Sooner or later they all give milk……….

doriangrey on September 13, 2007 at 1:32 PM

…kind of cut off abruptly near the end. Was he coming on to her or what?

MadisonConservative on September 13, 2007 at 1:34 PM

I think I just threw up in my mouth just a little there.

journeyscarab on September 13, 2007 at 1:35 PM

Oy.

amerpundit on September 13, 2007 at 1:36 PM

We can now add sexual harrassment to Fred’s imaginary sins.

jihadwatcher on September 13, 2007 at 1:36 PM

Ahhhh! Noooooo! Nooooo! Freedddd??

That is hilarious!

Zetterson on September 13, 2007 at 1:37 PM

AAAHHHH!!!! I’m FedExing my lawyers and hopping on AmTrak!!!

see-dubya on September 13, 2007 at 1:37 PM

He and Billy C have far too much in common. Scary.

Zetterson on September 13, 2007 at 1:38 PM

Funny things is, there are a few here (who shall remain nameless because we know their names) that will consider this evidence of their contentions!

Darksean on September 13, 2007 at 1:38 PM

LOL…..good with the bad. As an official money-giving Fred!head I declare this a fair shot across the bow. Now about that Bedtime for Bonzo clip………….

I saw that show.. its ends with him asking her to sing the national anthem, then grab herself and spit on the ground.

She replied that she would never do anything that disgusting.

GoodBoy on September 13, 2007 at 1:39 PM

I can’t wait to see csdeven’s reaction to that video. Or actually, I can.

Christoph on September 13, 2007 at 1:40 PM

As long as it wasn’t Rosie! That I couldn’t live with.

I saw that show.. its ends with him asking her to sing the national anthem, then grab herself and spit on the ground.

I thought she said “The day I lower myself to that is the day people tell you to run for president!”

MadisonConservative on September 13, 2007 at 1:41 PM

Hey, at least he compared her to a cow…

Hollowpoint on September 13, 2007 at 1:43 PM

Holy crap. I used to watch that show after getting off the bus, and if memory serves me right that itch he wants scratched is just for her to stop being such a loud mouthed smart ass in front of the other employees.

Someone please find the whole clip and prove me right.

BadgerHawk on September 13, 2007 at 1:43 PM

All that proves is that Fred! is a good actor.

(He probably hurled after doing that scene)

More cushion for the pushin’

Fred’s new motto!

lorien1973 on September 13, 2007 at 1:45 PM

Wow.. now that’s just nasty. He’s definitely good at what he does. They can’t accuse him of being mediocre like they did to Pres. Reagan, because to make that remotely believable takes some skills. I mean, look what he ACTUALLY married. You cheat on her with that?

MadisonConservative on September 13, 2007 at 1:50 PM

Yeah, but he makes up for it with his distinguished service in the Navy as captain of an aircraft carrier, when he helped the Scottish Russian guy defect.

liquidflorian on September 13, 2007 at 1:50 PM

Reagan would never have done that.

Oh you can imagine what the BillaryMachine has in the vault, not to mention what NBC is digging up from the Law and Order out takes.

Well kiss my grits anyway!

Limerick on September 13, 2007 at 1:52 PM

From the comments at YouTube:

He doesn’t try to seduce her in this episode. It was just edited to made it look like he did. After he closes the door, her ’scratching of his back’ refers to her not belittling him in front of other employees. This video’s Dishonest, but even if he had been, who cares? he’s an actor playing a role. And his real wife is no roseanne barr

I am a genius!!!

BadgerHawk on September 13, 2007 at 1:52 PM

csdeven is behind this…I just know it…

JetBoy on September 13, 2007 at 1:53 PM

Yeah I think this disproves that Jeri is a trophy wife. Obviously she was what he needed to get over the trama of that acting gig

William Amos on September 13, 2007 at 1:53 PM

Fred was asked what happened when women chased him. He said, “they usually caught me more often than not.” He has a track record, but most of those have very high regard for him.

Christoph on September 13, 2007 at 1:32 PM

Um, can’t we just drop this now? Geez. I don’t think anyone of our regulars (and I do mean the ones that we see all the time on here) would harm a child, Christoph. Look up “flippant comment” in the dictionary and apply it.

