A simple peaceful assembly of law abiding citizens bringing along their guns could cause this visit to cease in a New York minute ... though it is an assembly of peaceful law abiding citizens, his safety could not be guaranteed. Dictators, oligarchies, and monarchies don't like the comman man armed ...

heh. ANyway ... I get to travel there next week and I will be working right next to ground zero. Being a law abiding citizen, I wouldn't be able to stand with ya'll with a firearm in the socialist state of New York, but ... if he bends over to place a wreath, or some other POS memorabilia ...
President George W. Bush is single-handedly destroying the Republican Party, and we feed right into his hand.

We are absolutely guaranteed a President Hillary Clinton in 2008. Get used to it. And we'll be hosting Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il, Bashar al-Assad, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Ground Zero as they give a champagne toast to the erecting of a plaque dedicated to bringing "attention to the battles for freedom through the ages" and where the U.S. takes responsibility for all the world's problems.

Bolton was one of Bush's most brilliant appointments and it's a travesty that the Dems would not permit his appointment to stand.

I quoted the NY Sun article to show the facts of the case as they stand now. I do not set the rules.

A lot of people like Bolton and Newt are saying that we should further restrict his travel beyond the usual 25 mile radius rule. I do not know what the law is in that respect as far as visa restrictions, but we can are are using other methods to restrict his travel.

We denied him the right to police protection at Ground Zero for security reasons - the same should apply to his other requests, and these decisions are the responsibility of Mayor Bloomberg and those who serve under him.

My point to Drew was merely that he is incorrect to say that it is a visa violation to go to Ground Zero, and that he contradicted himself in his comments since he first said we shouldn't have issued a visa at all, and then said something entirely different.

Ahmadinijead's visit has sparked a furor, and we have responded with appropriate outrage over his request to visit Ground Zero, and the shocking invitation from Columbia University.

Now there is a news scandal - The New York Times Editorial board is going to take him to lunch!

We benefit from this controversy as these are issues we can use to separate ourselves from liberal democrats and I believe that the American people are going to side with us, not them. I can't wait to hear what Hillary has to say about the invitation to go to lunch with the Times.

This will end up being much better for us than if we had broken with all precedent and denied him access to the U.N. in the first place.

A suggestion way back at the top has it right: let the citizens pack all avenues and peaceably resist any attempt by the authorities to disperse the crowd. Allow no vehicular movement, for the duration of his visit, anywhere near Ground Zero. Stand as One.

What John Bolton says is correct, but I still don’t see what Bush can do to stop him from going to Ground Zero and Bolton offers no suggestions

Bush can say: "Don't go there", a phrase he uses quite often
He has to say it do Ahmadinejad, not Bolton, of course

But, if you had read the article you would have seen that he is permitted to travel within a 25 mile radius of Columbus Circle. Going to Ground Zero would not be a “visa violation”.

The visa was issued by the US government, not the UN. Visas can be changed or rescinded at any time by the US, not the UN.

What we never gave up was the right to limit their travel outside of Turtle Bay and wherever their hotel happens to be. [The Iranians] will try to raise a fuss about that. I’m sure the visit was nothing but propaganda. - Bolton

Man I like Bolton more and more. He would be my candidate for president. It is not that he has the biggest balls in politics, it may be he possesses the only set of intact originals

What John Bolton says is correct, but I still don’t see what Bush can do to stop him from going to Ground Zero and Bolton offers no suggestions. Buy Danish

I believe Bolton offered a suggestion in his Turtle Bay comment. He spoke more in the parlance of citizen then RNC so perhaps that threw you off

Truthfully, your comments were more like Doriengrey's who is just so proud of an email he sent Mayor Bloomberg. And if you don't want people to respond to you, you may want to stop leaving comments at a public blog.

Drew on September 20, 2007 at 5:01 PM

Jeez, you can't even keep your own argument straight.

First you go after me for noting something that was reported in the NY SUN and was a point of fact, not opinion, namely that the restrictions under the Immigration and Nationality Act have never been applied to a head of state.

Your response? There's a first time for everything.

But two sentences later you say this:

Memo to the dipshits at State…no one is talking about blocking his entry to the UN, just the area around Ground Zero.

You see, the problem is that the quote from the NY Sun article is about blocking his entry into the country in the first place. That would mean no UN, no Ground Zero, no Columbia, no nothing.

Then you say, deport him immediately for violating the terms of his visa.

But, if you had read the article you would have seen that he is permitted to travel within a 25 mile radius of Columbus Circle. Going to Ground Zero would not be a "visa violation".

It would be an outrage, and it is not going to happen.

Everyone can stop rioting against the RNC now too.

Going to Ground Zero would not be a “visa violation”.

It would be an outrage, and it is not going to happen.

Everyone can stop rioting against the RNC now too.

Buy Danish on September 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM
But the restrictions under the Immigration and Nationality Act have never been applied to a head of state.

A madman whose government is currently supplying the means to kill our troops as you read this has never tried to go to Ground Zero. There's a first time for everything.

“We are the host here. Just because we don’t like somebody, we can’t refuse them entry to the United Nations,” the State Department official said.

Memo to the dipshits at State...no one is talking about blocking his entry to the UN, just the area around Ground Zero.

What John Bolton says is correct, but I still don’t see what Bush can do to stop him from going to Ground Zero and Bolton offers no suggestions.

Then I will...deport him immediately for violating the terms of his visa.

Buy Danish on September 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM

Do yourself a favor, don't respond to any of my comments. It embarrasses me that someone so stupid tries to understand what I write. If I was writing to you I would start off with...see mitt run, see mitt run from being a man, see mitt help friends, mitt owes friends. Get it?

I was speaking metaphorically, you know, kind of like the secret papers I have of the secret testimony of Mitt regarding his sons that you want to buy.

...Want to be President? Then show up at Ground Zero and publicly beat the living crap out of ImaDoggoneNutjob.

Better yet, use a taser. Bring a camera crew. And start measuring the oval office drapes when you get done.

Professor Blather on September 19, 2007 at 4:19 PM

However PB's idea is even better than mine. And I do abscribe to it.

As I posted before, it is like showing Hitler General Mills ovens during WWII. Hitler would admire the efficiency of the ovens, just like Imabiggerjerkthanu would admire the efficiency of his friends handywork.

This Jew hater (which to you would means he hates the American Indians also) doesn't need to be walking around anywhere on earth...alive.

The Iranians took American hostages for 444 days, they
started this war.And in the process created an Islamic

So does this guy have Diplo-immunity? Isn't he the head of state of a hostile power at war with us (of course we're not at war with them)? Can't someone perform a citizens arrest on him?

If he's gonna have his photo-op at least get the Paris/OJ press conference crasher there to break it up.
