Video: “Celebrity” Truther rallies the troops at Ground Zero

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity? Two-time Tony Award winner, reigning Best Actress in a Musical, former cast member of SNL, played the evil governor in “Black Sheep” with Spade and Farley, etc etc etc. D-list, maybe? I’m as eager to see her perform as I am Manilow.

She revealed herself as a Truther earlier this year on — where else? — “The View,” professing her love for the tool whom Danny Bonaduce nearly punched in the face when he asked him one too many questions. This isn’t a coming out party, then, but it is a special occasion: Ground Zero, on 9/11, side by side with Ron Paul’s fat idiot radio buddy, Alex Jones.

She really gets into it, huh?

Since I didn’t give a crap about her before, I won’t start now.

KelliD on September 18, 2007 at 4:22 PM

I’ve developed a pretty nasty conundrum for truthers that I’m waiting to try out. If anyone has a truther buddy, feel free to try this out and see what your results are:

http://www.lorien1973.com/osama-bin-laden-hero-of-911/

It’s a little bit of a gotcha but probably quite effective.

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity?

Who?

“Start believing your eyes and start believing your ears and start believing your heart.

I’ve searched through all my strength of materials and related engineering texts and can’t seem to find the equations that use “heart”.

I’d like to know what “laws of mathematics” and “laws of engineering” she’s referencing.

12thman on September 18, 2007 at 4:29 PM

Who?

eanax on September 18, 2007 at 4:25 PM

Exactly…..

Believe what you have seen with your own eyes?

No problem.

“Start thinking about what your eyes saw on 9/11. Start believing what your eyes saw on 9/11.”

…. except for the part when two passenger jets, in plain view, crashed into the towers at 600 MPH. You can ignore that. Please ignore that little tidbit of information. It you don’t, it undermines our rock solid “inside job” theory.

WhoTF is Christine Ebersole?

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity?

Who ?

Maxx on September 18, 2007 at 4:33 PM

She’s a Broadway celeb, sure. She’s not a has-been like Barry. She gets prominent work and is awarded for it. And her Broadway appearences aren’t flops either. Sure her film career is rather, uh, limited but on the stage she seems to be doing well enough. Luckily for her Trooferism is not a problem, sadly to say, even in NYC.

In a just society such people would be shamed into hiding, ostracized by decent folk, forced to the slimmest of margins along with Klan members, panty sniffers, and guys whom eat nutmeg to get high.

lorien1973, Can’t wait for the first opportunity to try your recommendation on a truther.

Who?

eanax on September 18, 2007 at 4:25 PM

Yeah, me too, but I’m not really one to gage this sort of thing on anyway.

Esthier on September 18, 2007 at 4:38 PM

Christine Ebersole. I don’t know who the h3ll she is, either.
I’m going back to my cave now….

locomotivebreath1901 on September 18, 2007 at 4:42 PM

Looks like she needs to wash her hair.

silenced majority on September 18, 2007 at 4:42 PM

See what happens to you if you watch tooo much TV.

You could be next. Don’t think there’s an inoculation for for that just yet. Hopefully it’s in the trial stage. : )

Texyank on September 18, 2007 at 4:45 PM

One of the very few benefits of having a Democrat elected to the highest office in the land is the likelihood that these groups will stop getting coverage.

They will have served their purpose and cease to be useful after the election. The MSM realizes this, even if these tools do not.

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity?

No.

SouthernDem on September 18, 2007 at 4:50 PM

Notice how Alex Jones gets some killer product placement for that speech? The guy’s in the t-shirt selling business and he’s been reeling in these suckers with his NWO conspiracy since the mid 90’s.

When are people going to wise up?

Rob Taylor on September 18, 2007 at 4:50 PM

Authority is not truth? Then why you still standin’ behind the do not cross line, lady?

Connie on September 18, 2007 at 4:51 PM

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity?

She was the star of “Mac and Me”. Don’t any of you have children?

Harpoon on September 18, 2007 at 4:53 PM

The ‘laws of the universe’? Ya mean like the law of gravity? Like when a 767 hits a skyscraper and gravity pulls it down?

We don’t call ‘em ‘libtards’ for nuthin’.

Tony737 on September 18, 2007 at 4:54 PM

I feel a little bit better when I see I’m not the only one who’s never heard of Christine Ebersole. However, I have no intention finding a cave since apparently not knowing about her has caused me no discomfort at all.

jeanie on September 18, 2007 at 4:54 PM

Lord. Don’t those children have parents?

ROFL – great question. Silver bracelets just don’t match the gold hoops.

On-my-soap-box on September 18, 2007 at 5:06 PM

Sorry, no idea who this skank is.

How is it? my New York friends, that you can allow this type of demonstration at Ground Zero (hallowed ground that it is) without kicking some major ass?

conservnut on September 18, 2007 at 5:06 PM

Never even heard of her before, nor do I care about what she has to say nlw.

ViperPilot on September 18, 2007 at 5:08 PM

“This does not happen with a plane hitting it…”

And she knows this because…?

Jaibones on September 18, 2007 at 5:13 PM

I had to look her up…

Ohhhhh THAT idiot. Meh..who cares what she says?

tickleddragon on September 18, 2007 at 5:18 PM

Bleach blond in a leopard coat. No clue who she is, but her rant is dumb enough to get her tenure at any NY university.

