New Vent: Runaround Hsu

posted at 3:09 pm on September 20, 2007 by Allahpundit

With apologies to Dion, Hot Air’s Ventilators take on the Democrats’ prolific fundraiser and confessed Ponzi schemer, Norman Hsu. The fugitive from justice who hid in plain sight for years, sidled up to a who’s who in the Donk party, funneled donations through straw donors while he ran a Ponzi scheme using bogus corporations will be in the news for a while. The Ventilators will be right here on the story, and hopefully on key.

Runaround Hsu

Here’s my story, it’s sad but true
It’s about a guy that I once knew
He gave me cash and ran around
Donating to every Democrat in town.

Here’s my story, sad but true
It’s about a guy named Hsu
He gave me money but it wasn’t clean
Turned out he’d raised it in a Ponzi scheme

Hsu funneled money through that postman, Paw
And several corporations made of straw
Now listen people what I’m telling you
A-keep away from-a Runaround Hsu

Ah, he likes to throw his cash around
He’ll give to Democrats and then skip town
Now people let me put you wise
Hsu is a felon and he tells his lies
Here’s the moral and the story from a guy who knows
Hsu’s cash is dirty so out it goes
Ask any fool that he ever knew, they’ll say
Keep away from-a Runaround Hsu

Now I know why AllahP wants an iPhone, he doesn’t have as much fun as you guys have.

BTW; Is Hsu the tip of the iceberg?

Kini on September 20, 2007 at 3:23 PM

Great! Liked it better than:

Wake up, little Hsuzie, Wake Up
A Toy Named Hsu
Peggy Hsu
Hsuzie Q
O Hsuzannah

I’ll stop now.

Is it OK if I record this on the flip side of my hit song, “Hillary is a Bitch”?

1sttofight on September 20, 2007 at 3:47 PM

Heh heh heh Love it Bryan…with a little work from a good audio engineer your voice could be made to sound really good (not that its bad, just needs a little reverb and a little tone sculpting). Your timing and rhythm are great.

doriangrey on September 20, 2007 at 3:48 PM

Ha Bryan, you’re the bomb.

Spirit of 1776 on September 20, 2007 at 3:49 PM

He likes to pass lots of dirty money around
He’ll give you cash but he may let you down
Now people let me put you wise
Hsu gives money to other guys
Here’s the moral and the story from the gal who knows
I fell in love with his money and my love still grows
Ask any fool that he ever knew, they’ll say
Keep away from-a Runaround Hsu

Do you mean to say that recording the whole thing with my video camera in the hallway while I play the karaoke file on my computer isn’t the high-tech way to do it?

Darn.

Bryan on September 20, 2007 at 3:53 PM

Is there anyway I can get the audio for this I want to make Runaround Hsu: The dance.

terryannonline on September 20, 2007 at 3:59 PM

Is it OK if I record this on the flip side of my hit song, “Hillary is a Bitch”?

Is this a parody of Elton John’s “The Bitch Is Back”?

♪Guv-mint health care, as a matter of fact♪

Bigfoot on September 20, 2007 at 3:59 PM

Bryan, I am SO impressed. That’s not an easy song to sing and you totally pulled it off. Too bad they can’t mic you while you’re drumming.

Bryan on September 20, 2007 at 4:05 PM

Ha ha ha, no its not, there’s nothing wrong with your voice bro. Just a few little tweaks and maybe a better microphone with a P-shield. Otherwise it sounds great…I’m pretty sure one of the guys who posts here is a sound engineer, sound1 I think, he could probably tell you exactly what to do.

Bryan,
You’re a brilliant writer and a courageous singer. Meaning no disrespect I’m imagining Paul Shanklin… but in who’s voice?

lol great jobs folks and I don’t care what anyone says Bryan your singing isn’t that bad.

Bryan and Michelle – I loved it!!

The short people and I (the little granddaughters) danced around and sang along.

Yet another vent..awesome on so many levels at once. Truly, thank you. I needed a smile today.

austinnelly on September 20, 2007 at 11:26 PM

Right now this has over 1300 views on YouTube

The GOP needs to buy the rights or have them donated and put it up during the election as an advertisement, or maybe some 527 pac can do the deed.

Now if everyone could hammer it on YouTube like a googlebomb attack to get it to the top of the most watched list to spread the word.

CommentGuy on September 20, 2007 at 11:44 PM

That was pretty good Brian.

That’s a hard song, obviously meant for a tenor. Admirable effort.

Hawkins1701 on September 20, 2007 at 11:55 PM

Sorry…..Bryan.

It’s the thought that counts, right?

Hawkins1701 on September 20, 2007 at 11:56 PM

Hey Ventilators, stop making fun of Democrats. Democrats are well-intentioned, concerned citizens for peace and equality. Let them break the law if they want – have you forgotten the pregnant chad precedent? – and go after the only people who can ever be convicted of corruption, Republicans.

I find it very interesting that J ERIC Elliff and his firm, MORRISON & FOERSTER LLP, are donors to John Kerry, Howard Dean, and the DNC. Elliff is Hsu’s lawyer.

J ERIC Elliff

Michael Connell

Edwin Hatch

I’m not done looking yet. I’ve been wondering how Hsu chose Elliff and how he was paying for his services.

Connie on September 21, 2007 at 10:35 PM

Hey, just had a great song idea if Hsu makes bail again (and you can expand into a different genre)

Hsu’s out for summer (Cooper’s Schools out for Summer

Eh? Pretty cool? Or not. Sigh.

austinnelly on September 21, 2007 at 11:29 PM

Great diddy Michelle, you have your own Shanklin group in the making. That is a compliment, and hope it is taken as such, because no matter who (Hu) gets the word out there we know we (oui’) offend someone that deserves it.

MSGTAS on September 22, 2007 at 12:24 AM

Wow! Another great hit from….THE VENTILATORS

Don’t forget to copyright your stuff, Bryan and Michelle.
