Good morning! Breakfast is now being served in the dining car. On the menu this a.m.: red meat.
Update: Strange, strange bedfellows.

That’s a real Mom.

Re: Vedder…that’s what happens to moonbats. They’re always angry.

Good morning to you too, AP!
Sounds like you’re in a better mood this morning than all of us were last night. I’m guessing that it’s the blowback that has energized you–certainly is working for me.
Glad to see MM get some clean air time to smack down Mother Superior without interruption.
IrishEi on September 20, 2007 at 8:54 AM
Off topic but this looks like a good headline Allah.

Knocking down the “Flying Moonbat.”
Nice way to start the AM.

Allah, are you a vegetarian? I’m just curious, because you seem to have a fascination with red meat(or you’re like me and just cant get enough of the stuff). :)
bucktowndusty on September 20, 2007 at 9:16 AM
Fox and Friends also showed the Jack Murtha encounter with Jason a little bit before Michelle came on.

Lioness.

Nutroots headline:
“Michelle Malkin says mothers should be violent!”
SouthernDem on September 20, 2007 at 9:18 AM
Just wait unitl she turms 15, Veder. You precious little darling will turn into a raging ball of spitting hormones and blame you for everything that she percieves to be wrong in her life. Bet on it.

I saw MM this morning and loved her attitude.
Damn straight there’s a motherly violent killer instinct…you hardly have to look far in the natural world to witness that.
Since 9/11, the number of women/mothers purchasing firearms (hanguns mostly, apparently) and getting carry permits has risen appreciably. That’s what I like to see…
When I first introduced my wife to hanguns, she destroyed the groin area of a silhouette target with .40 slugs…now her aim has progressed upwards to destroy everything else of life-giving value…I almost feel sorry for any bad guy that messes with her.
Almost. Actually…not at all…

One. Hot. Mama.

Michelle:
As usual and exceptional commentary based on truth, justice, and the American way.
You one of us (I am a male) who view being called a “Mother” a compliment, because it means I have made a difference and caused someone or group to really think.
MSGTAS on September 20, 2007 at 9:42 AM
That’s the first time I’ve seen MM in a GOOD mood on TV in a while. She seemed extra chipper in this clip. . . good to see.

Not necessarily. I have two girls, one 16 one 18 and they have never done this. It isn’t luck they turned out that way either.
Buford on September 20, 2007 at 10:01 AM
That is just the perfect descriptions of the two kinds of moms.
Rightwingsparkle on September 20, 2007 at 10:03 AM
My mom is a good person and is very hostile towards jihadists and commie nihilists. I’m proud of her.

Sally either did not see this or rejected it…
allie on September 20, 2007 at 10:04 AM
Sally is right, mothers get along so good together. Not!

I completely agree with Michelle. I’m a definite lion when it comes to my kids. Just last night I told off a kid for calling my daughter the B word, (I went to his house to talk to his parents, but guess what…they weren’t home) and told him next time she’s going to beat the crap out of him.
StephC on September 20, 2007 at 10:14 AM
I was asked the other day by our church youth pastor (a new father) how my wife and I did such a good job raising two sons. That was a tough one because we aren’t finished yet! But I told him you basically have to know when to be tough and when to be soft. That initial response was vague but my detailed answer was similar to what Michelle said and involved both parents. The result? Our oldest son is at the Air Force Academy and he points to his mother for her determination in surviving the killing fields of S.E. Asia and standing against wrong as a large part of his motivation to serve his country. I know its not always so cut and dried but in our case it is.
uchoosier on September 20, 2007 at 10:16 AM
Mother Lion (Michelle) ?
Or Lyin’ Mother (Fields) ?
No contest.
profitsbeard on September 20, 2007 at 10:43 AM
As a man, let me just say that the lioness aspect in a woman’s personality is extremely attractive.

Ditto, Buford. My 17 year old is a pleasure to be around and has been for years. In fact, that change occurred right about the time that I started spending a lot of time with her, instead of working all day, coming home, cooking dinner and parking in front of the tube. YMMV…
In fact, one of our favorite things to do is spend a couple of hours at the range. Not only am I more violent since I became a mother, I’m making sure my daughter also has the ability to kick the crap out of someone and if necessary kill them.
Laura on September 20, 2007 at 11:28 AM
Wasn’t the basic storyline to all of the Terminator movies a mother protecting her child by any means necessary? I don’t recall Hollywood trying to downplay that protrayal then. Seems like that part even provided some umph to the gritty, dark, tough anti-hero wife/mother/woman roles for a while.
El Cazador on September 20, 2007 at 11:28 AM
I generally don’t knock stupid people for making stupid statements. There are just too many of them.
I do, however, like to compliment intelligent people who make intelligent statements. There aren’t so many of them.
Thanks, Michelle; that was a very thoughtful article on the strength and weakness of Motherhood.
tgillian on September 20, 2007 at 11:30 AM
Michelle: You’re fantastic.
CP on September 20, 2007 at 11:30 AM
As an aside I like how Fox edited the phrase correctly. By #$%@ing the bad word, not the good word. Like how when someone says a-hole on TV during certain hours (or atleast they used to) but when they did, networks would bleep the hole not the a.

Michelle is the lions roar! Great job as usual. Now, if we could get moms like Michelle elected to congress, we could get some things done (under budget).
On-my-soap-box on September 20, 2007 at 1:11 PM
I remember the Moms ferocity mine used with a frying pan once when my brother was threatened violence.
It was the ‘ponng’ that brought the situation back to civility.
Precious memories.

Poor Sally hasn’t had an original thought since she took off the nun’s habit, oh so many years ago. I thought she was going to suffer a complete meltdown. If at any time I allow myself to get so out of control that I behave anywhere close to that, I give my family permission to cart me off for observation. Since it was a special occasion, perhaps she was off her meds?
Michelle, your comments were priceless! Looked like you enjoyed every minute of it too…….

Great job Michelle! Talk about your “Purpose Driven Life”, there she is ladies and gentlemen.
Ditto.

Watching this, two things popped into my mind. I’ve never relly thought about this before…… is MM married? And Have I ever seen a picture of she and her husband?
Ernest on September 21, 2007 at 9:56 AM
Strong Moms (and Dads) will protect their children, not teach them sheepism.
I, for one, was pleased my significant other brought me to the range to learn shooting a pistol.