Hening on September 18, 2007 at 5:19 PM

i wonder if dick ebersol approves of this?

No, she doesn’t qualify as a celebrity. Let Triumph give you the skinny on the Tonys

Nicholson, Pitt, Jolie – These are just a few of the names of people who will not be anywhere near this place tonight. It’s a cavalcade of nobodies.

This show is a “who’s who” of who cares!

Anyway, am I sick for wishing for bad things to happen to these people?

Nope, and we don’t have to wish, Karma is a bitch!

Every day, every couple of blocks, you can come across someone saying something crazy. You shrug it off. It is part of the charm and aggravation of the NYC living experience.

dedalus on September 18, 2007 at 5:40 PM

I guess so, I personally find it maddening. If I had lived there and lived through that, I am afraid I would end up going postal on these tools.

I guess it’s a good thing I don’t.

conservnut on September 18, 2007 at 5:45 PM

Am I wrong or didn’t Popular mechanics debunk nuts like Ebersole citing and using the very laws she spewed into her megaphone.

186k on September 18, 2007 at 5:46 PM

Ow. These people make my brain hurt. I want so bad to be able to wish them away. They’re using up all the valuable oxygen, oil and votes.

Does Christine Ebersole qualify as a celebrity?

Didn’t she have a minor role in “Amadeus” [film] about 1986?

186k on September 18, 2007 at 5:46 PM

The Truther stuff has been debunked beyond doubt. But the Truthers, in ther neverending quest for what isn’t, have even tried to debunk PopMech and Screw Loose Change among others.

The Truthers are classic examples of fingers in the ears…they’re already convinced, and anything else is part of a conspiracy to lure people from the “truth” of 9/11.

And strange as it is, they’re gaining momentum slowly but shurley.

JetBoy on September 18, 2007 at 6:18 PM

I happen to know that Ebersole’s parents used to belong to a Unitarian church in the north suburbs of Chicago. (Don’t know if they still do.) Just thought you all might like a tidbit on her liberal upbringing that you won’t find elsewhere.

radjah shelduck on September 18, 2007 at 6:22 PM

How absolutely INSULTING that the police, who were in all probability responders on 9/11, have to listen to the crap these losers spew!
I couldn’t just stand there so calmly.
BTW, hear the USA chants?

ArmyAunt on September 18, 2007 at 6:25 PM

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid . . . stupid.

Popular Mechanics forgot to calculate with their heart. Someone should notify them.

12thman on September 18, 2007 at 7:15 PM

stupid… stupid….stupid….stupid….
(to quote one above me)

Here, an actual global terrorist enemy declares war on them, and these lazy swizzlesticks decide to run away and hide in cozy paranoia instead of confronting the Jihadis. Those Islamo-charmers who slice peoples’ heads off in order to convince you of their belief system’s cutting-edge superiority.

It must be so much more comforting to hate the mythical Bush and his harmless minions than to rally and fight for your life against a brutal, all-too-real enemy.

For something as essentially minor as the JFK assassination, this mode of behavior is tolerable.

But when it throws a tactical psychosis into the war effort, these clowns have to be shamed into modesty.

And encouraged to shut up -because they’not only scientifically wrong, but they’re obnoxious.

And we prefer to be entertained, at least, by our fools.

Professor Blather on September 18, 2007 at 7:16 PM

Laws that God created and are supporteed by the Universe…
That’s, like, so deep.

Did she actually mention logic in that rant?
That’s, like, irony.

JEFF_IN_NC on September 18, 2007 at 7:34 PM

“9/11 Troofers are big fat slobs” they were chanting….right?

bikermailman on September 18, 2007 at 8:01 PM

She was on SNL during the season when the show was almost cancelled, before Eddie Murphy showed up to bail them out. I have not missed her.

Jim Treacher on September 18, 2007 at 8:31 PM

I’m sorry, but my immediate thought is that these people are freaking morons. Nothing says “I have no critical thinking skills” faster than someone trying to say that 9/11 was anything but a terrorist attack.

They’re just–stooopid.

I mean, really. Stupid with a double stoooooopid.

Meryl Yourish on September 18, 2007 at 10:26 PM

Another example of the greatest truth of all. NEVER give a megaphone to morons!

Yep, Ive brought that point up before on some truther sites to mock their stupidity by using a twist on PT Barnum’s famous quote, “there’s a twoofer born every minute!”

It must hurt to be so stupid, if not, it should!

It’s time to be forthright and stop beating around the bush.

All Truthers have sh*t for brains.

georgej on September 19, 2007 at 2:50 AM

Hey Chrissy

The Laws of
Physics
Chemistry
Mathmatics
Engineering
and
Astrology (well maybe not)

all support the “official” account of 9:11.

p.s. Fire does melt steel, just ask any steel worker.

GREENTURTLE on September 19, 2007 at 8:57 AM

Don’t recognize her; couldn’t care less.
These loons make no difference in the grand scheme. Let them play their role out and go away.

“Believe in what you see, and not what you hear?”
Okay; explain magic tricks/illusions. /nutcase
And while we’re not believing what we hear (what she says), why doesn’t she just do some “higher thinking” and realize how asinine that line/chant really is…
