Proof positive of just how big this national in-joke has gotten. Yes, it’s Seth Green of “Austin Powers” and “Family Guy” (and “Robot Chicken”). No, it’s not as funny as that amateur Bush goof from yesterday (except for the eyeliner gag). Yes, you can expect an average of one new viral parody video in this vein every day for the next, oh, three weeks.

I’m still waiting for the kathy griffin parody.
(I still don’t know who the h3ll she is…..)

why does this impersonation remind me of Bob Goldthwait ?

“And I am tough to go through because I am tangible.”
haha. No, it’s not quite as good as the President Bush one, but it had it’s moments. I like the Robot Chicken plug at the end too.

I’m just wondering how a two-minute video clip….heck, in the case of the dramatic chipmunk , only 5 seconds!…goes so viral so quickly. You can literally be a nobody one day, and have half a million views the next…complete with parodies out the wazoo.
Exactly how does that happen?
JetBoy on September 14, 2007 at 2:24 PM
Yeah, this isn’t gonna go away for a while…is it?

I see a sellout of mustard yellow sheets at all the local Bed, Bath, & Beyond’s….

I think I’ll go look at some more half naked, buff Mormon guys.
KelliD on September 14, 2007 at 2:28 PM
I thought this was going to be about Ryan Crocker.

I have to disagree. I thought the Bush concept was hilarious but felt the video didn’t quite live up. This one was better than the concept.
Esthier on September 14, 2007 at 2:32 PM
Oh no you di’n't. Robot Chicken is funnier than those other two projects, by far. How dare you relegate that to a parentheses!

I caught a big “F*** you!” in this video about three-fifths through. You might wanna throw up a “mild content warning”
Viewtifulgare on September 14, 2007 at 3:10 PM
Agreed, agreed, agreed! I laughed so hard I had more tears than the original! Good thing I know about waterproof eyeliner.
RushBaby on September 14, 2007 at 3:50 PM
I made the Seth Green connection days ago… ; )

Chris Crocker’s been something of a “phenom” on the Webernets for a few months now, with other insanely outrageous video blogs. But the Britney thing probably hit critical mass when it was featured on Attack of the Show a few nights back.
Mindcrime on September 14, 2007 at 4:45 PM
I disagree… I usually find Seth Green disappointingly unfunny (when I see him on shows like Conan, etc.), but this was really good… and I think better than the “Leave Petraeus alone” bit.
RightWinged on September 14, 2007 at 5:00 PM
Go Seth! And Robot Chicken rocks, yo! (*grin*)
tickleddragon on September 14, 2007 at 5:02 PM
Seth Green could read his shopping list online and I’d enjoy it. Been loving his work since Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

And somewhat Pauly Shore.

“YOU HAVEN’T SPENT A MILE WALKING IN HIS SNEAKERS!….or, platform…pumps, Idunnowhathewears BUT I BET IT’S STYLISH!”
I laughed so hard I needed new eyeliner. Great stuff!
Agree tho about content warning needed for the “f-you” in the middle.
