Figures, there would be one PC liberal in our midst who would take offence to anyone stating the obvious. Too bad Bill Cosby himself would disagree with you about the condition of young black America. And he’s been attacked for doing so. And I’d say he has plenty of experience with black people.

There are Black metal, rock and country bands. But they don’t get shown on the music channels or played on the radio. Inner city youth, of all races, are bombarded with one image of “Blackness” to emulate, but it’s not coming from the Black community at large, unless you think rap labels are really owned by some Black guys. It’s unfair to attack the gangsta culture as part of the break down of the Black community when it is funded and produced and primarily consummed by Whites.

And Fiddy will kick West’s ass eventually.

There is a crisis among young black men. But since when do rappers and professional athletes comprise the spectrum of young, black men? And calling professional athletes ill-disciplined is oxymoronic. By default they endure thousands of hours of structure and rigor to succeed in their respective sports. Also, comparing gangbangers to celebrities belittles their brutality and criminality.

You claim the past 25 years has brought us to some new low in society. What happened in 1982 that spawned this new “subculture in the black population?”

Commercially successful rappers are often ostentatious and arrogant. So what? That’s the kind of person who seeks out super-stardom. Is Kanye West any more obnoxious than Ann Coulter? I like Ann Coulter, but I don’t let that fact blind me to her flaws and foibles.

You’re the same guy who was blaming sharia law for the Southwest mini-skirt ejection. You make this decrees with no supporting evidence, only your anecdotal and superior perspective.

I submit to you that most Americans have serious misconceptions about the lives of ordinary black people. If I formed my perceptions about Christians from TV, I would be equally confused. Pan out a little. Get out into the world and look for something different than you expect to see.

Young black men in America have a lot of trouble growing up. Rappers and professional athletes are, along with the gangbangers, are some of the most ill disciplined, classless, but arrogant and aimless people in society.

Yep.

At first, the liberals said it was because of poverty. We all knew that was an excuse. And here is the proof once again. Even with millions, the behavior does not change.

Such a subculture in the black population never before existed until the last 25 years. But a whole generation now has grown up this way. It does not bode well for the future.

Kanye achieved great acclaim as a producer before he was ever signed as a rapper. The fact that you only know of one hit does not make someone a one-hit wonder.

You don’t have to like his music, but try to avoid going into “rap rage.”

Also, this tongue-in-cheek usage of the phrase “nword” is really kinda pedestrian. But, I realize it has become a rite of passage in some circles to either say, slip in or hint at using the so-called “nword” in public. A few more times and you’ll be eligible for Edge & Irony Merit Badge.

My husband was watching Mind of Mencia yesterday, and Carlos had made a video making fun of Kanye. Pretty funny.
