Bush is a disgrace. He tried his best to give our country away with that crap amnesty bill. Now, he finds nothing wrong with letting a terrorist that he KNOWS is killing our troops, roam free in America…

As I read the scathing comments from Bollinger (whom I have been reaming), I see that he had bigger stones on this than Bush.

Condi called Iran the greatest state sponsor of terrorism, and then sat by with her thumb up her *ss while he waltzed into Morningside.

1) move the protests a few blocks uptown, effectively creating a road block with a wider radius.

2) it is up to the NYPD. they may even have to go up against the secret service.

Unlikely as neither organization were organized enough to plan for this likelihood.

Having the UN in NYC just makes the first step in this policy easier. Grab all the terrorists and commies t the UN, announce the new policy, then bring in the Spandau ballet company. It’s well past time for serious action.

A little creativity and aggressiveness goes a long way in these things.

This is a golden opportunity for them to take the mantle of anti-Islamist crusader while scoring points off Bush.

Not at all. To do that would be to admit that Iran is associated with terrorism which would in turn be an admission that

1. there is a problem with terrorists that is beyond Bin Laden.
2. that terrorism wouldn’t just disappear if we withdrew from Iraq.
3. that there is such a thing as Islamism / Caliphascism.
4. that Iran is not a fine, upstanding nation trying to live in peace with the rest of the world.
5. that something (terrorism from Iran) is not Bush’s fault.
6. that some problem isn’t America’s fault.
7. that it is reasonable to hold anti-Western leaders to account for their actions.

None of that can be conceded, so it’s an non-starter for the left.

Not good enough? How about the fact that a federal district judge slapped Iran with a $2.65 billion judgment three weeks ago stemming from the 1983 Marine barracks bombing? The president at the time was the current supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. If they want a visa, let them pay.

How about the fact that many of the Americans taken in the 1979 embassy hijacking have identified Ahmedinejad as being one of the hijackers, and that he was the most violent one, often calling for the hostages to be tortured or worse?

Nowhere will you find a more pithy expression of the impotence and tone-deafness of the administration on this than Condi Rice — who, as head of the State Department, could have denied him a visa

“This is a place of high learning and if the president (of Columbia) thinks it’s a good idea to have the leader from Iran come and talk to the students as an educational experience, I guess it’s OK with me,” Bush told FOX News in an interview. “The problem is Ahmadinejad uses these platforms to advance his agenda, which I suspect in this case … He doesn’t want America to know his true intentions.”

I think we can give limited visas and restrict movement.

Someday our State Department is going to have to actually stand up for OUR interests but as long as we have a non-ending stream of gutless fools in there, that time will never come.
