Special. Place. In. Hell. For those fiends.

May it never happen here. May it never take that to wake more of us up. But I'm so afraid that may only be wishful thinking.

Sixth anniversary and now this. Not a good week for my blood pressure or my mood, but I never resent the reminders. Thank you, Michelle.

If you look at the voting demographics of the 2004 Presidential election, you will see that American women of child bearing age abandoned the Democratic party (dumping the John-John ticket) and voted for George W. Bush in droves. Ever since the '04 election, I have harbored a strong suspicion that THIS event in Beslan was the principal reason that those women switched parties and voted Republican. The event took place only a few weeks before the '04 election.

My point previously regarding the Second Amendment, which I probably didn’t make very well, is there was a time when Americans weren’t “allowed” to help out in a crisis, they were expected to. And the government authorities welcomed it.

You communicate well. I agreed with you earlier and here as well.

The people at Beslan showed up with their own weapons and joined in to help out with no repercussions from the local authorities. What would happen here in America, land of the free, if locals showed up with their own weapons in a crisis?

And as an example of the erosion of our 2nd Amendment rights look at what happened in New Orleans after Katrina when the police dis-armed the locals.

Once again, worst case scenerio, suicidal Muslims have taken over an elementary school here in the US somewhere. Your kids are in there and beheadings have started. Are you going to watch it all play out on CNN? Are you going to show up with a weapon and demand an immediate storming of the school? What’s going to be the SWAT team response to your presumptuousness?

Just that screencap on the front page makes me choke up. It's so reminiscent of this photo from the Oklahoma City bombing. It shows what good, ordinary people around the world have in common when they face evil.

I have two girls aged 8 and 12. I live in the Houston area.
I can't bear to watch this but I do and it makes me so angry (and I think that's too mild a word). These creatures aren't human. They should be treated the same way one would treat a rabid dog.

Today, we sit back and let the SWAT team take care of it and watch it all play out on CNN. And if we have the gall to show up with a weapon we would more than likely be arrested on the spot.

If those country Russkies go hunting for the subhumans that did this, I wish those men the best of luck.

The Bible DEMANDS people (?) like them pay for their crimes.

And as someone else once said, "He who does not condemn evil commands it to be done!"

Seeing this again breaks my heart and makes me burn, deep down inside.
I have older children who are in high school now.
We watched this video together and discussed a plan, should any of the schools in our area come under attack. If I hear one inkling of this type of activity in any schools, I will call their schools immediately and have them brought out of class, to wait in a predetermined area that we have chosen. I will pick them up and bring them home.
It is believed that they will target the younger children, as they are less likely to fight back and are easier to frighten. My children need to know that these are possibilities and we need to be prepared.
This does not mean that we walk around in fear, we are just going to be prepared.
May God roast them if they try this here!

OMG...I had not seen this footage. This incident alone should have driven Putin to team up with the U.S. and fight the jihadis. Instead, he's busy showing off military strength to the U.S. as if we're some sort of threat.

I’m just bringing this up for people to think about what the Second Amendment means and how it’s been eroded.
BowHuntingTexas on September 13, 2007 at 12:05 AM

The Second Amendment was necessary because the Constitutional Framers had a Biblical view of human nature in that, unlike the American Left, they viewed human nature as being "morally depraved" or "sinful", hence the need for accountability in terms of armed citizen firepower. As one framer put it, "if men were angels, then no government would be necessary."

The 2nd Amendment is needed for the same reason why free markets and capitalism is required: and that is for Liberty, Freedom, and Virtue to flourish in society.

Without private investment and free markets to hold bureaucrats accountable, then we are left as tax-paying citizens with the same totalitarian government which the framers wanted to flee from.

For more information on the above, check out this excellent website.

I’m afraid, like 911, that will have to happen here before our elected officials will stop giving speeches, Homeland Security gets serious

Sadly I believe that is true.

I think there were about 350 people killed there. Mostly children.

In this video, there is no narrative and everyone is speaking Russian, but you get all you need to see from the last half of the video. It's about 8 minutes.

Beslan is Islam in its purist form. Chechens are a little heavier on the criminal side of things than most jihadists (perhaps they always intend to hand Allahs 20% of the booty over to the appropriate representatives but are content to spend it on logistics for jihad instead.)

Chechens lost a seat at the table of humanity for this act and deserve their harvest of destruction. Mainstream 'Slums admire and seethe on their behalf regularly.

I don't know if anyone saw this at the time of the 2004 U.S. Open, but 2 Russian women tennis players were in the finals. The opening ceremony featured the players wearing FDNY and NYPD baseball caps, and the post-match speech by the players was quite moving...particularly on the part of Elena Dementieva, who had just lost the match, had to speak first, and in her third language:

speech is about 3 minutes in...

How many other world-class athletes would be as poignant?

There's a strong example of the 2nd Amendment in all this. And, following, how it's been eroded here.

In the climax of this affair there were numerous locals who came out with (shudder) their own guns to engage these murderers. As far as I know they weren't well regulated but in the spur of the moment they were, indeed, a militia.

Other examples exist in our own country's history of armed citizens repelling those that would do them harm. For example, the citizens of Northfield, MN, in 1876, rose up and repelled the James Gang when they tried to rob the First National Bank.

During the Charles Whitman sniper shootings at the University of Texas, several citizens were involved by taking pot shots at Whitman while he was in the tower. They were (shudder) using rifles they'd taken right out of their vehicles (pick ups). In fact, there was a citizen in the tower (Allen Crum) who was deputized on the spot to help out.

What are we going to do if (or when) a gang or suicidal Muslims takes over an elementary school and demand the release of Zacharias Moussaoui? Just watch everything unfold on CNN while the SWAT team takes over? Or, if your kid's in the school, are you going to show up with grandpa's double barrel 12 gauge to help out (and probably get turned away, at the least, or arrested for interfering)? What do you think will happen if you show up with more than grandpa's 12 gauge and demand to do an immediate storming of the school?

And what are you going to do if beheadings start and they throw some kids head out through the window like it's a soccer ball? You think today's SWAT team is going to ask for your help and deputize you on the spot?

I'm just bringing this up for people to think about what the Second Amendment means and how it's been eroded.
