Video: Matthews, Conason blame Bush, Rove, Iraq, Fox for the moonbat taser incident

It’s all here except Halliburton, oddly enough, and as usual David Shuster’s nasal, melodramatic segment intro is the comic highlight. There’s nothing I can say to prepare you for it, except maybe this: of the four people who appear, Medea Benjamin is the least hysterical.

Note: the clip has been edited for brevity dissent-crushing.

Update: Ladies and gentlemen, the comic stylings of Mr. Andrew Meyer.

Update: Matthews was on a roll tonight.

What a pathetic bunch of blame America first losers.

doriangrey on September 18, 2007 at 8:37 PM

I’ve been waiting for Bush to be blamed. Didn’t have to wait long.

Haven’t seen the dour Conason in some time. One of the more miserable human beings to walk the earth.

JammieWearingFool on September 18, 2007 at 8:39 PM

I am stunned it took this long to find the real culprit.

JayHaw Phrenzie on September 18, 2007 at 8:43 PM

Simply pathetic the lot of them.

bbz123 on September 18, 2007 at 8:44 PM

Is it just me or does David Shuster sound like a surfer pothead? Duuuuuude.

dave_lantos on September 18, 2007 at 8:47 PM

Allahpundit Update: Ladies and gentlemen, the comic stylings of Mr. Andrew Meyer.

You are a cruel cruel man AP…

doriangrey on September 18, 2007 at 8:47 PM

I don’t think it’s very nice to put videos up of people with disabilities. BDS is a very crippling ailment and those afflicted with it need less attention given to them if they wish to rid of mental disorder. Attention is one of the ways the disease sustains itself.

Matthews, a leftist who is severely infected with BDS, needs some intervention if he is ever going to recover. Otherwise, we’re just going to see more of the same.

Weebork on September 18, 2007 at 8:49 PM

Democracy at gunpoint? Our enemies don’t even need the guns, there are plenty of pathetic losers willing to give it away for free.

You get escorted out + resist = cuffs

you resist cuffs = you get taken down

you continue to resist = you get warned about the Taser

you ignore the warining + continue to resist + lash out at the officers = THE TASER and high pitched oweeees

Not rocket science people

dvldog1142 on September 18, 2007 at 8:49 PM

Not one adult in the whole panel willing to say that spankings are necessary sometimes. Even college aged brats need to know there are consequences for acting uncivil.

bbz123 on September 18, 2007 at 8:51 PM

Only liberals could turn one spoiled brat’s misbehavior into a major constitutional case.

infidel4life on September 18, 2007 at 9:03 PM

Did he just suggest that American soldiers are breaking into homes in Iraq and shooting people as insurgents at random as a matter of strategy to spread democracy!? Is he on crack? It has been awhile since I was stateside or seen MSNBC, I didn’t realize it was this bad despite the Olberman videos I have seen on youtube, here etc.

saus on September 18, 2007 at 9:04 PM

‘American troops breaking into peoples homes at gun point…’………I can only dream Chirs, only dream.

Limerick on September 18, 2007 at 9:08 PM

Yup, saus, its that bad. Plus they still cannot grasp that their childish rantings are allowed to flourish despite the “fascist” state. They are truly deranged/lying tools.

bbz123 on September 18, 2007 at 9:09 PM

Man! That was one of the funniest clips I’ve ever seen! I laughed so hard I was crying. The Meyer kid video.. not so much.

GoodBoy on September 18, 2007 at 9:14 PM

there are consequences for acting uncivil.

I wish they could arrest and taser people for saying ‘death to America’ (inciting riots), I wish they could arrest and taser people for burning the American flag (inciting riots).

Does anyone here NOW think that had the police not done ANYTHING that there would have been an issue? This is a story BECAUSE OF THE POLICE. Not because of this guy.

Acting uncivil is not against the law. This guy will win a lawsuit because the police here should have done nothing. It’s sort of like when the referees become active participants in the outcome of the game when the play of the players is supposed to decide it.

The kid was a spoiled brat and there is no defense for how he acted. But the police in this case were also instigators in this event. They should have cut his mic and he would have sat down to listen to his hero.

WHY DID THEY LET HIM ASK THE QUESTION, BUT NOT EXPECT HIM TO WANT TO HEAR THE ANSWER?

UF will get sued. The police breaking the law and assaulting this kid was the best thing that ever happened to him.

ThackerAgency on September 18, 2007 at 9:17 PM

Matthews was on more than a roll…think medication…

What the @#%& is he thinking? Democracy at gunpoint has come here? And that guy was tasered because he resisted arrest! People who watch the president are Stepford Wives???

Chris Matthews makes me sick. Literally. Dare I say he’s lower than Olby.

