I keep pointing at Evan Sayet because his analysis of the situation was so pithy.

He called himself a “9/13 Republican,” because that’s when he realized after years of denial that his Liberal friends really did hate America.

As to Mr. Crackheaded Dimwit, try that one as an opener when you’re speaking at an FDNY memorial dinner, just make sure the cameras are rolling ’cause I want to see that.

I read a while back that there is a “competence floor” at around the 12th percentile level where people lose the ability to determine their own competence – and generally radically overrate it. i.e. someone who’s 90% competent rates themselves near there, someone who’s 20% competent rates themselves near there, but at 12% they’re so damned clueless they think they have a grip on the situation.

Mr. Brolin is a 12-percenter. Or less. At life.
