The German bomb plot: Syrian connection

posted at 12:17 pm on September 26, 2007 by Bryan

You can’t have a bomb without a fuse, and the fuses for the massive German plot that was broken up earlier this month came from Syria:

FUSES intended for use in a suspected plot to bomb US installations in Germany came from Syria through Turkey, the German interior minister said yesterday.

Wolfgang Schaeuble said the three suspects had received an order from Pakistan to act by mid-September.

German security officials were also monitoring three men who had trained in a Pakistan camp for militants, but lacked the evidence to arrest them, Mr Schaeuble said.

The threat from the al-Qaeda-linked Islamic Jihad Union, which claimed responsibility for the plot, has not been eliminated, he said. US installations remained a potential target.

So three graduates of al Qaeda U are still on the loose. And unsurprisingly, Syria is their Silk Road, a conduit for terrorists entering Iraq and for terror gear to enter Europe.

So we’re ready to hit 2700 sites in Iran. Unilaterally, how many can we hit in Syria? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

There seems to be such a swarm of activity, both by western intelligence, covert military and carriers of the flaming sword of the religion of peace. It seems that pressures are starting to build, not to a flash point; but long, deliberate and hot wars by proxy.

But بشار الأسد promised Nancy Pelosi they wouldn’t attack anything until after November ’08.

I wonder if those big “Bin Laden” Market bets (the billions bet on the Market declining significantly by the end of the month) were tied to this plot.

Germany had better close its borders

I wonder if Pelosi’s or Kuchinich’s fingerprints were on them? You know diplomatic puches and all.

we’re going to see some real dogfights in the terrorist/antiterrorist world next spring and summer. maybe summer and fall.

if it appears as though the democrats are winning the terrorists will lay low but if it appears as though a militarily strong republican is leading they will make eevery attempt to show the republicans as losing and that the democrat idea of “negotiation” is the best way to resolve the situation.

naturally the administration will push for elevated numbers of arrests, military victories and other interesting things for the media exposure.

Huh? I might put it a little differently then “close its borders.” I smell a troll here.

I think it may be more accurate to state that Germany along with all other Western nations better damn well be keeping track and full control over who is trying to enter their country and who exactly is within the borders right now as we speak. That might just be a good idea.

???? Even if we (we becasue I am active duty) do lie, the media wont ever cover it. Good news does not sell.

There is so much crap going on over there that the msm doesnt know about because they wont leave the green zone and venture into the the majority of areas that are now siding against Sadr and al Qaeda (thanks to us finally being allowed to work with local sheiks), and most we wont tell them because it would be like telling a suspect “hey! we are watching you right this moment hoping you will lead us to accomplices and eventually your boss!”

Not very smart. Trust me, everything intersting is classified for a reason. Revealing it will ruin leads (both long and shrot term). Which congress and most people have no long term patience.

I bet if we catch UBL, it will be 2nd page news. But if we rough him up by accident, it will be a human rights issue – front page.
