The Hill reports about 200 ANSWER-istas arrested. (Also note how ANSWER’s crowd estimate is featured high up in the article. We were right in the middle of the crowd at the Capitol and walked the length of the moonbat convergence. There were certainly more of them compared to the March protest, but there’s no way there were 100,000. Knock off a zero and you’re getting closer to reality.)

I seem to recall that March protest (though it seems like it was a year or more ago), and didn’t the pro-troop crowd have the anti-war anti-troop outnumbered like 3 to 1? And wasn’t there hardly any footage on the news, and what coverage there was contained the inflated numbers (just like this time)? Perhaps someone can point me to a link (probably at MM’s site), because I’m having a tough time remembering exactly how that went down.

And FWIW, that 100,000 estimate wasn’t done by mistake… First of all, they’re liberals, so they’re required to lie almost constantly… but more importantly, they know that media will pick it up as “organizers estimate that there were 100,000″… So even though it’s accurate reporting, the proper thing to do would be to say “but it was no where near that.. the best estimates were….” But no, each party does their job here. The libs lie, the media reports it as “they said”, and the reader is left with the impression that it’s a verified fact that there were 100k.

If Malkin is to be believed, and she obviously should be, then wouldn’t the reporter notice that maybe 1/10 of that estimate was present? They know, but they get away with the lie, by attributing it to the “organizers”.

About 13 blocks away, nearly 1,000 counterprotesters gathered near the Washington Monument, frequently erupting in chants of “U-S-A” and waving American flags.

I couldn’t care less about St. Cindy, but I was wondering if Michelle (or anyone) could tell us how accurate the “nearly 1,000″ figure on the pro-troop side is?
