into the courts, then every judge that sides with the ACLU needs to be exposed and constantly hounded until he/she is replaced or resigns. It's time to take a hard stand against judges that legislate from the bench and defy the will of the people. Judges are nothing more than graduates from some law school . . . they are not all seeing god like social arbitrators and they should not be allowed to function as such. Enough!

The only vid they showed was the old caucasian fella grabbing the demonstrator by the neck and the Irving police hauling him in.

A report given by City Attorney Ginny Gennaro stated no services could be denied, and it could open the city to lawsuits. (emphasis added)

Wow. Just wow.