Sorry to jump back into the fray here, but I’m not sure why you apologized to me and are still railing on the others. On such an unimportant (or at least to anyone except Rosie and her family/friends) issue, you’ve completely gone ’round the bend. And whether it’s true or not, your overreaction gives some of us the idea that you are reacting to something that happened to you, not to Rosie. For that, if it’s true, I’m sorry. But chill already.

Oh, also, you do realize that all of this could have been avoided with a MORE diplomatic response to begin with. I’d not have been so indignant if you’d come back at the beginning with “I’m sorry but I find your comments disturbing and disresectful – please tell me you don’t really mean it.” That would have been far more civil and respectful than telling us we were “disgusting” and are “pigs”. You rail against what the dKos folks do…but those first lines were as bad as you think ours were. You don’t change peoples’ minds by being nasty, you know.

With much respect – T.

The connection Fred was making between milkin’ and Roseanne is technically true.

Harpazo,

I’ve heard about that so many times but honestly, that is the first time I’ve actually watched the video. Kind of disturbing to tell you the truth. Part of me loves the sense of humor but another part of me is going, jeez is that really the kind of guy I want to be POTUS? I wonder how many times we are going to be forced to watch that piece of film throughout the next year? My guess is, if Rudy wins the nomination, that video is going to be on the news every night. Every night.

‘Twould be far better to see “I shall take my business to Freep!”

MadisonConservative on September 13, 2007 at 2:30 PM

I guess I’m one of the few that thinks this election is serious business. So far, having seen the rhetoric for/against Fred and less so against Mitt, in whom I could find many faults, I shouldn’t be surprised this shows up here. Any idiot would never even consider the actor here as realistic Fred. BTW I still am supporting Duncan Hunter for Pres. and Mike Steele for VP….. pie in the sky? I’d rather that then trouble myself with the Fred/Mitt dialogue in here.

MNDavenotPC on September 13, 2007 at 2:32 PM

Instead of the “Hunt for the Red November”, he could go with “the man with the big soft hands to hold the babes with”.

I bet Fred doesn’t try to use that bit of his acting persona to garner votes from the groupies.

Bwahahahahaha!!! I wonder how they process that confusion? But wait, Fred is an admiral and a DA, not a womanizing man whore!!!

Fred’s womanizing ways revealed

Brings up an interesting point. McCain, Giuliani and Thompson all left their wives for other women. Do these deviations from traditional marriage cancel each other out? Will there be an overall depresson on Republican voter turnout because of it?

Mark Jaquith on September 13, 2007 at 4:40 PM

I’m not a huge Fred fan, but he at least did his “womanizing” while he was single, did not betray a spouse, did not rape or attempt to rape any woman, and his “other” relationships were so consensual that his former girlfriends still have affection and respect for him.

I’m not a fan of running around, either, but it says something about his ability to respect the women he was with.

Mommynator on September 13, 2007 at 4:48 PM

Mark Jaquith on September 13, 2007 at 4:40 PM

Thompson didn’t leave his wife for a new wife. What the heck are you talking about?

Limerick on September 13, 2007 at 4:51 PM

Thompson was divorced 17 years before marrying Jeri.

Limerick on September 13, 2007 at 4:54 PM

AP,

A great send up on Fred.

However, I do believe that there are some who actually equate his TV and movie roles with his real life.

I have heard of people having problems with such transference, which is truly scary.

As for those who consider him a womanizer, (I believe in the modern day vernacular it’s called dating) I suspect a little envy is raising its ugly head. I’m must assume that if these same people were bachelors like Fred they’d be sitting at home watching reruns of Gilligan’s Island while awaiting a call from a women they met the night before in some bar.

pocomoco on September 13, 2007 at 4:55 PM

csdeven on September 13, 2007 at 5:00 PM

People often cite things that aren’t true in divorce proceedings. I’d take this with a grain of salt.

jdawg on September 13, 2007 at 5:12 PM

CALIFORNIA LEGAL GROUNDS FOR DIVORCE:
Dissolution of the marriage or legal separation may be based on either of the following grounds: (a) Irreconcilable differences, which have caused the irremediable breakdown of the marriage; or (b) Incurable insanity (only upon proof). [Based on California Family Code - Sections: 2310]

Funny, it says nothing about cruelty.

In California, however, it is considered cruelty when a husband will not let his wife have the Mercedes so she can go shopping at Guccis.
