I like your idea of using a candidate. Or possibly a vet with a message of, “I came home because I had to. Don’t pull my brothers and sisters in arms out while we’re taking it to the enemy. Victory is within our reach.”

But active duty Troops, sadly, aren’t supposed to get involved with political messages. More’s the pity.

But! You could have someone else do the voiceover praising him and saying essentially the same thing… hmmmm… like say a candidate for POTUS?

I haven’t seen these adds on TV, but I’ve heard something similar on the radio.

Just as with the campaign D.A.R.E. had against drugs, if the Dumbs don’t comdemn them (moveone.org), they support them.

I’m not crazy about the Freedom Watch ads. The VO bothers me and they have a bit of a “victim” tone. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad they’re out there swinging the bat. The first batch just wasn’t a hit for me.

We need some spots with a bit of an @$$kicking tone. Or maybe individual stories of heroism…

And who are the people they show on the map? It goes by so fast I don’t have a clue what that is all about.

I think they need to mention that every Senator approved Petreaus’ nomination and he told them exactly what he planned to do, and he kept his word and did what he said he would do. How can that be a betrayal?

Weren’t they “doing Bush’s bidding” when they voted for Petreaus?

why is that group giving moveon the attention it desperately desires. everytime you mention moveon.org you give out their website – all you remember from the first ad is moveon.org . That’s the worst type of ad.

Yeah thats the first thing that came to mind when I saw the ad. It probably would be far more effective (far less distructive) to just state that liberal democrats bought a full page ad in the NYTimes just to smear the general leading our troops in battle. Nobody could deny that Moooveon.org is entirely made up of liberals. Some might split hairs and state the fact that there are moooooveon members affiliated with the Communist party and not the democrat party but to me that is a distinction without a difference.

Freedom Watch ads are bad.

Since when is American security “melodramatic”? I assume you’re for an Iraq pullout ASAP, but if history teaches us anything, it’s that cut-and-run is the worst possible scenario.
