Goose Creek update: An admission

posted at 2:20 pm on September 27, 2007 by Bryan

One of the pair admits to making the bomb-making instructional video:

In a 12-minute video posted on YouTube, an Egyptian man wearing a white shirt, khaki pants and rubber gloves explains in Arabic how to turn a toy boat into a bomb.

His name is Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, and last month he was arrested in Goose Creek after authorities found four PVC pipes containing a mixture of potassium nitrate, kitty litter and sugar in his car’s trunk.

Mohamed told FBI agents he made the video to teach “those persons in Arabic countries to defend themselves against the infidels invading their countries,” according to federal court documents released late Tuesday.

Specifically, he told the FBI “the technology which he demonstrated in the tape was to be used against those who fought for the United States.”

The two were also taped chatting in Arabic after their arrest. It was an interesting conversation.

In the back of the patrol car on the way to jail on charges of possession of an explosive device, the two whispered in their native Arabic while a hidden recorder taped their conversation, according to court documents:

“Did you tell them there is something in them?” Mohamed asked, an apparent reference to the PVC pipes.

“Water,” Megahed said.

“Water! Right? The black water is in the Pepsi.”

A few seconds pass in silence. Mohamed speaks again.

“Did you tell them about the benzene (gasoline)?”

“I have nothing to do with it. I do the fireworks and so… so… so… that is it.”

But the pipes weren’t fireworks.

An examination by the FBI’s explosives unit found the materials in the PVC pipes fit the legal definition of an “explosive.”

Nope, nothing to see here, move along.

Just two ordinary citizens preparing for an early 4th of July celebration. Fireworks, duh.

There are no terrorists in the U.S. It is your conservative imagination.

I repeat…no terrorists in the U.S., and if there were,it is our fault…but there are none.

So, we finally hear what we suspected all along, has the MSM had this on? At all?

4shoes on September 27, 2007 at 2:50 PM

Clearly these freedom fighters who are working to stand against Bush and his illegal occupation were the innocent victims of racial profiling and the oppressive facist policies of the neocon regime.

I know the MSM doesn’t cover this because they believe it’s good for Bush if there is evidence of terror anywhere. Also, because they no longer represent American interests, and because they can’t locate the morality in the Islam-West struggle.

But there is another reason too. I learned it from my wife, who can no longer listen to me telling her that there is a terrorism danger here (we’re in NY). She’s afraid and doesn’t want to hear about it anymore. She just wants to be safe and have a “normal” life. I think she’s in denial.

Some large portion of people in the msm are afraid and in denial too. They can’t report it because they can’t face it.

The black water is in the Pepsi

My conspiracy gland is twitching. Could they have sabotaged some pepsi bottles with a poison/toxin…’black water’ = poison perhaps? You’d never suspect a thing if it was mixed in with a dark liquid like pepsi…until it was too late.

Ochlan on September 27, 2007 at 2:58 PM

Moham and Megahed are the Islamic terrorist version of Beavis and Butt-Head.

Capp on September 27, 2007 at 2:58 PM

Black water could be a dissolved nitro compound or perhaps a solvent base. It would be used to hide the nitro compounds in plain sight. Salt Peter and sugar are used to make smoke bombs. Mixed with Kitty litter it could make an incendiary device with a hot and slow burn.

Definitely not enough to make a real explosive device that can cause damage unless they wanted to burn ensure something burned and smoked. Satl Peter and Sugar produces 600 times more smoke per volume.

Kitty litter has been know to set off false alarms in dirty bomb scanners because of it’s natural release of gamma rays especially when it’s burned.

I bet some lawyer is going to argue that taping their conversation amounts to ‘illegal search and seizure’.

This is the mentality of jihadists/dictators etc. they say one thing in English and another in Arabic. Arafat made this technique famous. I just wish our media outlets would report on this from time to time. But they know that the media will only report on things that are said in English.

I hope these guys go to jail forever.

JammieWearingFool, It’s another bad CAIR day.

Killgore Trout on September 27, 2007 at 3:18 PM

I disagree. They will simply label these two as lunkheads, who couldn’t figure out which end is up. They will then say that they do not represent Islam.

And of course, the leftards (and drive bys) will simply say, “good enough for me”

rightside on September 27, 2007 at 3:43 PM

Wouldn’t you think that with all the ingenuity these people have when it comes to ways to kill Americans, that they can support themselves instead of us having to send them billions of dollars every year?

Billions for offense, not a friggin’ dime to try and buy their affection. Go back to your mud hut and drink black Pepsi.

Hening on September 27, 2007 at 3:45 PM

I fail to see their ingenuity. Most of the tactics and weapons used come from the IRA and Russia. What they are doing is very amateurish. They have not used a single weapon they have invented themselves. The culture based on Islam is a leeching society that survives on conquering, garnering sympathies, or thievery.
