Why does Columbia University refuse to allow ROTC on campus because they “discriminate” against homosexuals while letting the leader of a country that still hangs homosexuals speak?

Some of the Moonbat message boards are calling this comparing apples and oranges. AmaDEMijad is only speaking once, whereas the ROTC wants to set up permanent shop.

Yeah, it doesn’t make any sense to me, either, but that’s how they’re rationalizing this.

Why? Because of the merciless grilling they’re sure he will receive from the Colombia students.

Columbia U. is the ultimate hypocritical ivy league school: It does not permit the ROTC program on its campus because of the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” policy towards homosexuals. But Ahmadinejad is a militant leader who kills homosexuals….

Free speech rights pertain to the government not abridging anyone’s free speech. Columbia is not required or obligated to provide a platform for IAmAWhackJob. They have the freedom to do so. But that should not be confused with an obligation to do so, except maybe in their own twisted thinking.

Yes. We didn’t want him to be welcomed, but since the school’s not changing its mind on that, the public should at least be allowed to challenge and show their discontent.

Moral relavance? What an idiotic way of looking at things. They sponsered a gov. that raped children, then murdered them in front of the parents, raped women, killed women, killed dissidents, destroyed thousands with bio chemicals, let the parents watch as their children were ripped apart by dogs just to gain information. And this during “peace”.
