Pressure has to be sustained on the members of M.O.L.D. (Move On Lap Dogs) namely the Democratic Presidential candidates. They would love nothing more than to see this go away.
I know Sen. Coleman(R) has denounced the MoveOn ad, but I have yet to hear back from my other senator, Sen. Klobuchar(D). It will be interesting to see how she dodges the issue.

Dude, the no-blood-no-foul game you suggest was never agreed to by anyone, nor suggested by anyone, so your analogy is not apt.

“No blood no foul” isn’t always explicitly agreed to at the start of a game, but a lot of games evolve that way. Point is if you throw an elbow or, in this case, name-call you aren’t really credible pointing the finger when the other side does it.

My question is was Michelle right when she said that “This kind of play on words” is what you’d expect on a fourth rate blog? She was speaking to the rhetorical device not the target of the rhetoric.

Name calling is not helpful to exchanging ideas. It can be fun and sometimes witty. What doesn’t work is to engage in name-calling and then blame the other side for doing the same thing.

If you are playing a “no blood no foul” game then it works that way for both sides.

It would be as if a group ran a full-page ad in the WSJ or Washington Times calling Anthony Zinni “Tony Treas-inny” just because he had some issues with how the Iraq war was laid on.

That was a good interview on both sides, with both women on top of their facts. It’s a nice contrast to the baldfaced lies and filibustering you usually get from the Democrats. Bravo.

We can’t allow the real purveyors of treason and sedition to get away with calling a man who’s served our country honorably a traitor.

Cheap shot, juvenile wordplay from Moveon.org about a guy I really admire. However, Michelle’s fourth-rate left-wing blog comment had a false ring to it. Given that Allah, just above, calls Harry Reid “Dingy Harry” is Michelle implying that HotAir is a fourth-rate blog? I don’t think it is.

Astute analysis. The good cop/bad cop thing is exactly right.

I just hope most Americans – including mainstream Democrats – can see through that smokescreen.

I really can’t even believe we’re now at the point where – for partisan reasons – people are essentially calling our highest military leaders traitors, in time of war.

It makes me glad both my (WW II veteran) grandfathers aren’t alive to see it.