JetBoy on September 18, 2007 at 9:18 PM

However, the media making this a global event is ridiculous. It is a case of police misreading a situation and overusing their ‘authoritah’. It was mostly like Cartman saying ‘respect mah athoritah’ than an attempt to ‘protect and serve’.

ThackerAgency on September 18, 2007 at 9:19 PM

of the four people who appear, Medea Benjamin is the least hysterical.

Admit it, you felt a tremor in the Force when you wrote that line, didn’t you? As if there was something fundamentally wrong with the universe itself?

I haven’t seen that much mindless hysteria since, well, some parts of the last Andrew Meyer thread.

ReubenJCogburn on September 18, 2007 at 9:20 PM

How is it crushing dissent when you keep the weirdos out of your campaigning?

I am so sure when they see the pinko commie losers they will start kissing donkey tail…

DavidM on September 18, 2007 at 9:21 PM

…or some parts of this one.

ReubenJCogburn on September 18, 2007 at 9:24 PM

The cops didn’t seem too good or very professional. Weren’t some of the cops, like the one who tasered him women? Could the caliber of the cops have had something to do with affirmative action that democrats love so much???

MB4 on September 18, 2007 at 9:28 PM

Trumanville,ya know Chris thats funny, but when i hear Joe
saying”looked like they were TORTURING that kid” I almost
LMAO.

People watching President Bush speech are what again,
Stepford Wifes,Golfing Republicans,so Chris,you unabashed
Liberal whats your message again.

Here’s the line that is so sickenig from the left.

“America is on trial all the time in the eyes of the world
now because of the errors of this Administration”.

The absolute nerve, the gall, you mean to tell me after 8 years of the Bush Administration—-it’s Bush’s fault.

You’ve got to be kidding,Liberal media day in and day out
have worked overtime hand over fist to ruin President Bush.
Did it occur to them that bashing your President,is bashing their own counrty. The Liberal Media has done more damage to
Americas prestige than anyone can imagine .To top it all off, they have the B!lls to blame of course anybody and all ,but themselves!

And if you haven’t noticed in the video, after the America’s on trial crap, the libs are in the process of political damage control of turning the tables, the spin is no liberals, moonbats, and truthers aren’t the crazy ones ,h!ll no,the worlds upside down,it’s Republicans that are out of touch.
they blame the Republicans

canopfor on September 18, 2007 at 9:29 PM

You have to admit- Bush, Rove and Fox have some kind of reach, don’t they?

drjohn on September 18, 2007 at 9:32 PM

The logic of “Clinton was impeached because of a blowjob” is the same as “tasered because he asked a tough question.” Apparently liberals see the world as some blurry whole that can’t be broken down into smaller steps of cause and effect. I guess that’s why when things are broken down for them into little Ws and Ms they are so excited.

pedestrian on September 18, 2007 at 9:36 PM

The second video, should say “Truth is in the eye of the
LIBERAL”.

canopfor on September 18, 2007 at 9:37 PM

I stopped at the claim that Fox didn’t run the dummycrat response to Bush’s speech. I must have been imagining it. The fact that some affiliates didn’t is one thing, but to claim Fox News didn’t is a flat out lie. Of, course, although I stopped the video there, I’ll just assume everything else in it was a lie too. After all, it is the left.

Kowboy on September 18, 2007 at 9:39 PM

During the Clinton administration,I’m not sure but didn’t
the Gores or Clinton send the FBI over to some Republicans house because they didn’t like what he said.

canopfor on September 18, 2007 at 9:41 PM

Quick question to Matthews…what in the world does “sex” have to do with the latest O.J. story?

It’s in the eyes of the beerholder.

In OJ’s case, it the part of the anatomy that probably thinks things out before acting on them.

Kini on September 18, 2007 at 9:47 PM

The only thing this incident proves is that the campus police are poorly trained; they lost control of the situation and then overreacted with too much violence, like at UCLA a few months ago. That, and Matthews is a wankstick; Conason owes him at least a reach-around for calling him a “great reporter”.

Travis Bickle on September 18, 2007 at 9:52 PM

I can only imagine if the kid wound up hurting somebody they would all be screaming he should have been tasered….why didn’t they stop him!

I’m David Schuster for Haaardbaaaaaaul! God Schuster grates on every last nerve.

186k on September 18, 2007 at 9:52 PM

Everything is Bush’s fault. Why did they waste a whole segment on that?

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on September 18, 2007 at 10:10 PM

I’m speechless. Well, I’m laughing hysterically so I’m not totally speechless, but you know what I mean. Surely this is a parody and not a real news program.

Quick question to Matthews…what in the world does “sex” have to do with the latest O.J. story?

