I have lost family to violence… murder. The pain is unspeakable and the negative impact on my life can not be quantified. But despite your own bravado and my own anger, revenge is not always an option.

I certainly will not judge how another family handles their own personal tragedy. I am not questioning Fred Goldman, Kim Goldman nor anyone in the Brown family. They are the living victims of this crime. I will probably buy the book, just to contribute to the Goldman’s royalties.

None of that changes my line of questioning. What stake do you have in this story? What about it makes you so willing to invoke murderous revenge? There’s a lot worth dying for. But are you really suggesting that somebody sacrifice their own freedom in order to kill OJ Simpson? What a waste that would be.

What would be the reasoning for killing OJ? Is he the only killer walking around free? Is vigilante justice acceptable? If so, what makes this case so special? Why not avenge all victims of violent crime?

Has anybody seen the movie The Klansman? Highlights from the film include OJ dressed in a KKK hood, dodging a moving train, and holding 2 people hostage while riding in the back of a Ford Bronco.

Notice the barely legible “if” and read the name at the bottom of the cover.

OJ has salable property (the memorabilia)? I’m sure that revelation peaked the interest of the Brown and Goldman families.

Sales of the memorabilia will go up.

I thought a primitive, hateful, racist jury set him free. Which was then followed up with polls showing 90% plus of similar ilk thought him truly not guilty…

The book rights were taken from O.J. by the courts. The Goldman’s pushed for publication of this book. Fred Goldman will have signed off on the book cover.

I’m thinking it shouldn’t have been published. What do you think?

But then again she’s not the most reliable source. (heh I hope she doesn’t read this)

No way. A sociopath with a temper, a superiority complex, who murdered his estranged wife and another man and then wrote a book essentially confessing to it after his acquittal… the last person you’d expect.

I don’t see anything coming from this. While it would be nice to see him get some sort of justice served for his crimes, I can’t Imagine him getting a day in jail for this.

Did you listen to the police captain at the first press conference? Not only did he promise a “biased” investigation (just a slip of the tongue, but he said it very firmly… and it was funny how he said competent and biased in the same sentence… I was like, “Yeah! Nail him,)… he was SO obviously nervous. You could hear it in his voice.

He’s picturing his entire career and reputation disappearing if he gets this wrong. He doesn’t want to mishandle this.

I was hauling stone uphill by wheelbarrow all morning (and repeating this line to myself) the day O.J. was baptized in the healing blood of white lynchin’ retro guilt and set free. My disappointment and loss of respect for lawyers and the judiciary doubled negatively from an already low status.

But it was the perfect rock hauling mantra.

In the general population. He can show how tough he is.

Now what right headed person would do this…in any way. If the fella in the hotel room has stolen my things then I call the cops and get a lawyer to back it up with a lawsuit.
But OJ decides to play Sonny Corleone. Book him into the Las Vegas jail and forget about him.

It wouldn’t cover taking items that he didn’t honestly believe belonged to him, but as long as that was unintentional and he willingly returns it, I would question whether there is any criminal liability here.

(although if they were really using guns, that might entail some kind of liability)

It does point out a rather massive character flaw though, doesn’t it?
