Maybe the answer to the demands for withdrawal is; We will withdraw our troops from Iraq as soon as we figure out how to withdraw our troops from Germany (100,000), and Japan (30,000). Sixty two years and counting. :-)

We have permanent bases in those countries, and in S. Korea. I expect the same will happen in Iraq.

However, in 4 or 8 or 12 years his nutcase base will grow up, move out of mommy’s basement and have kids.

Then, they’ll wake up one morning and realize that it takes serious people to run the country, not arm chair quarterbacks with no ideas of their own.

That’s how lots of folks become conservative.

i have a house full of “American people” (3 kids a wife 2 cats a dog and myself) and we support our POTUS and our TROOPS without question Mr.Silky and Dems, so just stfu already about what the “American people” want and just say “You” want to create a rift in our country for your own personal gain… i mean come on.

You know what? One problem I see with this guy is that he is young enough and rich enough to come back often. I think he knows he has no chance…this time. We have a saying in our office: “the confidence of ignorance.” Fits Silky to a tee. Hasn’t been to Iraq, knows nothing of the war and the operations and what successes our troops are having, and shows no knowledge of the animosity of the various factions over there. Yet, he speaks authoritatively on what the “solution” is. At some point he is going to have to realize, the jury of the American people are not buying what he is trying to sell.

If I only heard him, I would bet he was 6-3, about 280lbs based on the way he can pick the goal posts and move them around so easily. Now the meme is “political solution.” General Petaeus reports on military progress and local level successes, so now the complaint is there is no political solution. Once there is success there, he’ll move the posts again.

It bothers me that he refers to President Bush as “George Bush.” Not ‘the President’ not ‘President Bush’ just ‘little George.’ It shows a lack of respect for the office and the man. Not that it’s suprising. He’s trying to bring the President down, trying to marginalize him. Typical of a trial lawyer, I’ve seen these guys even fail to give a capitol ‘D’ in ‘defendant’ in their briefs. Edwards is a parlor trick lawyer, and while he seems to be good at it, it just shows his character. More importantly, it shows that he should never be given the office of the President; especially since he seems to have such a low opinion of it…