And what pray tell does ethnicity have to do with it? Even Jesse and Al will have a tough time arguing this angle.

Buy Danish on September 18, 2007 at 10:13 PM

there are no grownups in charge at MSNBC.

TexasDan on September 18, 2007 at 10:15 PM

Everything is Pres. Bush’s fault – gotcha. I’m blaming him for the hole in my ceiling of my apartment (neighbors having leaking pipes in their bathroom).

Andrew Meyer’s video – creepy.

TexasDan on September 18, 2007 at 10:15 PM

Nope ! ! They filtered out to Fox. Both of them

Texyank on September 18, 2007 at 10:33 PM

Everything is Bush’s fault. Why did they waste a whole segment on that?

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on September 18, 2007 at 10:10 PM

Now lets not forget that “magnificent bastard” Rove, after all he’s the real puppet master!

Liberty or Death on September 18, 2007 at 10:42 PM

1. Anyone notice how this was framed as though this kid was tasered for criticizing Bush? That’s the inference I got from Shuster’s Sheister’s segment.

2. Isn’t Rupert Murdoch in the tank for Hillary?

3. Why did the police waste using the taser on this brat? I’m sure there must have been a pinko there or something.

4. The real message here is…don’t ask the Dems about the skull and bones…

5. Does Sheister remind anyone of the Swedish Chef from the muppets?

Right Tracker on September 18, 2007 at 10:58 PM

Still taking bets on whether or not a pool rack can be shoved in Shuster’s mouth without a single ball coming out of his nose, or other orifice.

As disturbing as it is to watch him, even after his speech therapy, it is more disturbing to listen to this rectal-baby. Leopold and Foer’s love- child, with a Matthews vouch.

More proof that journalism is not about facts, (or did Rove get frog marched recently, Mr. wavy-wavy with the indictment Shuster) but asinine opinions from overpriveleged dolts.

Uncle Pinky on September 18, 2007 at 11:08 PM

I question the timing! A distraction from Hsu? Hmmmm.

Seriously though, I think we should check out this kid’s bank records and see if some Truther group or lib group paid and put this kid up to it. Remember that kid a few years ago rolling his video camera as he tried to strong arm a congressman or something? Can’t remember the exact incident, because these are becoming so regular, but I’m sure someone knows what I’m talking about. Anyway, didn’t we learn that that kid (in the other incident) was working for Kos or something? Wish I could remember exactly who was involved to look it up, I just remember it was like in the lobby of a hotel or something. There may have been spitting involved too, I’m not sure.

RightWinged on September 18, 2007 at 11:09 PM

I can’t believe Medea Benjamin, a wacked-out, hysterical, unabashed communist is being invited to speak on a television show. I don’t care if it is Chris Matthews. Of course, nothing about her background will be mentioned, and Code Pink will be legitimized in the process. I guess that’s what front groups are for.

Not a good way to end my night.

Hannibal Smith on September 18, 2007 at 11:59 PM

That moron (Matthews) claims our troops are breaking down doors and forcing people at gunpoint in to democracy. Is it me or is the world on crack that this asshole is allowed to make these statements and go unchallenged? I know, I know… it’s MSNBC, but for crying out loud. Somebody punch this jerk’s lights out… PLEASE!

As for Shuster’s lead in… I don’t think that boy could be any more retarded.

D2Boston on September 19, 2007 at 12:22 AM

My What-the-*&%$-o-meter just went off the scale. I wish this was an image board, I would’ve posted every face palm pic I have.

liquidflorian on September 19, 2007 at 12:37 AM

I’m an ardent passionate supporter of free speech, but rudeness is not free speech. Rude people like the boy tasered restrict other people’s free speech. I’m sure that there were other people in Kerry’s audience who had the bad taste to want to ask Kerry a question.

thuja on September 19, 2007 at 5:45 AM

Is Matthews for real??? Does he really believe what he spews???

What a P.O.S.!

Golfer_75093 on September 19, 2007 at 8:16 AM

That wasn’t beer.

Jaibones on September 19, 2007 at 9:15 AM

SO what Matthews is saying is, a super-liberal college with a super-liberal speaker being attacked by a moonbat-level liberal who was detained by what is surely an AA-backed liberal police force is a willing shill for the neocon right.

Whatever you say Chris.

BKennedy on September 19, 2007 at 10:13 AM

Here’s an idea for a Chris Matthews T-Shirt -

Please Tase Me, Bro!

He needs some electroshock therapy…..Who knows? It could change his entire outlook. At the very least it may force him to speak slower. (and he may discover a secret passion for Ann Coulter.

dbdiva on September 19, 2007 at 11:27 AM

“Tasering someone because they’ve got a big mouth would get me in trouble.”

If only…if only.
